Man you Euro's whine more then us Americans... I hate to see how all the Aussies feel about the lag on there end... Can't think of to many Aussie Servers out there.... Casual gamers... so sad...
The Only Possible way I would play this if the MMO remained true to the IP... At character Creation Only One Facial Expression could ever be chosen.

The pieces do disconnect from each other. I remember seeing that either from the video about the Artemis or somehere on the concept/discussion page with razer on its Development. What I would love to see is that LCD screen in hte middle Be touch screen for cock pit controls/weapons selection or other states based on the controller. The controller yes designed for MWO in essence, is also being designed for other mech games that are supposed to be coming out according to the Razor Dev team. As for the STeel battalion shout out above, Love that Controller so much :) To bad they F'd up Steel battalion for the 360 and put it to that Kinect Garbage. But those of us who like new toys, will wind up buying the Atermis, I just want if there going to put a decent tab on it (which most likely they will) for them to get involved with it. With how cheap todays Tablets are, there is no reason you can't make that LCD Badass thats on it. Afterall if its going to be replacing my Saitek X 65 or my older x52, they better make it look worthwhile

Well the biggest problem with them creating factions is the IP holder... CBS.. Everything they do.. has to be cleared by them, Currently on the board is Romulan, after that Cardassians are slated. I mean you can make ferengi's You just dont fully have access to there ships as if they were a faction. But its only 2 years old.. Look how long Eve Online took to get where it is. There just limited by the current Engine they use.. Until they roll the new one there creating out.

I posted this on there forum a little while ago.

I understand the Lock boxes are a way of bringing NON FACTION ships into the game, What I do not understand is the way you are doing it. You started the test phase with the cardi boxes, Then the Ferengi. You were doing things right in the beginning by making tho prolly by glitch the GOLD boxes Tradeable. Locking this down I believe was a FAILED idea. The people who DID NOT want the gold boxes Were able to SELL it for EC to the people who DID WANT the Box. People are more willing to Spend EC on anothers GOLD BOX as well as Hard Earned CASH on Cryptic points for a MASTER KEY. I think with the GOLD BOX tradeable or taking the commonly dropped lock boxes out of the Dilithium mall and adding in the GOLD box instead you would make a more steady sale of the boxes. I remember someone previously said the REgular lock boxes were added and had the same drop rate as other items in the random drop Generator, I am not new to MMO's sir. If the lock boxes are truley added with a regular number to that generator and being UNCOMMON quality at that to, They should NOT be dropping more then COMMON quality Items. Now I have no problems Pushing Money into Keys, But if you want my money do it in an intelligent manner. I understand you need Resources coming in to support servers and programmer costs. But Most players in the SCI-FI genre are smarter then your typical Fantasy player groups. Alot of us are NOT casual gamers. But if the Developers treat us right, We are Very Loyal to the company. Offer us reasons to give us your money and we will. Get rid of the common boxes and just have the Gold boxes at a higher drop rate and make them Tradeable. This will remove the constant complaints of the box spam, while appeasing people wanting the gold boxes to open. If players know of a better box out there, There is more of a chance they will grind for that better box. Ditch the Mystery package also OR make the mystery package have the ability to Drop a GOLD box of any Current or PAST box offered. Make it a rare drop, not offered at the end of every mission or STF. If I get a Mystery box and opened it and say it popped me the opportunity of the past Jem hadar Attack ship, or galor, or in the future whatever. Theres more of a chance if I dont have that ship that I am gonna go and buy a Key to open it.

