LOL the expansion is an utter joke,not sure if these sites actually played the game or are paid sponsors.

The expansion had ONLY one starter zone after that the game reverts back to the zones ,everyone has already played.It is not until almost end level 55 that you get a bit of new content and that content is strictly raid content.The mesh used in the Xpac are used over and over,very little effort was put into this expansion,they might fool dummies ,but i know what i am looking at.SEVERAL areas in the entire game look forgotten or unfinished,witch is why i say forgotten,or they just don't care.

The 2 new classes they added were extremely cheap,not thought out whatsoever.They did not have the elites done and nicely came up with an excuse that they wanted to make sure they did them right  ..LMAO.So while you were making this expansion did you not have time to make sure it was done right?or better yet,do they not understand how their own game works to make sure it is done right.

As a matter of fact the ELITES pre expansion are a total joke,again not thought out well at all.Instead of having the feel of an ELITE ability they were at most times weaker than your normal abilities or spells,witch his why i say they were not thought out at all.Every spell and ability is used over and over across the classes,they are not very creative at all.

Because they are so inept in planning out their moves ahead of time,they chose to eliminate your choices on sub class.So certain subs cannot be used by the new Elvens,because they have no clue how to design a game properly.

Yes i am VERY knowledgeable on the entire game ,i played it a lot.The entire game is a copy of wow leveling,FFXI sub class but their implementation of everything is a real joke,they have no clue how to properly implement a sub class .

It is not a "Great GAME" but it does have a cool customization system for gear.YES the Cash shop is the MAJOR fault here,They have not left one area of the game alone,the entire game is cash shop ridden,that is a real lame design to try and rape your player base that badly.

The game is so much about the money aspect that bugs are put in the back burner,but i guarantee the cash shop is advertised non stop,they will make sure that CS is ALWAYS in working order.You can name ANYTHING in the game and yes it will be attached to the item mall.Most people accept non sequential things from item mall,not the case,as a matter of fact PVP is directly related to money spent,again VERY L:AME design.

The MAJOR flaw with the game is that Frogster who is "suppose" to be in charge of the NA version,is nothing more than a messenger,NOTHING gets fixed w/o first consulting the Taiwan developer.Hoping that Frogster passes on your complaints or fixes is like pulling teeth,they try harder to dis credit you than to fix the problems.

As for design and content it is a real cheap version of WOW.All you do the entire game is quest to level up,that is it that is all,ABSOLUTELY nothing else.When you run out of quests you do dailies again super cheap super boring.Night hours the servers are completely dead,even at peak hours there is not many players,i would say the game is lucky to survive,hence why they push the item mall so much.

Just on the basis of how they operate the Item mall and their lack of management ,i would not touch this game.I would say Frogster will be out of the mix whenever their contract is up,if this game survives.

Wow i see some real false accusations of EQ2,i know i played it a lot and played over 5-7 thousand quests over several players.

To start i never once had a quest that was broken.not sure where that came from.As for grouped mobs,there is tons of stuff you can,you are no more limited than any other game.As far as comb at in general you will never come close to touching the complexity and well thought combat of FFXI,but EQ2 does as well as any other game.

I am trying to figure where some of this false negativity comes from,i can only assume ,some quests people don't understand and write it off as broken,because there is some that are hard to figure out,that is a good thing.The ONE flaw i don't like about combat is that i do not believe in multiple mobs period,i believe in FFXI's group versus one hard mob that is impossible to take on solo.I also do not like the HATE metre in EQ2,i feel it is not done right,players should not be body pulling that is ridiculous,again FFXI knows how to do it right.

There are quite a few map glitches,and mobs often aggro through walls,it is all a part of older tech that happened a lot in games from just before that era,so i figure the game is still using the EQ1 engine but revamped to handle better graphics.

EQ2 over all is a VERY good game,most of the things you see in other games are direct copies from EQ/EQ2,there is a ton of starting cities,lots of classes,there is basically a TON of content in EQ2.

SOE aside from what you are lead to believe from haters,actually listens to the player base TOO much,that has forced EQ2 to be watered down a bit,but at this point it won't matter,the player base is smallish and since it is an older game,will not be moving forward,instead it will be in survival mode until SOE makes it's predecessor.

Perhaps it is Smedley the now president of SOE games division in NA,that is holding SOE back,after all EQ was his creation,so i believe his ego is perhaps in the way of letting this game go and possibly improving on VG or a new MMORPG.EQ/EQ2 was the greatest game for it's time,but that time is over.

