It’s like one hand clapping ATM. I would tell you more, but I would have to pay CCP 99.00$ to do so. What the hell.

 

To CCP’s credit, the captain’s quarters on max setting are very impressive. When the project is complete it will add a new dimension to the game that is state of the art. It really is very well done.

 

ATM, however, they have left themselves open to people saying “is this it?"

Sadly nothing anyone has said so far is really selling it to me, if you know what I mean? I am downloading the trial though and I will fap about in the ship for a while before uninstalling the tripe and playing something entertaining.........like Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

So they have openly and blantly stated they plan to have players able to eventually see one another? Or is that just pilot assumptions and rumors? Cause it would be cool if you could dock your ship together with your buddies and then go have tea on his ship, or if you could have multiple avatars on your ship like a crew, Firefly anyone? Even better if you could dock thousands of ships together and make a large floating drifting floatilla city. Sorta like the Nosferatu have a floating floatilla city in the White Wolf's Mirrors: Infinite Macabre setting. 

So I haven't resubscribed to internet-spaceships-spreadsheets yet but I was wondering what the whole WIS thing brought?

Mainly if you dock at a station and get out and walk around do you see everyone else walking around? Or is it just a barren waste land with just you and your lonesome?

Also what is the point of walking around so far? Other than not being a spaceship anymore? Which is all nice and dandy but if you can't see other players and do anything worth while it just seems like a waste to me, of time and resources.

So like usual I am taking a break from WoW, I started again and got sick of it. I usually play on the persistent worlds of Neverwinter Nights 2 and that is pretty and full of camp fire / coffee shop RP, but after playing there for months you get to know the 64 regular characters and you wanna play with some new people, so I am looking for a game that:

Has decent graphics, at least not dated greatly, 3D

Has mouse movement, or WASD

A functional RP community or atleast a social community

Some PVP, I could care less about PvE as I usually just solo dungeon crawl and I could care less about instances

I'm really leaning forward to F2P atm

A extensive modification system, the main reason I stick with NWN2 is cause its DnD 3.5 and you can do so much

A player driven community would be nice

Player housing or guild housing or capturable housing/bases

^ all that appeals to me

This, I play NWN2 on persistent worlds, but I hear NWN1 is even better.

I just hope that the game uses all six cores of my cpu.........it'll be annoying if it doesn't

I plan on using my PC.....I'll try and use a gamepad, I wonder if its compatible with Nvidia's 3D Vision Glasses.......that might be fun with a gamepad......

Heck I saw a bulletin for a EEG headset on the university bulletin board, they were looking for testers lol, maybe I should try it out with the beta :D

So where can I get a open beta key? I'm currently dling the client from fileplanet and would like to try out the open beta......I really like all the information I've seen so far, on the site and fansites........I'll miss the Summoner and Dragoon class from XI but I think I could live with it.........any help?

Dial-up takes weeks to download 4 gigs, Oblivion is bigger, it would take a month. I know cause till three years ago I had dial-up.
