I'm so glad MO is releasing soon, look at this POLISH! [video]

Take a look at this video taken just yesterday and tell me [and be honest] how "ready" you true-believers really think Mortal Online is for official public launch? Oh boy. This just gets better and better all the time. Take a look ----> www.youtube.com/watch |

I like this persons videos because they just seem more honest and less fanboyish then all the rest shown
Anyways here is a good idea of what PvP looks like now in Mortal Online and as he says it is awkward, slow, and unresponsive |

Requiem: Best MMORPG since Dark Age of Camelot - And it's FREE TO PLAY!

Exactly. That's why I refrained from going on and on and on about all the reasons that I love this game. I just left the link in my post for people to check it out if they desire and to judge the game for itself. Nothing monetary to lose to try the game as it is totally free to play. To me, this game is a breath of fresh air in a very stale mmo market and I am enjoying the hell out of it. |

Requiem: Best MMORPG since Dark Age of Camelot - And it's FREE TO PLAY!
General Discussion « Requiem: Bloodymare 3/08/09 12:22:12 AM
Okay, I have to confess - I have been waiting a damn long time for an mmo where I had this much fun. And this game hit me like a golf club to the back of my head because I'd never even really heard of it until after just wasting $55 on Darkfall. I was hoping that Darkfall would live up to even 1/10th of its hype, and was very disappointed. Don't get me wrong. I love PvP. I miss the old days of old-school UO. And Darktide of the Asherons call game. And the all PvP Andred and Mordred servers that originally were found on the great Dark Age of Camelot. But Darkfall is completely barren of content. The mob AI is pathetic. The world is empty. I am imaginative, but I got to have some kinda content besides a bunch of knuckleshead players all running around trying to fight each other or a handful of mobs. Darkfall was another big let down in a long list of mmo games I've tried over the years. Until last week when I finally took a look at Requiem: Bloodymare. I typically don't like free to play or micro-payment games, and I also have grown to hate all of the Asian/Korean mmo games I have ever installed. I typically usually prefer the more fantasy-themed games as opposed to the sci-fi themed mmo games. Then there is this new game to the USA as of last summer (2008) called "Requiem". It takes the best of WoW, the best of newer games like Warhammer Online, and also allows a freedom PvP server where you can kill and attack any player with consequences of not being able to group with others and talk to most npcs making life rather difficult. It has features like mailboxes, live auctions to sell/buy goods, and personal mounts for faster travel. The crafting system is actually very reqarding and fun and doesn't require grinding crafting skills for a billion hours. And best of all, it is totally free to play. Sure, you can pay them money for added benefits, but the game is insanelty fun just with the totally free, basic account. The game features another thing that is extremely satisfying - Graphic violence. Heads being cut off, arms and limbs flying, blood splattering everywhere, and even bodys being cut in half! Each type of monster actually has different ways that it gets hacked apart. For this feature, and the fact that they allow players to curse to their hearts content in the game instantly gives this game an Mature-17 game rating. Not that mature rated games are uncommon, but this game is actually a quality and very entertaining game with oodles of content. Trust me, I could go on and on and on about all the reasons I love this game. But let the game speak for itself... Check it out yourself at www.playrequiem.com It's easily worth the free trial in by FAR the best free to play mmo I've ever installed out of at least 50 of the suckers over the past five or six years. Enjoy!!

Wasn't Turbine supposed to release info on a new console mmo early this year?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/27/09 1:32:54 AM
I could have swore I read like last September that Turbine was supposedly working on a new mmorpg that might be coming for the PS3 or Xbox 360. I know they told people that info would be revealed about it all early in 2009. Anyone know anything more on this matter? Here is a link to one of many out there about this from last year: www.vg247.com/2008/11/06/turbine-will-announce-console-mmo-projects-early-next-year/

Is it good to be BORED after first 20 minutes before server crashes?

Well, to be completely honest, Darkfall ISN'T for most mmo gamers. I wouldn't really classify it as an insult. darfall is a game for people who aren't pussies Yes, throwing personal insults at people while you hide behind the internet or behind a POS game makes you really tough. lol |

