I know but I never mess with the mods. I had Oblivion on the 360 and was happy with it.

Most people say the Mods improved the game alot adding challenging mobs, loot and more tweaks. Yeah Oblivion on the 360 is still fun but the PC version will be expanded for a very long time.

I own both since I enjoy sitting in my living room while playing SP games.

IN eve on any given day near 4,000 ships blow up due to 0.0 wars (6,000 on average total in all of EvE). the Dust players won't be bored.

I hear ya. I got sucked into the "mad dash" to level cap in WoW. After a while I got sick of raiding constantly and started looking elsewhere. I learned to just slow down and enjoy the journey in LotRO, but even at my slow pace I still hit end-game there and got bored of raiding and the MoM grind.

Now I'm taking my time and enjoying Ryzom and am really looking forward to other sandbox MMOs like Earthrise and MO.

EQ for me! and DAOC ...but I dunno if its the NEW MMO's or the way there designed but in WAR I raced crazy mad to end game...I think alot of people did its the way they designed the quest but I felt like I was constantly just running to red circles on my map no time to talk to no one!!!! .....and I am not usually like that. Also I played Anarchy Online off and on since release and still only have a 213 character.

Maybe its due to me being a older mmo gamer but I enjoy games that let me play my own way.

If I see a clear cut path to a "End game" I quickly lose interest. As an example I reactivated my Account in WoW when WotLK release, I went into the first area, picked up a quest and instantly got bored and left my sub to rot for Ryzom.

I like Options, I think more MMOs should drop this clear path to endgame. Certain games are trying to remedy this by letting you level through pvp or pve and for my experience with WAR so far it isnt much different.

IN a game like Ryzom I just hang out, I don;t need to rush because what I'm doing at that moment feels 100% natural to me. Same goes for Eve even though I know alot of players don't like the games setting or combat I find the game a breath of fresh air even after near two years.

What I would really like is for a game with freedom like Ryzom to also give me the content quality of a Endgame MMO. Like optional dungeons and pvp minigames but not make them madatory for everything, make them feel natural. A complete blend of old school sandbox and new school themepark. Give people options, let the game play feel natural and flow.

UO, AC1, and EVE all had or have superb communities, far better than any PVE or team PVP game I have ever played. What brings out lame communities IMO is PVP without RISK. Without risk, there can be no accountability for ones actions, and without accountability it's just a zest pool of trash.

Want to know why Eve is so popular? Because it has restricted pvp!!!!!

UO never had negative growth before trammel was released. And the argument wasn't about whether a PVP system was popular, it was about the community it brought, thus your argument is null.

Eve doesn't have restricted PVP, you can PVP anywhere but there is associated risk.

Yes, PVP in WOW is restricted yet it is widely considered one of the worst, if not the worst community in the MMO world. But wasn't your argument that UNRESTRICTED PVP killed communities?

EVE has restricted pvp, Sure it's not as hard coded as a game like WoW where you can't even attack anyone. But if you attack anyone without a WARdec or making someone red blinky to you, you will get blown to hell. Sounds like a restriction to me.

Also I know tons of people have never been blown up in near two years of playing Eve being in Empire space. You know what that is? It's a player having a choice! A choice of how risky his game play experience is. IN games like DF you don;t have that.

As far as immersion goes I disagree that pvp breaks immersion since I am a pvper and a sandbox fan i'm a bit bias.

Also WoW doesn;t have the worst community, that's just something the haters on this forum say. I;ve played many a F2p game that had worse, actually I've meet people in UO (Pre-Trammel) that were much bigger assholes than people in WoW.

I basically jumped into this thread to respond to a poster not the OP, I know its off topic and im sorry but I believe sandbox developers need to stop with the FFA grief fests. We need sandbox games with freedom for all playstyles similar to SWG and Ryzom and yes even EvE.

New PS3 slim + MGS4 & Infamous (maybe KZ2 also) = enough to hold me over until sony gets off their ass and makes more good exclusives.

Also reread my posts I never said PS3 had no games they just lack exclusives that I want to play. Ps3 has tons of games that are on the 360 also, problem with that is I have them on 360 already!  Think about it, If you had all the good games on 360 already and just had to look at PS3 exclusives as a reason to buy the console I'm sure many of you guys would think just like I do.

Breaking news: I have been talking about exclusives all this time, the list i mentioned before in this thread are all about exclusives. The Playstation 3 has A LOT more good exclusives than 2 games, many of which I mentioned already before in this thread.

CCP is releasing COSMOS in December. Its a Social networking program for players in EvE online and hopefully will connect players in other CCP MMOs like World of Darkness and Dust 514 when they release.

RoM is just a generic MMO while Atlantica is actually a breath of fresh air in the MMO genre.

Turn based combat in Atlantica> everything Rom has to offer.

Sorry but I hate WoW and as much as I would love to peg this game as a wowclone I can't.

This game is utter f2p crap, bad animation, shitty character models and a terrible game through and through.

With the limited Info we have right now I think it's best to just wait and see.

I have my 360 about 5 feet from my PC so I'll be able to mess with dust if they choose not to release a PC port.

All I know is that Eve online Is the best MMO on the market for me right now and a FPS stand alone game isn;t going to make me want to burn CCP at the stake.

I'm trying out my Tier 3 shaman on Badlands and beside a decent amount of scenarios poping the zones are virtually empty.

Kind of sucks that with so little servers this game cant seem to fill them.

I think it's safe to say that games like VG, SWG and DAoC have more subs than WAR right now.

takes like a day or so, just pick your targets wisely (basically kill other tech I frigs).