Yeah, I just said 2mil cause that's when I would be surprised. If it's as good as it looks, I could easily see it getting 1mil. 500k if it's not nearly as good as it looks, but still ok.

I would say it could grab 1 mil off it's name alone but less than 100k on it's looks,probably less than that on it's looks.It might be a large game ,that i don't know but on looks,it is worse than WOW and that is not good.

Star Trek another big game,does not look so hot either but may offer a better game inside,have to wait and see.FXIV will be much the better looking game and no doubt a large game,how good the game is inside is another waiting game.

Global Agenda is imo not a rpg at all,it is a cheap version FPS trying to rival Unreal Tournament,I highly doubt GA is neither big or will gather many subs.

ALLODS is a much talked about game but is F2P ,so i suggest ,to not support that LIE that is F2P because NOTHING is free in this world.

Just look on this site for the new upcoming/hyped games,the main page has it all listed.

Usually if a game is GLOBALLY hyped to be the "NEXT" big game,it will have the worst case of botting and RMT,they are looking to cash in on such games.So far FFXIV claims they have the RMT taken care of before release,so it may [we hope] to be the next big game that remains playable to it's design and not ruined by RMT.This is the VERY first time i have ever heard of a developer taking a stance against RMT before release,have to wait and see if holds true.

You cannot compare the mentality of gaming from back in the EQ days with now a days kids roaming around in games.

Back in those days it was VERY few who had high speed internet and/or could afford it,so it was usually the more mature minded people playing.

There was no care about PVP or looking beyond to end game and again worrying about PVP,people joined for the excitement of exploring the game and what it had to offer.The pvp minded people were playing things like Doom and Wolfenstein,Quake,UT99 came out the same year,that is where PVP players were.

I think too many developers got the wrong impression about gaming and MMO's from the early days because ,there was not that many gamers in general.so a game like AO may have been a big hit if released the same time WOW was.

It is only the last few years that people are trying to dissect games into what works and what does not,this is all false reasoning,it is not the reason for failure or crying,the reason lies within the individual,imo most are not gamers,they are egotistical people looking for a platform to brag or show off.In the old days that is where PVP people went to show they were better/more skilled,PVE games like EQ were about the exact opposite,it did not matter what type of MMO it was as long as it was not PVP based.

EQ offered that GIANT world that left tons of room for non linear exploration,something PVP games lacked.

Its Ncsofts lack of security that should have prevented him getting my master account information.. how could I have prevented myself from getting hacked form THEIR end??

Actually there is TWO things here.

NCSOFT has a history of NOT controlling botting,witch is a hacking script,so in essence they cannot control hacking.

TWO..they were also unable to secure an anti hack program [not that NGUARD]  works,so they failed on both accounts.This makes them liable as they are NOT able to secure a safe environment for it's players.

They had over a year to secure their game,maybe the longest any game has ever had,[so they claim]I know they are lying,this shows not only have they not put out the effort on their side they are not capable of handling the problem.

A person on MMOPRPG claims he was just hired the other day by NCSOFT to work for their anti botting/rmt  efforts.Well this is jsut a little too late no?the problem "IF" they cared at all,should have been secured months before release and tested in BETA.

If NCSOFT was not able to handle the hacking AND botting issues they should have not released the game,after all that was the purpose of BETA...they made some nice PR claims that they were all about a POLISHED release..obviously they were full of crap.

In closing ,i feel sorry for you man,i would send them an email asking if they have made any steps to make sure this hacking does not take place with your account again,if they choose to ignore it,it will again show their lack of effort or concern.I would go one step further and report them to your CC company if they are not willing to  do anything about it,just tell your CC company that they have your identity and may even try to make a new CC using your identity,this is why NCSOFT MUST show some concern,since it will be THEIR game that it is used.

If Aion is the ONLY place your CC and information was used,then i would say that is THEIR lack of safety that is in fail,any other means would have caused them to use your CC for other means outside of the game.

I was happy to receive my beta key then find out the link that they clearly provide says does not exist,so i write Gala-Net off as a big time amateur publisher.I will not be looking at this game,not that it bothers me a big deal since it is F2P it cannot be anything but mediocre at best.

You miss the point,your analogy is not an accurate comparison.If you bought a car and modded it in some way that it allowed you to STEAL,then yes you would have your car confiscated,and may end up in court and may get some jail time.

Some mickey mouse law firm who actually thinks they can benefit some cash from this by getting hundreds of people to sign on,will do nothing more than spend their profits and force Microsoft to prove they have modded forth purpose to steal.

