2 different situations. if you had any idea how easy and quick it was to fix, you wouldnt be saying that. all you had to do was insert your windows xp boot cd and it would fix it basically automatically. IF someone cannot do THAT, they are a moron. enough said. (and if they dont have thiers, that is just as stupid)

a game called "perfect world" which is in beta, atm. it probably has the most character customization i have seen in any game (comparable to SWG). has English players, some dont speak in but thats to be expected. grind isnt harsh but it is there, and it has some cool classes. it is in open beta and free to play for the moment.  www.perfectworld.com.my/

Only thing possible (the whole boot.ini was missing) was to reinstall Windows. Now LUCKILY none of my work files were damaged. But i had to reinstall every one of programs again - this alone took a week of work.

Now most registered programs I work with cost 2000$ and more , some of them do not let you reinstall them - you actually need to call support and ask for activation, explain what happened...

It is a lot of headiche , and time loss ... not to say that you need to reconfigure every program again...

All this can set working person way back, and cost him a lot of money even if he is very PC savy.

 

So please do not say people are whining

 

 

 

you are incorrect...you can replace the boot.ini without reinstalling windows. i did it myself.

sounds like an apology to me. i was affected by this bug, and he is right...it is a very quick and easy fix. if someone is unable to fix it, they shouldnt be using a computer in the first place.

Problem is resolved in all the content patches at this time.  Only people who got the stuff yesterday are affected (I was) took me all of 5 minutes and 30 seconds to boot my system from the XP CD and replace my boot.ini from the backup in c:\windows\pss

took me two minutes to use system restore to restore it to dec. 4th

hah, that's nothing compared to SOE! When I tried to cancel my EQ2 sub, the website kept asking me a password reminder answer (my fav country or sg.). I am definitely sure I never gave that info, so it was truly cheating-like from SOE...

 

Eventually I had to call them (US number, of course...) and finally I managed to cancel. But up to today I still can't even change my details online, because it won't let me do anything w/o that mysterious "favourite country", that I never gave.

Ah, and not to forget, EVE online was charged for 3 more months after my cancellation was requested, so pay attention to that when you'll be cancelling - just an advice!

you HAVE to give them that info, they ask you for a secret question when you sign up...its for your protection...RETARD.

obviously, you havent played or read anything about it in quite some time, the classes no longer work that way anymore...you immediatly start out as what you choose now (ranger, guardian, etc). the game has changed so much, maybe you should try it again before posting something like this, so you actually have some sort of basis to work on. the stuff you speak of, no longer exists.

i think she answered your questions pretty well.

seradon is highest population pve.

i dont see many psionicists around, quite a few of the other classes though.

also, it has improved substantially in playability from beta. i cant wait for the next game update.

the graphics suck.

1. Good Crafting System (Vanguard comes to mind )

2. It needs Soloability for "most" content (it does need group stuff too but i dont always get a lot of time to play and solo a lot)

3. Good Community is a must (helpful and nice, the opposite of WoW)

i currently play eve and am waiting for the trinity expansion, also waiting to check out Fallen Earth as it looks like it will be entertaining.

they said "first week in december", dont know if that will change.

i have never gotten the "creeps" from a game, i guess i dont understand.

you are not interacting any closer with them if you are standing right next to thier game character with yours or 5000m away. they are still just as far away sitting behind another computer, like you. i dont see how it makes it feel better to you, if your character is next to them or not. retarded imo.