Another idea is a Total REVAMP of the GOLD and Lifetime Subsciptions. Give Gold members and life time members a hug of love. Lifetimers have taken the step of Complete Faith in your game, They dropped a huge amount of cash with the belief you were going to make something they were going to love to play for a LONG, LONG time. Reward them for that faith. Sure the ideas of never having to pay a sub is nice, The idea of the occasional dorky Veteran reward is nice, But Give them perks that Silver and gold don't have, I am NOT saying give them PAY TO WIN items. But Give them access to say Customizations for them, Make the Captains Table worth visiting. Hell LIFT the Dilithium Refinement Rate on them. I am sure as hell positive that IF lifetime subs had no refinement rate, people would be buying it. Double the rate of refinement for GOLD members. Again, The idea is to push the promise of a continious Flow of money. You will STILL get people buying CP, Even lifetime and golds. IF we see something worth getting, Trust me, We will do what it takes to get it. Fleet Starbases are coming out, Give a nod to the subs and give them some customization options for them Only, Kind of like how we have the Special com badges and titles. Give the PLAYER base a reason to buy the Sub, If there is a Reason, YOU WILL MAKE MONEY.

Talking About Subscriptions.. Cryptic Points... Use them for SUBS.. Eve Online has the ability for Players to spend ISK on PLEX.. Well guys,, People can grind Dilithium for CP.. Why not let them Grind that CP there earning into a GOLD SUB. Make it a Special Sub that doesnt Drop you 400 CP a month. But Gives the other benefits. Maybe 1500 CP a month Grants you Gold Status perks. Well maybe not 1500 since 1500 CPs = $18.75, maybee 1200-1250 CP, whatever. See what I am saying tho, You offer a reason for people to go CP crazy they will do it. We will buy CP and sell it for Dilithium, they will buy the CP ect. You have an influx in money consistantly happening by players.

The Lobi store is a nice idea, The Lobi Crystal Is not. It is Known that the Ferengi are constantly asking for Latinum, You should of Given the node to the Existing Latinum System, Add GPL to the Lock boxes instead of LOBI, Make GPL HARDER to get, or make the Stores items higher in prices to move with there Rarity. I understand the LOBI is supposed to be a Cash based currency, You ALREADY had that, It was Called the CRYPTIC POINT. Right now you have ENERGY CREDITS, DILITHIUM, CRYPTIC POINTS, and now LOBI CRYSTALS. Four currencies? Really? C'mon now, Little Rediculous guys. Work with the existing Systems that you have.

What it comes down to is, We have no problems Giving PWE/Cryptic Money, Just give us intelligent ways to do it and we will. Do not make it Pay to Win, you really havent so far everything is in reach of the player. But why should people Pay for gold OR lifetime, When for example *I will get flamed for this* You start your new character, Find out from a friend to Quick drop 15$ on it you get like 175-180$ worth of Upgrades to ALL your characters ( 1 fed, 1 kdf, 1 universal) Just buy it for the month, Grind the month and build your 3 characters and POOF you have a tricked out upgraded account, and Cancel the sub, 15$ no reason to continue the Sub. Thats poor business right there. Now I am not saying Strip the people of there Perks they earned. But think about it, 15$ gets you 175+ Worth of upgrades AND they STAY! The player unless he buys more character slots, Has no reason to drop Any more $$ on the game unless he sees a ship he wants. I know you guys are stuck trying to figure the subs out between the fairness of Silver (F2P model) and Gold/Lifetime But you need to do something to Keep your sub worth keeping. Lock Boxes are not the right way, niether is the Lobi market. Give a real reason to keep an Influx of money, One that does not revolve around quick sales, but more long term and STABLE money. What is going to happen when you run out of non IP ships to make to offer... What are you going to put into lock boxes then. I am pretty sure you will run out of ideas quick or the novelty of the boxes will wear thin quick, For the majority it already has. It's like an 800# constantly dialing you to buy something. It's just aggravated harrassment. Those Rare ships should be just that RARE. Instead of doing Set runs with the Race specific Gold boxes, add them to the random generator and set them at a very Very Rare drop rate. Slowly introduce them into the game. Sure seed them in the beginning, But then drop the rates so that someone will get excited to want to buy it. OMG I just got a cardi Gold box... These things are Crazy Rare.. they will either put it on Exchange, OR they themselves will open it, regardless A key is getting bought....

Just my Two... Very very long cents..

The danger is fun. It turns boring activities into thrilling ones. Also, The danger prevents people from exploring certain types of content and rewards those who do. The danger keeps the industry working and so on.