If someone modded a machine for the purpose of making it better for a handicap child,i am positive ,there would be no problem at all,but stealing is something,that should go one step further.If you utter a death threat,you are extremely liable,so if you have the INTENT to steal,you should also be held liable.I would say modding your machine ,proves pretty good intent to steal.

Does this not prove my point that players have turned great gaming into the most superficial reason to play and that is to speed level as fast as they can.This is why i don't play anymore,players haven't even used the Renkai and MB system for a very long time,they have totally tried to turn this game into another WOW ,and i do not like it.

I had my accounts open for awhile ,thinking i might return but i finally realized i will not come back this time.I saw the game going south way back in the TOAU expansion,it totally removed old leveling zones,i was losing interest in the game fast.

Is there anything better?No not really ,witch is why i cannot stay very long in any game right now.I really pray to god that FFXIV will return the magic of FFXI early days,but i somehow feel there is about a 20% chance of it happening.I felt that FFXI was a creation,something the developer WANTED to make,now i get the feeling FFXIV is catering to get more subscriptions,that can be a huge detriment to quality.

This persistent world may be true but it is done on the lowest scale possible,witch is why this genre still has tons of room to grow,IF the developers will put out the effort.

To be a TRUE persistent world,we would need aging and decay ,a destructible world.The technology is already there in PhysX engine and shown to us many years ago in the Red Faction game.This would true allow for an ever evolving world,but the effort would be huge as they would need to make tons of animations and models for each aspect.

I think what i could accept,is if a game gives us this little by little,allowing them over time to make new models and animations to allow the world to grow and change.Trying to make a world this interactive and complete a sort of Age of Empires type of world only better with the PhysX engine would take MANY years.After all if the support is there then they have our 15 bucks a month to play with and further develop the game,heck i would pay 20 bucks even,players were paying that years ago on the T.E.N gaming platform.

I think they also allow for realistic aging like players would get a lot smarter,so their crafting improves,their intelligence improves but  their dexterity and hand eye co ordination falls off a bit.We could have a marriage system and children/offspring[in case of animalistic models] that inherit abilities from their parents.all realistic stuff.This is all how a realistic persistent world SHOULD evolve as time goes by.

The longevity of such a system far outweighs,the present day one,because as of now,there really is nothing we change in a game besides our gear/levels and Auction house,that shows how far we are from having a real persistent world.

That means the project is under active development, with major systems still being worked on. The term "Beta" is actually mis used big time over the last few yeas,it has become a marketing GIMMICK to create hype and sales,nothing more.It creates a three ring circus of sites offering beta keys for registering ect ect.

Well since the game was out for 18 months before,i think they had PLENTY of time to control botting or not?After all that time they couldn't even secure the Nguard issues,so how much effort or care did they really show to the game and it's legit players? I would say NONE.

You say you do not want the game to be bot infested,well yes i agree,but i would say you are 18 months too late right?it already "IS" bot infested.

Do the google search Kinah is selling around 2-3 bucks a MILLION ,that is insane,i believe that is cheaper than SRO gold was,that tells me and SHOULD tell anyone the economy is already broken and the game is FLOODED with RMT kinah.Good luck on trying to fix that now,much TOO late,if they really cared,they would have taken care of this issue BEFORE release.

You know what that 18 months of Beta actually was?They were still making the maps and the game,it was not Beta at all,they obviously by the release,they did NOTHING to clean up their game,it was released just as L2 was,BOT city.

I just want to point out,that i am glad you are posting on trying to clean up botting and making peopel aware of it,because it it something that REALLY bothers me,like you wouldn't believe.RMT botting ruins a game like you cannot believe,it IMO makes the game trash,and from now on ,i refuse to WAIT for games to clean up their act,i expect it RIGHT away on release.Square Enix "claims" they are on top of RMT from day 1 for their release of FFXIV,we will have to wait and see,I'll believe it when i see it.The easiest way to tell if the developer is lying...do the google look for yourself at all the sites selling Kinah or gold or whatever game currency is out there.

Well you should not stick up for a game if it "claims" to be in beta.Beta is not some brand new project that is still in creation,Beta is a FINISHED product that may need tweaks or fixes,this sounds more like INCOMPLETE witch would barely be Alpha stage.

This alone means they should be refunding,because they outright lied if they claim this is the beta product and nothing is finished.When you are CREATING the game ,that is the creation stage that is well before Alpha,that is when you are still making things work,like the UI ect ect,still designing the maps,the textures ect ect.When you are in that phase you don't tell people to buy your BETA product,because that sends out false hope [lies] that you HAVE a working product that WILL be playable,after all that is the purpose of you buying the game,to play a decently FINISHED game.

