This is not a WoW clone, don't try to play it like one.

Cataclysm - Putting new meaning to the phrase "riding the rails"

The extent that linear progression has been applied in Cataclysm feels to be a bit more so. You may (and you'd be reaching in my opinion) argue that Archeology was meant to take high level players back to Azeroth for exploration, etc. Blizzard seems to have spent more time revamping Azeroth and new instances, rather than replicating what they've done with Outland and Northrend. |

Cataclysm - Putting new meaning to the phrase "riding the rails"

To an extent you're correct. Quests to go to the next quest giver have always been in place, what might be missing is the amount of variety available in the expansion. For example, you'll notice being sent to different areas (and subsequent quest givers) as you progress through Icecrown. Icecrown is a good example. As you entered the area, you were definitely led to the next area. Once you got to a certain phase, your options opened a bit. However, if you wanted to follow a specific narrative, you were still led to the next character in line. |

Whoa ... 5 mins from report to action is far too slow I suppose. Please keep comments in line with the discussion. Thanks! |

3 Million in 24 hrs is impressive. Has Cataclysm released in China? |

Here's a link: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/category/155 You should find 'Developers Corner' listed on the left-hand pane (where you see: Mail, Cloud, the Recently Visited Threads list) under 'General Forums'. If you visit the page often, you can create a site favorite.
Hope this helps. |

You may have to go through a proxy to get onto the Korean server set. We have a few players in my guild from Australia and I believe that's what they did. Alternatively, you may be able to find a Korean guild on a US server; try searching Google. That said, if one of your goals is to limit play time you may want to check out the Parental Controls. You should be able to set time limits.
Good luck! |

Power leveling has been going on since WoW's release. I'm not particularly surprised to see players having reached 85 so quickly. If that's their definition of fun, then so be it. None of that detracts from my personal game play. I tend to do more exploring and actually follow quest lines. Imo, one of the better improvements since the last patch is the new quest writing. |

Any new game feature other than get to 85 then grind gear?

World of Warcraft: Curse of the Worgen Comic Series Announced
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/23/10 12:25:55 PM
Lol, I'm not sure why a company making money is sickening Blackthorn. As to the comic, I bought the first edition last week (digital copy). I'd be stretching a bit to say both the story and art work are fantastic, but they're both decently delivered. |
