Its a tough climate right now for game development and entertainment in general.

Trion is doing rather well, and I don't think their failures as of recent will effect ArcheAge's future.  However, I could just be optimistic.

I've been looking for one for a while, I tried 'Lords of Ultima' and it was ok...

Anything like it but a bit less time sinky and a bit more actiony... 

Any suggestions or ideas for what kind of Quality MMORTS games are out there?

I guess you are right, games should be entirely free to play, game makers should work for us for free.  Maybe they can throw in McDonald's advertisements and Abercrombie clothes in all of their games so that way they can afford to eat?

Yeah... I'll say the way we have it now is better.  I'd rather not stop playing every 5 minutes to watch an ad Thx.

Hello all you wonderful MMORPG.com members!

Some of you may know me, others might just be curious about Neverwinter, either way I'm here to post about my foundry quest that I recently completed.  It took me 35 hours to create and Its within the cannon of The Forgotten realms with characters of my own creation and design.  

Please if you are on Neverwinter, and looking for something fun to do, check out 'God's Tear'  

I warn you it is a difficult quest, it normally requires a group to complete, if you can manage without one then I applaud you now!

Im some ways yes, as i stated the cash shop is annoying and intrusive and it ruins my personal experience unfortunatly.  Just makes me a bit i guess, sad?, that such a good game is ruined in my eyes by a business model.

Also there are others that are sequels, and others that also share the same world just hundreds of years apart.

As others pointed out, Chocobo's and Moogles are in many games, this is Final Fantasy Online, so it is going to encorporate elements from other final fantasies in it, as Yoshi P himself stated.

It has PVP, fyi.  Instanced BGs but it still has PVP.  There even a daily that rewards you with 1000 astral diamonds (main currency) for doing one.

2 mil divided by 1000, do the math and see how P2W this game is. The main thing that makes me reconsider trying the game. It would take me 2000 days just to get those 2 mil, doesn't make sense at all.

Yes, ONE quest gets you 1k Astral Diamonds.

Thats about 10 minutes of time spent.  

Now compare that time spent getting that vs time spent getting the mone you would have spent on Diamonds / Zen.

Time is Money friend.

If something takes you 3 months of grinding in a sub game to get, you spent around 45 bucks to get that item.  (To have the privliage of earning the item)  

If you spend 45 bucks on their cash shop you get the item now in a Cash shop game, or you could play for 3 months doing dailies and quests to get the same item for free.

Seems balanced and not pay to win.

I really like the TV show, I think its doing great, and I'm not alone judging by its increased viewership as the series progresses.

I think the acting is great, and the setting / theme is excellent too.  I have no idea how someone could think they ripped off Battlestar... they are simply nothing alike.

Great show, can't wait for the next episode.

Edit: I used to think we were all just really hard on games here... I guess we're just hard on every sort of media.  I think the bar is too high for some of you, or you are just impossible to please.

While I enjoyed your /popcorn worthy back and forth...  It just seems like you really are intent on disliking NW.  Which is fine, but I'm not sure why you are trying so hard to convince us / yourself of how terrible the game is...

Also, Trickster Rogue is extremely fun, and belongs in the game, and I have no idea what you mean by it's 'boring and unnecessary' The game needs classes, obviously, so its not unnecessary at all.  And since boring is subjective... I can't argue it but lets be honest, if you don't like an extremely mobile fast paced stealth class... you don't like fun.