Yep, was the inner Mahirim lands where I started. the middle choice. Hey every other mmo I've ever played had mobs everywhere out of the towns. And I've played UO, AC1, AC2, EQ, EQ2, WoW, DAoC, Horizons, SWG, Irth, Guild Wars, Eve, Lineage, Lineage 2, Perfect World, Warhammer, AoC, CoH, D&L, Mourning, Vanguard, FF 11, Saga of Ryzom, and probably 20 more. But I'm a "nub" cuz I think I might see some kinda life out of the town. Yeh DF is just different cuz it's better then all those other games. it's being a huge ass barren, empty lifeless world is GREAT! What the fuck ever. Quite frankley, I might have given this game another shot. But if the only life that I'll find in this world is the kindof community that has responded here... you people should be ashamed of mocking the WoW community. I never gave a "final review", I clearly stated I was simply judging it based on 20 minutes of seeing nothing. |

I created a character. Worked fine. Not enough options, but that's cool. Enter the world from one of three possible areas. I see two players around town. One is sitting, the other running around exploring it looks like. So I equip my only weapon, looks like a dagger. I head out of the town to try and find some quick action. I run. I run a huge circle. I see nothing. I take no damage from anything. Even from jumping from high on a cliff. You can climb mountains at ease. Almost as fast, if not as fast as if it were flat terrain. Kinda silly. But for Christ's sake! I see not one fucking monster of any kind running around in a giant circle around the outpost i started in. I took no damage from anything. I noticed that I could have chopped would or mined for stone. Great, I have no tools though. I might could have casted a spell while running, but no staff. No money to buy one. Nothing to fight to get stuff or money. Then the fucking game crashed, server down or whatever as I was headed back to town to look for players to maybe get some kindof action. Sheesh. Graphics are pretty damn good to be honest. Clipping is bad. World is too dark, but the shadows are nicely done. Smooth running, I had no lag at all. But god damn, I'm was so bored my first 20 minutes in the game, I'm going to bed. I will try tomorrow, but right now I am less then inspired. AV - Give us some shit to fight man. Nothing is fun about running for 20 minutes and not seeing one freaking mob! First reaction score - Graphics 8/10. Gameplay: 2/10 Fun factor: 1/10, Overall 2/10 I hope it gets better!

Patching game now.. 35% complete.. Who wants to see video of my first ever log in time into DF?
General Discussion « Darkfall 2/26/09 2:45:30 AM
Okay people, I will record stuff in 5 min increments or so, so that video uploads to Youtube will go faster. If there is a better website that is free to host these videos to, with better quality or w/e., please offer me such advice. Also I'll check after my first few moments or so to see any requests of what you might want to see that within my possibilities as a noob naturally.

If some of you out there that may not have this game, I have video recording software ready to record. If any of you would like to see video of my first ever moments logged into this game, just say so here. I'll record my character creation process and my first 10 minutes or so logged into this world at its official launch. Just say so and i will put this video up very soon... |

Predict the "next excuse" after the 2 hour ETA bug announcement...
General Discussion « Darkfall 2/26/09 2:12:01 AM
"Hello again from the Darkfall team" After making sure that our fanbase has gotten extremely upset, we hold our flag up high and proud as we want to tell you that this game is over. You wanted a game with realistic nature. You wanted PvP. We've given that to you for years. Look no further then our own forums the past many years or at websites like mmorpg in the Darkfall section and you can clearly see PvP forum warfare was dished out virtually 24/7/365 for years! You wanted a game where full loot could take place. You wanted true risk vs reward. Look no further. You took a "risk", and we got the "reward". We thank you for allowing your braincells to become fully "ganked" and definitely dead as we now fully looted all of you of your 42 Euros! Most of all, you wanted a game that you'd never forget. Trust me when all of us from Aventurine tell you that we have no doubts that you will never forget this game. That's right. Just a game. Thanks for playing. You risked. We got the reward. Game over. Oh, enjoy your 8.6 GB client. If you search, you will find a HD video of a certain popular Youtube video that so many of you forshadowed with over the years. Enjoy! Look forward to Darkfall 2 coming in 2018. Unless we need more loot before then! The Darkfall Team." |

Guessing game! How many free days will we have by the time server is up?
General Discussion « Darkfall 2/26/09 1:19:16 AM
They could give us a billion free days and it won't make any difference if their game never launches or lasts a month after they do actually launch. |

I think the stuff the OP is talking about is like in old school UO.. I remember well the spellbooks in UO. There was no way to know by clicking on it how many of the potential 64 spells were actually in the spellbook for a long time. Tons of people would sell a virtually worthless empty spell book that cost like 15 gold at any npc as a full spell book for like 5k gold or something crazy. The trade window did not allow a buyer to actually look at the pages of the book, so it was all based on faith and trust, and many victims were taken for a lot of gold. EA finally fixed this buy allowing anyone to click on the book and it would say "0 spells", "19 spells", or "64 spells" or however many were actually in it.
