General: Sanya Weathers's MMO Underbelly Debuts

Continue publishing articles and columns like this and less viral marketing for companies like SOE and this site may become relevant again. |

Free Realms. Proof that SOE is still a force in the mmo industry.

SOE is a force in the mmo industry in the same way the bowel movement I just had is a force in the waste disposal industry. |

Originally posted by daarco Really? Where are they? Searching the site for overview brings up this article and 100+ features and news items with overviews of certain aspects of different games (pvp overview, gear overview, class overview, etc.) but there is no other game overview like this one. Stradden was very quick to point out that this wasn't a review or even a preview but an overview...why the distinction? |

Sorry but i couldnt help it Nope, I'm just a fan of the mmorpg genre who is sad to see a once great website become nothing more than a marketing tool for developers. |

Originally posted by RBlackheart That's kind of the point of viral marketing...the developers get their press releases posted as "reviews" or "overviews" without paying a dime but honestly you lost all credibility with your statement that if a game is the most discussed game on mmorpg.com then it's the most discussed game in the universe. |

Originally posted by daarco Editorial content is fine but when it's paid advertising and developer press releases posing as editorial content then there is a problem. |

you do know you said "greater than 1%".....learn how to type corredtly? Maybe it was a spelling error but i seriously doubt it. It was probably a person who was undre the age of 15 and got "confused" on how to say what they wanted to say. I know this is picky but if you are going to argue a point please make sure you are correct in what you are arguing. And if you're going to flame somebody for a typo you might want to make sure you're quoting the right post. |

Originally posted by RBlackheart I think you're vastly overstating mmorpg.com's place in the world. This used to be a fantastic site to come and talk about mmorpgs but since it has become a mouthpiece for developers like SOE it has gone downhill quickly. It's become *very* obvious that advertising dollars are way more important to this site than its users. Luckily for mmorpg fans there are better places on the internet to discuss games that aren't bought and paid for by marketing departments. |

The new MMO for all is a horrible looking web-based game centered around a scammy looing RMT system? |

At this point what do they have to lose? They don't have any credibility left so they don't care if they go back on a previous promise. With the recent server merges and non-stop dwindling of the player base they are doing anything they can to justify the continued operation of the game. |

Wow that's bad... I guess the art department got tired of copying and pasting the BARC... |
