I'm using IE 8.0 and I have had zero problems. Might be a user error. |

Wife and i went to best buy last nite and they had a stack of pre-order boxes. We picked up 2 and have our keys and are ready for the next weekend with no problems or hassle. |

I forgot to mention earlier. My family plays on the Butcherblock server. If you would like to duo sometime let me know.
You can find me on: Twangin - Dirge
Give me a shout, we can duo through some quests when you have time or you can join one of our groups. Mentoring makes the level difference not such a big deal anymore. |

Special-A
$802.00 dollars I've bought 3 systems from Ibuypower.com so far. Longest I've waited was 6 days to get it on my front porch. Never had a problem. Booted up perfectly after I plugged it in. Parts chosen BY ME at order. You could build the same system using NEWEGG for about 100 dollars less. But I have a lifetime support and warranty through the company in addition to the standard manufacturer's warranty. NEVER buy from Dell. They sell 3rd rate hardware at premium prices and their customer support is a joke. Check out ResellerRatings.com and look for yourself. If you only have 800 bucks, I just gave you a PREMIUM gaming rig for that price with 8g RAM, a 64bit system and the 9800 series Geforce vid card which I use myself. This system will run anything out at max settings including Vanguard. Good luck with your choice, you've seen my suggestion :)

Easiest class will be Necromancer. Strong pet, versatility in spells, go crafting w/ sage and make your own spells from the stuff you gather and your good to go. Or go outfitter and make your own cloth armor, a set of mastercraft helps anyone. 2nd class would be Conjurer, same thing as necro on the good side. More damage later on, less versatility. 3rd would probly be the shadowknight, very much like a DK in wow only much easier to solo with. 4th if you like nuking stuff on a squishy, try a Warlock, lots of fun there and you can bump your survival by adding on the Stamina. Hope this helps :) Sorry and no offense to above poster, i simply disagree with them "all classes can solo" when they can not realistically. Certain classes are simply MISERABLY difficult to solo. The 4 I've mentioned will allow you to solo without playing the game in a VERY "not fun" manner. |

You made your points well and if these responses were made by people who bothered to read your entire post I think many of them would not have replied. I've noticed that a large number of the people who post on MMORPG.com never bother to read the article fully. They read a portion until they find something they can troll about and then begin their reign of stupidity. I liked the article. I agree with everything you said and I am looking forward to the game. EverQuest II: Video Interview with Alan Crosby
News Discussion « General Discussion 6/23/09 8:30:49 AM
Normally I am one of the neysayers. But this time, you are all simply wrong. I resubbed about 4 weeks ago. This game is fantastic. The graphics are superb. I'm running a Gforce 9800 with maxed settings and it's absolutely beautiful. The new shadow effects will just make it that much better. The storylines are wonderful, the quests have meaning! You can download the additional content and there is Voiceovers for EVERYTHING. When I click on an NPC to get a quest they talk to me for the entire story of the quest it's fantastic. The crafting is really very good. It is on par with Vanguard which has the best crafting I've ever seen. I've said bad things about Sony myself. I am sorry the SWG people are so upset about losing what they loved in their game. That simply has no place here, though. Your wrong about this game. Plain and simple. You'd have to pull the hate covered blinders off to see that though, so it's really up to you now. Everquest II is wonderful. Throwing hate at it will not change the fact. It is a really fantastic game. I was telling my family how I wished I had resubbed months ago instead of replaying other MMO's that lost my attention so very quickly. |

Thank you Sigifrith. I am going to be playing on one of the North American servers. I know the EU servers have a good population but I'm concerned with the NA servers.

I'm waiting on Jumpgate Evolution. While I wait I had thought about resubbing to AoC and I was curious...would I be utterly alone playing through Tortage and the lvl 30, 40, 50, etc level content? I know in WoW right now, if you make a new character on most servers you get to experience the newby lands completely alone. This is about as much fun as watching paint dry. I like the MMO aspect of MMORPGs and was wondering what the lower level areas are like and if anyone has a good suggestion for a well populated server and or Guild that is open to a newby. I haven't played since about 2 months after release. Everything that has been changed or upgraded since then will be new for me. I also have a smoking new rig that I'm anxious to push the limits on so I'll be drooling at the DX10 eye candy a lot for my first few hours/days/whatever.