No death penalty = No danger.

Really?

Because when I'm riding on the street I don't pull wheelies and stoppies for no reason. I still find riding fun without danger.

I also find World of Warcraft fun with a few friends when we just blaze through dungeons after we blazed.

here we go with the analogies of Riding a rice burner and playing a game.

I own a GTO Judge, Sure it's fun to drive around and have everyone look at you. But it's even more fun to take the bitch out to a track or the lowly traveled road and burn it up against another driver seeing who wins. The Risk of flipping my judge, loosing control from a blown out tire at top speeds, having the engine blow out and catch fire, or in the worst case scenario trying tou get away with Motorolla chasing you (some will get that, Some won't)

In games I can either play your cookie cut MMO's that let me run around PVE, PVP with no risk and no danger, no true rush from the " Oh shit! That dude Fucked me up and almost made me loose my shit" or... Damn I died, eh :: Waits for 10 seconds to pass and presses respawn:: and go on blandly running dungeons again either Solo or if I suck with a group because the big bad monster might whoop my ass. Real gamers Want Risk vs Reward, We want to feel like we achieved something, we busted our asses Risked our shit and knew if we failed, which is not an option, that we goto pay more attention next time, study our opponents or mob (without looking at a Wiki or YOUTUBE video on how to succeed)  we figure it out on our own, we take the risks and the challenge openly, throwing fate into the wind, If we win we get epic items, if we fail we get the challenge of having to reclaim our stuff either before someone else grabs it, or it vanishes. As much as I like the Rush of racing my vehicle. I also like the rush of a game I am playing. I personally don't like games that have no risk, theres no challenge. In PVP I know I just respawn and face a different opponent, in Real PVP I know that I better kill that dude/dudette or just like Life, If I die, well I just lost my shit. Without a challenge you are not truley playing a game, you are just going through the motions of a game. Some people like not having to have a risk, Just like some people like living in a free country without the urge to defend it's freedoms. They know well that theres some one else that will defend it for them and just leech off of society ranting and raving because of the first amendment not truley understanding the loss that occured to grant them that freedom. If everyone just went through the motions think where we would be today, and before anyone goess off about it, No I didn't Serve, not that I did not want to, I just was not accepted due to issues I had, But that does not mean I do not know the risk my friends in service take to give me the ability to play these games, rant and rave and troll the internet with freedom.

If you do not like games with a challenge or a penalty if you die, IT is and I say this with pissing off the community the fact that you can not survive the challenge offered to you. You are one of the gamers that want to live in a world where there is no risk, is no challenge, just a cookie cut life knowing if all fails, Well you know you have that security blanket to hug to keep the monsters that players and more difficult AI/NPC's offer, away.

Rant over... For now..

ummm So... Why isn't this in the Tor thread since it's Kinda about TOR.. Do ya see, I say do ya see what I'm talkin about boy? Besides It's the hater and Fanboy community that push PR for a game. Not one or the other. More people wind up checking out a game due to its contreversy, they want to see if it's as bad, or as good as people say it is. They will base there information about that. Just look at WOW for example you have an equal amount of people bashing it (and still play it............) and you have it's fan base that thinks it's the greatest invention since the planet Earth.... Both Sides Promote the game one way or the other through bad publcity and good publicity, Heres another example Movie wise, Look at how popular Twilight is, Now look away, now look at it again, now look away, now look back WOAH! It's female fanbase just quadrupled within that second.. It's male hate fanbase did the same, the movie, Gets the most immense PR for it. Another one, AVATAR... Reviewers originally panned the movie expect for it's visual effects. The Sci-Fi fanbase Blew it up! Everyone went to see that MotherFucker, wether because it was talked about by friends, made a promo on Bones, or because they wanted to see it's awesome 3D affects. In the end It's PR that people made that wound of making these things successfull. The same vs Old Star wars (which was better :P) Vs new star wars. It's younger fan base Promoted it, it's older fan base Panned it. Either way people went to see it, old and young.