There is not a single game ever made outside of some console games,that does receive patches and updates,it is to be expected,but when things are missing,that is not a bug or exploit,that is NOT finished.As i said a NON finished product is NOT BETA.

BETA is very simply the TESTING stage,to see if the finished product has bugs /flaws/exploits/stability issues.You of course DO NOT test something that is not there,because how could you test something that is not there? lol,impossible.

The problem for me is i cannot take PVP seriously in a RPG,it is just too weak and NEVER thought out to be skillful or constructive.

For myself UT99 is the ultimate PVP,because it covers EVERYTHING possible to make it so.

Map design,map control,map positioning all huge factors,this  alone is totally left out of RPG's ,so that sets them on the path of fail right out of the gate.

I like the fact that a PVP game like UT99 offers the armour that players try to get to for that added defense,it creates that MAP control or map movement aspect.Then again map design allows for Z-Axis fighting,something Aion tries to mimmick by use of flying ,but since the maps are not designed to make it skillful both in offense and defense it is a fail.You need all the ranged weapons longrange/mid range/melee then you need that ONE aspect to allow you the chance to kill a fully armoured player [the infamous BIO gun].Sure it is a slow weapon and low accuracy but in the hands of a skilled player can be deadly ,it offers more choice to a skillful game.

Where RPG's fail is they actually think they can create weapons/abilities/spells to operate the same in a PVE environment the same as they can in a PVP set up,there is no way,it is a totally different game.There is imo literally zero thought put into PVP in our RPG's ,it was only something they started to cater more to try and get more subscriptions.

RPG's have heal pots and to make it even more watered down ,most games have players using ADD-ONS that auto pot for them ,it really makes PVP a joke .Then in a REAL PVP game like UT 99 you have to actually move to the heal pots and they need to be spawned and fought for by the players,they are not permanently there,the way heal pots are unlimited use and of course your heal pots follow you where ever you go in RPG's lmao,not too skillful at all.

It is simple,many want to see what they are missing out on,and many want to see if they are the best,if you have something better they want it lol.

I lost track at how many times,noobs have to ask the entire server,what build they should have or what class they should play,people should just play their own game,i assume that is why they spent their money on it.

There is a third reason why people do checks and that is to see if someone has been cheating,but usually it is just nosey people,that can't think for themselves,so they want to copy everyone else.

Personally i don't care if someone checks my stuff,but i don't want to hear any response unless it is constructive.I often would be out farming using a weird gear setup,then get a party invite.Then right away some idiot has to start telling me ,i can't use that gear to tank or DPS  or what ever.Then you know they are sending PM's to the others,because all of a sudden the others start checking you.What i loved to do in those situations was to wait until the last minute before swapping my gear to piss them off :D,then they look like the idiot for opening their mouth premature.

Sometimes i would have a class combo like sam/whm in FFXI  for farming,when i joined the group,before i even get a chance to change my sub class,i start getting ass hats telling me i can't be a sam/whm lol.So i can see your concern,too often people want to open their mouths ,like they are mr.know it all and everyone else is a dummy.

I used to love COD ,but in trying too hard to create new ideas ,they weakened the game badly,to where i have no interest in it any more.

I guess WOW does the same thing,it weakens the gaming experience,something i don't like,i like to be challenged,i don't much like scripted missions that have no replayability ,or in WOW's case you MUST use quests to replay a new player,but boring 101 is not good.

If i was a MMORPG developer,i would not try to copy too much from a first person shooter or a war game,for the simple fact they are designed to be 20-40 hours of game play PVE and ALL PVP,for the multiplayer.It is pretty hard to dwelve into a PVE role in a MMORPG if someone is constantly badgering you to PVP,it just does not work.

MMORPGS take more time to develop ,so they need to last beyond that 50 bucks you pay for the box.For a game like WOW because it is so superficial,quest+level>>end game PVP,you could probably create some scripted content,after all WOW has a million instances,why not turn them into something that can be fun and show off the developers skills/talents.However in case of WOW that would be stretching it,i do not think they could come close to creating any meaningful missions like you would see in CODMW2,not even close.

Imagine the content however?i would have to say "WOW",imagine those 500 instances were now 500 meaningful missions ,similar to COD?that game then would truly be full of content,but as is,you get what you pay for...umm well i guess they paid a lot for WOW,too bad you can't see it in the result LMAO.

I want to try this game,but Gpotato has a botched identity recovery system.

What is wrong with combat?So you know i like slowish/realistic combat that allows for thinking.I also like to see realistic damage formulas like bigger slower weapons doing more damage than puny little daggers,that part gets me miffed.

