I'm sorry were you implying waiting a few seconds for a mob to start an attack, moving behind it to pummel it senseless, is more challening in some way than hitting tab, 1, 1, 2, 3? Cus eh after watching high level PVP and PVE and playing myself up to level 10, I can say it seems this pattern repeats throughout the game, with only a few monsters having abilities that force you to change your tactics. Seems rather simplistic. Almost like dancing. |

I agree with the OP on only one point. The Controls... Ah I thought it'd be wonderful, but after playing an hour I think I may have carpel tunnel syndrome already... I think its either buy a controller to play this game or skip it tbh. |

Tera vs. SWOTOR, the grind in two different flavors.

Originally posted by Alminie I don't think you read the OP. He was comparing SWToR and TERA and saying how similar the games were, nothing about his post made me think hes saying "TERA's awesome" Also, I've heard TERA's 1-60 flys by rather quickly, since the westernization cut down level time and they've added quests since release. |

Originally posted by Souldrainer Quite the reverse is true. Cata introduces LFR (looking for raid) so now everyone can experience the content. They made the dungeons in LFG give you a 15% buff to all your stats so you can do the heroics easier. They made it so more CC can effect more things longer easier and not start combat when you CCed things, you can now sheep things without it starting combat for instance. And these are just a few of the things they did in Cata to make it so EVERYONE could enjoy their game.
UNLIKE BC, where only 3%ish of their top players managed to down Sunwell at all? Anyone who wants to can kill Death wing. |

Originally posted by MMOExposed Considering the game is listed on this site, but doesnt' have its own forums, and the OP isn't trying to tell us how AWESOME their game experience has been so far, i'm going to say I doubt its an ad. Probably just someone asking an honest question. Never heard of this game before |

I mean seriously? So you admit that you don't care if they are born that way? That is rather narrowminded of you, I sincerely hope you reconsider these beliefs... people can't help how they were born or who they are, you should accept everyone for who they are and let them live their lives freely. Saying "don't be gay around me" is like saying "don't be a woman around me" or "don't be tall around me" it makes no sense and its rude.

Originally posted by 77lolmac77 Again, no offense intended, my point here is that you need to look at what you are saying in a different context and see that your viewpoint is unfair. Do you think people choose to be gay? If so you should really so some research before forming an opinion. Thank you.
Edit: all that being said, I consider myself a feminist, so thats why I choose to use these words, its easy to identify with their movement too, as everyone has a mother. |

Can't blame them, its human nature. Look how hard it is to turn away from a violent life, or one of meekness, or to leave behind things like caffine or sugar. We're creatures of habit. |

Originally posted by 77lolmac77 You are generalizing about a group of people, and that will always be wrong. (in the sense that any generalization of a large entity is foolish) saying EA is a bunch of liars, or that walmart employees are rude, or any groups is ____ is going to be wrong. You are trying to justify the generalization by saying that "most of them" are, or "Just the ones you've encountered", that doesn't change the premise, its just tyring to jutsify it. Lets replace your last sentance words just for some fun. Like I said, if you want to be a woman than ok, thats your choice. But dont think Im a bad person for not agreeing with it, or being annoyed by certain people who are women. now see how silly you sound? (I personally love women, I'm just trying to prove the point that you can't single out any group of people, its wrong and silly) We must be inclusive and fair and equal to all peoples of the world. Separate but equal is wrong.
Edit: I sincerely hope you've read my statement. I just wanted to point out I feel women are the most marginalized minority when it comes to video games, and I think its all sorts of messed up. My best friend is constantly being looked down upon or spoken down to because she happens to be a woman. That or worse the reverse, they think you are an airhead but ooo she has boobies! Lets give her things! Why can't we just judge ALL persons of the content of their charater. |

20 Examples of Choices Effecting Events Beyond the Cutscene
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 2/08/12 12:02:38 AM
They said early on in development that choices you make will have long term effects. Then later on they recanted saying that they didn't like gameplay choices that made you feel stuck that you couldn't take back later. Thats why they went with dark side and light side not having much difference... Only cosmetic and thats it... Kinda disapointing. |

Originally posted by tinuelle Well I mean, I'm not trying to derail this thread or anything, I genuinly liked RIFT a lot, I just don't like the idea of being forced into macroing abilities that way for optimal DPS /HPS / or whatever task is at hand... I mean if you guys are saying that macroing does NOT give you a distinct advantage I'd be excited to hear that... A year into this game's life span they sure have proven they can produce a lot of content... I'm rather impressed. |

Originally posted by Creslin321 Because the servers are on the same "physical server" They've explained this multiple times... Thats why when the game launched and everyone was in the starter zones (on early access it was reading as HEAVY LOAD) with even less than 110 people in the starter zones... with no one else in any other part of the game yet, what does this tell us? Its more stress on the server when there are more people in the same area. Its a well known fact. |

Complete and Total Garbage at 50
Reviews & Impressions « Star Wars: The Old Republic 2/06/12 5:08:15 PM
Sever load is calculated by the number of players taking up the servers' actual load. In other words, say 1000 people are in the starter zone, that means the server is offically "full" and no one can log on. Say there are 45 people in each zone of the game, game will read as "light" and let people log in. Load is determaned by how much stress is being put on the server, more people in the same areas = more server load.
So yeah your population guesses are completely unrelated to the server load that you see... Its like comparing how long a traffic jam will take to clear up by how many cars are involved in it... you aren't factoring in things like how many lanes of traffic, where the traffic is headed, what kind of cars they have etc... You are only using a tiny part of the data.... |