Thats all for my rant today :P

I'm pretty sure you guys don't have thanksgiving lol, But alot of sites that are international tend to have Black Friday deals. There is also Cyber Monday coming up. I would just browse around and see what deals you can find today and tomorrow, as well as the monday coming up when Cyber Monday kicks off. Those are your best bet for the season coming up. These next couple of days are the kick off to the holiday season and the best deals are between friday and monday. Well Thursday now if your in the states :/ I goto be at work at 9 tonight to get ready for war lol.

You do understand that not everyone has the physical tools required to do the things you mention correct? And oddly enough, in your attempt at sarcasm, you yourself come off as somewhat elitist. And how in the end does it effect you either way? To each his own. Harcore, Carebear, whatever makes the gamer happy in the end is all that matters. Do I want my toon wiped each time I die? No. Do I want to be bored to tears playing an MMO any 6 year old can play to end game in 2 months? No.

And trust me, I understand risk/reward. I get the rush thing. I do. But how one goes about getting it matters not to me. I spent 20 years in Army Special Ops, and have paid for it. My body is wrecked, my soul is darker, and my mind is tired. I have seen far to much, done far to much. Now I sit at my PC, with bits of metal in my spine that can't be removed, just trying to have some fun. So, your go ride or do something real instead of getting your rush in a game idea holds no water for me, and plenty of people like me. Not everyone is an athlete. Not everyone can do the things you do, or I have done. For many different reasons. That doesn't mean some people don't want to push themselves, in whatever way they can. Challenge is, challenge. Regardless of where we find it. And not all of us want our hands held in a game to the point where there is none.

Sorry for the rant, but the if you want real challenge hit yourself or do something in the real world doesn't and can't apply to everyone. Such as myself. The body is ruined. I do my best to simply live through the discomfort, and find fun and challenge where I still can.

Before I start my Tirade, All I goto say straight off the bat... if its true, Thank you for the Service to this country and help Keeping it safe. That is what a True man, an Elitist does. Not playing on a bike or an mmo.

I play Eve-Online for exactly the same reason. Risk, I go red/black name (back in the day before the game took a shit) In Conquer online, why to piss people off and challenge them to come at me, If I failed they had a chance to get my gear, if I won.. Well Sorry I just stole your XP :P. NONE of my friends who I have brought to eve mostly trying to get them off the WoW Train have stayed with eve. They wandered into low sec and one even wandered into 0.0 lol. ALL died and lost there shit. They were heated at the game and quit it right on that spot. Calling the Game B.S. It's no fair that a game has that much risk to it. "Real games, Real MMO's shouldn't make you loose your stuff. Look how awesome wow is. If I die I respawn and go back to fighting the dude that nuked me" I was like, hey I do the same thing in Eve, and if I can't do it alone.. Well either I choose to wait till I skill up better ... OR.... I grab a few Corp mates and chase him all over new eden :P Alot of players who try eve for a decent amount of time either wind up as a miner, a mission runner, or a market player. But they are also the same group that complains there is no challenge to the game, just the same old things to run. A select few who want something more, a challenge, or eves version of a rush, become Pirates, start a corp and Dec others, or go into 0.0 join a corp and get involved in territorial wars, or at least they go into low-sec and try to secure a moon and build a Pos there.

If there is no challenge to a game after a while the game starts to get stale. If you want a game where you feel you need your hand held, you want as little risk as possible, you want to make sure somebody doesn't piss in your cheerios There is Always Maple Story for you. For those of us that want a challenge, that want to feel like we accomplished something, for those of us that want to go Damn, I'm glad I stocked up on extra pots and even gladder that I didn't have anyone run up on the Boss that appears every 30 mins, and thank God that asshole did not make me have to PK his ass and go hide and hope to hell no one Ganks me and takes my shit. We challenge makers to add a difficulty factor to the game, wether it be Death penalties, Gear risk, or grinding for resurection scrolls. Each to his own, But were not Elitists, Well some of us are when in the right element. But were Gamers, not casual Ones, But true ones, There is no point of playing a game unless there is risk involved. Remember back in the Days when Consoles gave you 3 lives or you were Screwed (not counting Contra and its Konami code :P ) even Tetris has risks if you don't strategize that game, even the slightest mistake is making you start all the way from the beginning.

