I know it's using Unreal Engine, but personally I haven't seen a single unreal engine game that looks THIS good. Not even like Gears of War (a fun game that's overhyped like hell). Maybe that's just because I'm a big fan of the korean-style art style. But I mean still... damn this game looks sweet. I always loved the Lineage 2 graphics (which uses older unreal engine), and I thought L2's art style and awesomeness would never be able to be topped. But TERA topped it bigtime. In technical advancement (obviously), but also in art style !! I've been waiting forever for a good (keyword) mmorpg that's SOMEWHAT reminiscent of Lineage 2, and TERA seriously fits that role perfectly !! Although it's not similar gameplay wise (atleast not superficially), I still think it would be a good contender with the much wanted Lineage 3. I'm definitely buying a new computer for this game, cuz I want to be able to play MAX graphix on everything without getting major lag !! My only problem here is that I need to get off my pot-smoking ass (hey, I'm 20 and enjoying life=P) and get a job, so my mother might actually consider supporting me with some cash to buy a new computer=PP LET HYPE BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!! =PP Also, hope to see u all in-game when the time comes! //Martin out =D |

PS3 to outsell Xbox 360 by 2012 - Analyst

Little Big Planet sold SIGNIFICANTLY more (millions of copies), and Little Big Planet is not a boring game, unlike Viva Pinata. If you're honestly going to tell me Viva Pinata is better than LBP, or even equally good, then I'm not going to bother replying anymore. Also, I never said Ninja Gaiden series is exclusive to PS3, I said Ninja Gaiden SIGMA is exclusive to PS3, get it through ur thick head. And not to mention how much better Ninja Gaiden Sigma is than the regular Ninja Gaiden for xbox 360. People who played Ninja Gaiden 2 on xbox 360 pretty much beta-tested it for us, and the result: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Lolol And all u can come with is the amount of copies Halo and Gears of War sold. It's because xbox 360 has a bigger install base due to it being released almost 2 years prior, also because of the fact that they're like the only good games on Xbox 360 (next to Forza and Alan Wake) I already posted which noteworthy games PS3 has compared to Xbox 360's noteworthy games (which are next to non existant compared to PS3's) Why do u keep mentioning Left 4 Dead 2? How slow are u? Have u still not managed to squeeze through ur thick head the fact that Left 4 Dead is multiplatform and exists on PS3 as well? Besides that ur left with Gears and Halo, lol. I can ramble a whole list of very great and active multiplayer games on PS3.

Sheer number of players? PS3 is only 3 million units behind Xbox 360, and Xbox 360 had more than a years head start, almost 2 years. |

Xbox 360 has:Gears of War, Halo and Forza (please tell me I'm wrong)
PS3 has: Uncharted 1 & 2, Demon's Souls, God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Ratchet & Clank games, Ninja Gaiden Sigma series, inFamous, Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza 3, Little Big Planet
ALL of which are 100% ps3 exclusive and have had great success. Not to mention the ps3 exclusives that are not far from release, including Gran Turismo 5, inFamous 2 and Killzone 3.
Let's see here, which console has better games here? Not to mention the most? I think the answer is obvious. |

Yep! The Customer Service is surprisingly good in Lineage 2!! I remember a year or so ago when I wanted to reclaim an old account that I had forgotten the password on. I pretty much got an instant reply! (this was via e-mail). They are great hard working people over at NCSoft Austin=)Props from Sweden!!
And as much as I'd like to start playing this game again (i'm a veteran from back in the Open Beta / chronicle 2-4 days, Erica server, also got some less old screenshots in the Lineage 2 user screenshots section, infact the very first user submitted screenshot submitted on mmorpg.com is right before mine, and yes, I called myself Sweork xD My more serious character from the OB / C 2-4 days was called Zikhan ), I don't think I ever will. I feel like it would require way too much of my time.
Right now I'm eagerly waiting for Warhammer 40k Online and Diablo 3=)
Hope u guys who are still playing Lineage 2 are having fun^^ |

Too bad we're looking at a game that's been dead since the beginning of time... |

I would pick EQ2 if I were you. L2 has been my favourite MMORPG ever since Open Beta Test in 2004, but I think EQ2 is more worth your money and time. It's a cozier and more relaxing game. I mean it's pure fun, whereas L2 is more just addiction and annoying at times. Also EQ2 has more people playing in starting towns etc, which is fun. I mean it's a lot more fun to reroll characters in EQ2 than it is in L2, that's why there will be more people in starting towns. Also I have a feeling that there will just be generally more people playing EQ2 than Lineage 2. I have a lot of good memories from EQ2, it's a great game. Go play it! |