I find it hard to believe anyone can really mess up combat too bad,there has not been much diversity in the area amongst games.Example TCOS did a good botch job creating a boring useless rotating hotbar that i would have to rearrange every time i got a new spell or ability,but not often do i see combat messed up beyond hope.Atlantica had a too fast not so well controlled combat system that played too much like a console game,that i did not like.

Sorry but dying and weapon customization was the ONE thing ROM did very well,already done.The weapon stat customization is kind of cool in ROM it has some real thought to it,however that is about all i liked in the game :(.

Gliding.that belongs with flying ,something that is a CHEAP niche to attract subs,it's usefulness is almost null,especially when it is most wanted ,they don't allow it lol.I am sure they looked at their Korean competition in PW and decided they needed flying to make any sales.

Aeria games already had the ability to warp into opponents territory as did RF online,so ya another copy.

Fluid combat?is that not subjective to each their own opinion?As far as great effects,FFXI has great effects in their game and that is with ALL low poly graphics.That is one area i commend Square on,if ANY other developer tried to make a game equal to FFXI for the console and with those graphics,NOBODY else would pull it off.I can honestly say it would be VERY hard rto find any effects in Aion that better FFXI,i would say they are on even terms.However FFXIV is using an engine that favors comparison to Aion and will blow the doors off Aion for not only everything graphics wise but DETAIL.

As far as inventing game mechanics lol,yep FFXI has several,and they are useful not gimmicks like flying.To save another one my 10 paragraph posts i will tell you one...LANGUAGE translator,VERY useful.Ok maybe 2 SUB CLASS system.BTW FFXIV will most likely invent a few new ideas once again,that is what Square does,they are very creative,just the fact that they are removing LEVELS is a bold step,none of the decent sized games have tried that.

Square Enix is the ONLY developer after EQ that actually created a decent game with decent graphics and made it their OWN idea,not a copy.Sure games like EVE are sort of their own niche,but a VERY cheap release that game was,none of the mechanics were up to standards,pretty much a spreadsheet game.

This is what I saw when I played the trial (not my picture but it's the best example) and you have this great landscape but such horrible character design. It put me off going any further throughout the game because if I can't like my character then I wont care about the exploring the world with him and his advancement.

I don't see anything wrong with it either.

I hope the OP is not hoping for NCSOFT/Asian gothic look a likes?I don't need all my armour to be gothic looking full of spikes,that rounded look is fine for me,it looks much more realistic.

I think a game should have variety of looks,unless they want us to think the exact same armoursmith or weaponsmith made every single piece of gear in the game lol.There should a distinct difference ,that makes it look like Elvens made some gear,Dwarves other and so on and so forth.

Since you need at least 5 minutes per to make sure you are banning legit,that is 27kx5 ...hmm 135k minutes how many hours of man time is that?well thanx to the microsoft calculator it is 2250 hours.24 hours a day IF anyone actually spent 24/7 on this ,more like maybe 4-6 hours a day,anyhow that is 93 days.

I would have to say they are doing a nice CON job here and are out right lying.It would REALISTICALLY take them about 150 days to ban that many players that is at 16 hours a day of investigating,then pulling up accounts to actually ban them.5 people working on the bans IF they have 5 qualified people at witch they work 8 hours a day and IF they work EVERY single minute of that day,witch again will never happen that would still take those 5 about 2 months each.

Do i believe they are paying 5 people to investigate?nope.i would say more like 2-3,anymore and they are only part timers doing other things besides actual investigating.Heck it is even possible they are all part timers on this,hard to believe they actually have hired people to look after botting,since they have NEVER shown ANY interest in this field over the past 10 years.I would say the more realistic side,is that they dedicated a few people from their regular jobs to do maybe 3-4 hours a day investigating.That would mean a realisitic 3-5 months to investigate 27k.

No matter how i look at it from ANY approach,it is quite clear to me that they are lying.All of this ONLY mentions ACTUAL bans,imagine how many accounts they would have to actually investigate,especially when cross referencing RMT trading,your looking at probably 5x that.That would be more like half a year easy to fully investigate that many accounts,it is just an unrealistic  number to believe them at all.

Of course you can always check for yourself and see if all the Kinah selling sites are now out of Kinah and /or are shut down.I am pretty sure you will find that EVERY single one has been untouched,unphased.Also the price to buy Kinah would also rise drastically if that much Kinah was removed from the game.

Just did a google for buy Kinah and no mention on over ten that i checked of any Kinah problems ,as a matter of fact at less than 5 bucks a mil i would say the game is literally FLOODED with RMT kinah.
