Would I play an MMO with those graphics? HELL NO! But look on the bright side, at least you got a ninja.

If you took the time to see the latest screenshots before judging you would have noticed that I have replaced the Player Models.

and then he would have realized it still looks like junk.

Lol what a silly question.....................if Viagra paid to display a banner, MMORPG.com will publish it.
The reason why you don't see Viagra ads and you usually see MMORPG ads instead, is because advertisers pay for space in websites which have a member base likely to buy their products.
Money is money, doesn't matter where it comes from.

not a silly question at all, there are plenty of other single player games out there, but you dont see them getting airtime here. especially whole front page type. must have been some big bucks.

just wondering since it is not in any way an mmo, nor does it even have multiplayer.

Stop destroying this genre.

Your killing me, your killing us.

Real gamers are becoming extinct because of these mega companies with the suits dictating how a game should be made.

2020, real gamers become extinct.

Like cold lemonade, we both got stomach aches.

Games companies like Blizzard are good for the genre and attract a lot of people. They might not take the genre the direction you and I would like, but that does not make those 10 million players any less of a gamer. Thinking so is just retarted and slightly elitist.

i joined three days before you!! so i am eliterererest. yeah...

Disclaimer: this is a joke (and its sad that i actually do have to put that)

should be ok, but he is right. just register a new trial account and try to be sure before you resub.

well, i got to level 47 and i never did, but that doesnt mean it doesnt happen. the level cap is 60 (if you have mines of moria). someone else that knows more will have to answer that for you...or you could just search it on google or something.

the game doesnt "end", you do a lot of quests that follow the story line of the movies (and books) and you sometimes work alongside the fellowship, though. (if you do the book quests) they are always adding new content (quests, etc.).

pretty much every other mmo.

Well SOE wouldn't pull the plug just because there is another SW game out there. Though Lucas might, not sure of the level of contractual control LA has.

You could break it down into a flowchart:

1. Does Lucas Arts have the control to shut down SWG just because they want to? Y/N?  If yes, it gets closed. If not go to number 2.

2. After TOR launches, does SWG maintain enough subs to be profitable: Y/N? If yes SWG stays open, if not it gets closed.

The only vagueness would come from just maybe SOE would love to have an excuse to shutdown SWG just because of all the bad press its generated for them over time.

Taking all that into account, I'd be surprised if SWG is open a year after TOR launches, if TOR is more than moderately successful.

This!

This is exactly how I see it going down. IF LA can pull the plug, it would probably be wise for them to do so. If they can't, it boils down to if SoE can still make $ on what is left of SWG players.

My gut tells me SoE will try to be stubborn though, even if there's nobody playing...they've never cared for the players they had after all, they've always been more interested in those they didn't have.

Will be interesting to see, that's for sure ;)

yeah, its sad. always worried about the the players they dont have, and not worried about keeping the ones they do/did have. that is why it is the way it is, right now. sad state of affairs. imo, i think it SHOULD be shut down, but that doesnt mean they will, lol. SOE is known to be a stubborn bunch.

right now, funcom is the only one i can think of, that has disapponted me enough to never buy another game from them.

if you are looking for something a little more in depth, vanguard has the best crafting system of any game that i know.

Just for clarification, it is TODD McFarlane, famous for the Spawn comic series. Seth McFarlane is the creater of Family Guy and American Dad.

my bad, i totally meant todd.

Well, if you're like me, you have no clue who these 3 people are or why you might care.

This link will help.

www.38studios.com/people/visionaries

But you still might not care.

Can they make games, or good MMORPG's? Who knows?  Get back to us in 4 or 5 years and we'll see.

Meanwhile, back to EVE.

seriously...you dont know who Todd Mcfarlane is? made spawn (comic and movie) you dont know who R.A. Salvatore is? wrote quite a few original book series, the majority of which are part of the forgotten realms universe. (baldur's gate, icewind dale, neverwinter nights?) Curt Schilling, he is some sports guy, and i dont do sports.

probably because mmorpg gets paid to.

Honestly, I'm not too turned off by how graphics are. Fluidity is the key really. Like when EQ was out and I could run it on me 350mhz Pentium back in the day, and it still ran OKAY. Compared to how when EQ2 first came out and the engine was not fluid even with my high end rig.

same here, if the game runs smoothly and is optimized graphically. animantions are fluid, no clipping, etcetera...

the graphics dont have to look super awesome...just run nicely (and i only think a few games have ever ran this way for me, and they were single player games).

assassin's creed

WH40k Dow2

those are the only two i could think of off the top of my head than ran smoothly/had very few bugs. (as in, not a drastic rise and fall of framerates, it remained steady)

sounds absolutely amazing, and finally something that no one has tried before.

 4.  RvRvR was a success in DAoC... WAR needed that, it doesn't have it... and let's face it, it got old fighting the same enemies over and over.  I'm sure there were good lore reasons not to do that, but they should have.

the thing is, it really isnt a lore thing. the way they went with it actually makes no sense. those factions never would have teamed up together, they would have been separate...they flippin hate each other...and there are even faction splits among the factions, lol. different gods they worshipped, etc. not only did they f up the lore side of it that way, they f'ed up the pvp, its the same reasons why my wife and i both quit, also.

They didn't go aganist the lore in game faction wise The empire/high elves and dwarfs do join forces regularly to fight large threats and the disorder forces do fight together although they normally have there own agenda's and end up backstabbing each other.

maybe, occasionally, they are not really friendly to each other though. it would have been a pairing out of need, not because they wanted to be allies.

Honestly I don't know why people VS the two. I'm both Console and PC. Sometimes I would rather respect somebody for being a gamer rather than being a fanboy to take side and defend.

this.
