It's always going to be a controversial subject. We value freedom of choice and individualism in our cultures, so anybody can wear what they like. However, at these events yes provocatively dressed women will always get attention, and that is just the way it is because males are like that. 

However, women may also be to blame because they dress as they do knowingly, unless they are so naive that they cannot comprehend the fact that they will get all this "unwanted attention". The problem with being objectified as well is the women then get treated just like that, objects. No longer people, they are simply perceived as an object of lust and desire, which is incredibly pathetic.

All in all, yes women may complain that they can't dress how they like without attracting attention, if they dress how they do to feel attractive and good about themselves its kind of a no brainer what attention they want. Both genders are at fault, and the shallowness of it all is absolutely pathetic regardless.

FFXIV 1.0 was designed entirely for the PC in mind first, and then it was to be ported to the PS3.  Even with 2.0 that's still the case.  You'll get that moment soon enough to see how well it sells on PS3.  Thus far there have been somwhere between 700k-750k copies sold on PC.

Play the game and you will see that it's really not suited to be played with a keyboard at all but with a console gamepad.

Doesn't matter either way. Both PS3 and PC users will be playing on the same servers in ARR. Everyones happy.

I went back to LOTRO and so far I'm loving it. It has a more hardcore feel to it than other modern MMO's I think. I'm not too sure I like where its going in terms of making it easier. Most people praise the loot system but I think it makes things too convenient. Riders of Rohan looks fantastic though and I can't wait to finally get to that part of the game after so many years wondering whats beyond Moria. 

I am surprised LOTRO doesn't get much love on this site. It deserves a lot more credit than it is given.

Even if you didn’t hit a mob first as long as you hit it once you’ll get quest credit. They have the same system in RiFT and it’s routinely abused by people hitting you’re mob once then leaving you to do all the work and kill it while they get credit.

Funny because it's also used in GW2 and encourages a lot of interaction in overland content.  I round the bend and see someone fighting mobs and start laying into them and help them out.  If there is a local event I'll stay and help them through that too.

So what if someone does a drive by and only does 300 damage?  For one it's more damage than nothing and for another we're all on the same team so why wouldn't I want that person to get some xp and loot?  I lose nothing by their drive by.

Don't blame selfish anti-social community behavior on a good game mechanic that promotes more social play.  It's not going to fix that.  Hopefully over time the LotRO community opens up and becomes a little more friendly.  They could take a lesson from the in game communities in both rift and GW2.

edit: For once Turbine is actually improving the quality of their game and that should be encouraged and complimented.

dont know how you think lotro community is poor but i guess you must have come across a few anti social types..but i have never seen any bad  chat on laurelin server or abuse of any kind..thats not to say it does'nt happen but i find the community one of the kindest most helpful in all mmo's that i have played.

Brandywine GLFF is a cess pool.  Not as bad as WoW trade or Rift pre-SL 1-50, but bad enough.

I've not noticed any bad community on Brandywine, Snowbourne is a different story.