I have so many good memories from EQ2 (I played on Euro, but unfortunately I don't remember the name of the specific server>,<), and while I'm not necessarily considering resubscription, I still want to give mad props to this game for what it used to be. Everquest 2 just had this awesome community. Is it just me or does EQ2 just have this really mature yet energetic/happy and friendly community? I mean compared to Lineage 2 which has a slightly more childish community. Well obviously depending. The official servers (still talking about L2) back in the days (and probably nowadays too) had quite a few mature and really awesome people, but the rest were quite annoying and childish (although I only stick to the mature people, which creates the biggest impression on me).
Even though there were a lot of dousche bag lonewolfs in EQ2 (almost too many) I find that the majority were really friendly and warm people who really gave the EQ2 community good reputation (atleast in my eyes). I really do miss all the people I used to group with, and since I played tank class I never really had any problems finding people to join/recruit. The reason I don't want to resubscribe is because I know that the number of people playing has most likely decreased by a lot since last time I played, which was back in early 2008 if I remember correctly. Although early 2008 was for a very brief moment, I played the most during winter-christmas 2007 (althought I played quite a bit during winter/christmas 2006 as well, but I was occupied with Lineage 2 during that time). And obviously a bit on and off before that beginning 2005. Anyway, although Lineage 2 is my favourite MMORPG of all time (which I also have A LOT of great memories of, mostly from the Open Beta Test), I still consider EQ2 my very close second, if not a bigger favourite. I don't know, there's just something about it that really stayed with me. Great community, such awesome and cozy atmosphere, fun quests, and sometimes annoying (such as battle themes) - but still very memorable and great music (like in towns etc), although I did play some of my own mp3 in winamp from time to time depending on what I felt like listening to;D I've played so many MMORPGS ever since, such as Warhammer Online and Aion: Tower of Eternity (just the beta though), and I still feel like there'll never be another game like EQ2. I think it's a great game by itself that nothing can top. I wish I could remember the clans I joined, but unfortunately I don't;( My most active characters name was Swede though, if any of you recognize me;D (on a side not, my screenshots are the very first user uploaded screenshots for the EQ2 "Member uploaded screenshots" section, but I have a few more 1-2 pages later, as well as scattered in the middle here and there, and a few closer towards the end). Well props to all you guys who are part of the EQ2 community, hope I get to see more of you in future games;D

Well actually not long ago (just like 2 weeks ago) I really felt like returning. But after the whole "Return Key" crap I changed my mind. I didn't want to pay unless I got a trial for atleast 15 days for reactivating my almost 4 years old account. That's not my oldest account though, my very first account is from March 2004 (when the OB opened). But I gave it to my friend when I moved to my dad in Ecuador in June 2004 to study at one of the countries most expensive private schools, so I didn't have time to play games. When I got back to Sweden in 2005 I made a new account, and that's the one I have now. I missed Prelude, C1, played very little C2 on a short visit to Sweden. Then when I got back in 2005 to live here again, I played some C3, played SOME c4 (mostly the PTS server), and then a bit of C5. But that's when I started playing on private servers. I have a lot of good memories from the pirvate servers I've played on over the years. But now recently I really felt like returning to the official servers because of so many good memories. But I feel like it just won't be the same anymore. And it won't be equally fun because my bro quit playing AGES ago, and my two real life Taiwanese friends who used to play with me also quit ages ago. So I'll be all alone, and I'll have to make a new character. I heard it's more low level friendly, but it's still the same since you'll be pretty much by yourself, and the beginning towns are next to completely empty. Not that I mind lone wolfing, because I used to EXP quite a lot by myself during the OB, but the comfort of seeing people here and there, and maybe partying with someone from time to time is quite important to me personally, otherwise it's boring as hell. Props to L2 being what will probably stay one of the best MMORPG's of all time, but its time is practically over. It was my first ever MMORPG so it'll probably always be my favourite. I've played Warhammer Online, Eve, Everquest 2, Asheron's Call, etc etc, and none of them top l2 for me. Good times, good times. I even have this little memory of good times in L2 here, my screenshot is the very first (okay second rofl) uploaded user screenshot here on MMORPG.com^^ (in the Lineage 2 'Member Submitted screenshots' section. I also happen to be the first user screenshot uploader for Everquest 2;P). And that screenshot wasn't even my earliest, that was like in early 2005. |

Yeah.................. Did you read the post above?
I resurrected an old account that I'd rather play on. |

Bumping this thread.
Please send me a refer key to clansic_m@hotmail.com (decided to resurrect and old account that I had previously forgotten the password to, but resolved through customer support)
Much appreciated |

That's apparently the point of the "Return" key. It's a pile of horse shit.
You need to pay a full month or more in order for that key to work. So in the end you end up with 45 days of subscription for the price of 30 days. But it still tricks you into thinking that you actually get 15 days for free without having to pay.
If I actually got 15 days FOR FREE because of activating a 90 days or more inactive account, I'd probably consider paying more AFTER my trial ends.