Much to my knowledge That offer is Limit 1 per customer from what I was told last night while working. Unless Best Buy Corp changes that Ideal you will if your in the top 10 on line, only be able to get 1. As of last night 11 p.m. here in NY people were already camping out at a few of the Long Island locations.

Edit:  The other thing is, If they do decide to let people buy multiples of the LCD, You might deffinately get screwed if your not in like the top 5, Each BB location will have a maximum allocation of 10 units of the TV. I have not been informed if this deal will be made available online at all. But I know it's one of the Door Buster tickets we will hand out down the line before the store opens.

No rate limiting on business accounts only on standard subs. Besides its not just used for gaming and torrenting since unfortunetly my data is more scrutinized. But i run several severs and my families numerous other pcs and devices. Besides its cheaper then running a T1 line to my house only 230 a month for the net bill and no ports blocked unlike when i had thevregular fios. But no i nor my fam nor friends have yet to dent it but we try lol. The one downside is i have recieved calls from vz over bandwidth abuse to which i told them to piss off i have a business account and its unlimited data but they still threatened to end the account if i abused the line lol. Apparently downloading multiple games, running three servers, three 360's and several servers and tablets is a form of abuse they bitched cause i did about 375 gb worth of traffic the first day i switched to the higher end speed and business account

Not even interested in Getting TOR, But I am kinda Itching to see what my Verizon Fios 150MB/35MB connection would download at :P BTW New York USA for Location :)   Fiber Optic The only way to connect lol, can't believe back in the day I had a 28.8KB connection :P BTW Tech heads, found a Reciept for a Sony CRX I purchased back in 2000, 105 bucks, to think I can get a DVD-RW with Lightscribe now for 19 bucks is amusing at the least

I Truly understand where he is coming from tho with a cap on download rate. When I lived in Mesa, AZ I had Cox cable 20 down 7 up no cap. When I moved 3 blocks over Only option was to get sat for internet and There Rates are redic. Was gonna cost like 70 a month for a 1 mb down 368kb up and was capped at if I remember 2 gigs a month or you had to pay like 5-10 bucks per additional gig. I said Screw it and just lived without net, did what I had to do at the library. Couldn't get DSL or Cable Because Cable didn't run to the apt complex because they had a contract with DirecTv and DSL didn't run to the complex because of how old the lines were. So now I'm back in NY and man I love Fios lol

Well i do more then just gaming and torrenting i run servers and multiple units in my house so yeah the extra bandwidth is great and the speed to i tend to hog alot of bandwidth so the fiber optics help greatly besides its cheaper then the t1 i was gonna have installed

Thats Why I love Verizon FIOS <3  150 MB down 35 MB up  Unlimited Data :) Games can be as big as they want and I'll play em all ^^  BTW Thats in a Real Major City Called New York I pay 199 + tax a month for my connection :)

Just Can't remember who makes my PSU and to lazy to go under my desk and open the bitch up to check. But this PC has ran everything without a problem. Tho it's a little outdated not an i7 or a Phenom II x6 Black Editon. But either upgrade of the cpu would force me to change the Board... and possibly the GPU if I went AMD

TQ Digitals Conquer Online. Game was awesome when it first came out, Then the Fucked it up by giving the ability to buy everything in the game you need practically Al a carte... I mean sure they used to have limited item store for like Dragon Balls and stuff. But it wasn't as bad as it is today. You used to have to hunt your ass off to find +1 items to level your Gear. Now you can just Buy what you want and goto +12 easily within a few days.

I just hope the World of Darkness MMO is better then the piece of shit Third Edition series books that took what was WoD and dropped a bomb on it. Tho they have promised to go back to there roots. Only time will tell. I been playing WoD for 16 years now and still loving it. Just harder to find a good group of people and fun ST's these days. Went from doing pen and paper to playing it on AOL in chronicles using the ever so fun dice rolling command :P
