No, they really can't, however ... we've already had the Progression server(s) which had to be joined due to low populations. Why would they expend resources for something that isn't (as much as a vocal few crow about it) what people play? |

Note on one of the new item coming with Dragons of Norrath expansion in February: Guild 'Looking for Members' Tool - Allows guilds to recruit by placing persistent “ads” on bulletin boards, search for player characters who match guild criteria and send in-game emails to those members. |

And beyond all of that, SWG has just been added to the All Access Subscription for anyone wanting to play Everquest, Everquest 2, Planetside and Star Wars Galaxies as well as Tanarus and the other small games. |

First, you don't like fantasy games. Okay, so go play something else and don't even comment on this game. You already know that Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy based game. All the "mythos" that you espouse are in a completely different game world. More than likely, you simply read the RA Salvatore novels and drool whenever someone says 'drow' or Drizzt. Sorry, there's plenty more to these worlds than dark elves. Although there are rumors of some dark elves in Xen'drik somewhere. The Underdark? Have you looked into Neverwinter Nights? Nice game and the Hordes of the Underdark expansion (also available in the Neverwinter Nights Platinum edition) should give you plenty to explore in the dark depths under the Forgotten Realms. Now, bear in mind, it's still Dungeons and Dragons and therefore IS fantasy based ... |

The free download offer ended some time ago and included the original game and the first 2 expansions. My only suggestion would be to purchase the Platinum edition, which contains the last seven expansions, except for the very last and most recent one, Omens of War.

It may not be $15 per month, but the All Access subscription DOES let you play all 3 of the "big" games, Everquest, Everquest 2, and Planetside for much less than subscribing to all three individually. As always, ymmv. |

While there may be lore in-game in EQ2 describing some of what happened, I doubt that there will be any lore regarding it in Everquest. Why? ... it's some hundreds of years later. |

It's been stated many times by Sony that they will NOT be closing Everquest when Everquest 2 appears on the market. There are still expansions that they are working on, from what I've heard, and no shortage of players. I dont forsee the end of EQ for quite a while yet. We've had 5 years+ now ... no reason it can't go several more at least. |
