Unless you want to be forced to FULL GROUP with the CORRECT CLASSES to suceed & have any fun, EQ2 has nothing for you.

TSO is the WORST EQ2 EXPANSION EVER !

Last expansion was solo oriented now it's just FORCED GROUPING.

EQ2 needs to find a balance as solo'ers, duo'ers, trio'ers are starting to cancel their accounts.

After 4 years of paying SoE, we have closed our 4 accounts.

So if you want to log in & find a full group all the time, EQ2 is the perfect game for you.

Yes the dungeons are for groups, almost have always been that way for most dungeons, as for the overland i have done every quest there solo, unless they ask you to go into a dungeon, and there was a poll months back that asked the community what new content would be like that they wanted and the majority voted group orientated stuff, so they made the dungeons for grouping and the moors for solo play. If you did not take part in the survey months ago I wouldnt complain, thats like not voting and then bitching about the president.

I guess there will one day be one, as for me i do like charecter progression, something to play towards, watching the mechanics of the game and the stories unfold as you go along, indeed i do not like games in which every quest and task is kill this over there, I prefer the ''grind'' to be barely noticable by a nice story arch you progress on so that you feel as if you are part of the storyline learning the lore and legends as you go along, I think you may wish to play a shoot em up mmofps, where the story and content doesnt matter and you can start at max level and jump into pvp, like guildwars where you can start at max lvl for pvp, but it gets utterly boring, at least for me with no storyline or anything, but thats my tastes, I play mmorpg's for fun and escapism, if i dont feel like i have become part of the story, or there is no story it doesnt hold my interests.

OH god, you've really done i now.  The amount of hatred there is towards wow on this forums, will lead to total anarchy in this thread.

For the record i agree.

I think getting EQ 2.0 epic was far harder than anything in WoW, ya ever have to get an entire raid force together for 1 quest piece of many to drop?

Back then you only got people to do it on your merit, because generally, no one got anything out of the raid but the person needing the epic part.

So I disagree that WoW is the most difficult mmorpg ever when it comes to gear.

I agree, its been farking months and im still working on getting my epic weapon, and the uberr class armor that drops can drop but also has the chance to drop any of the 24 some classes and nothing at all.

I have the Lotro complete or 'compilation' pack and you only get a free month if you go from scratch with a new account. That said, I think you should get a free month for buying an expansion.

I have a valid WoW sub, but I don't think they give us very much in between the expansions, not for the money they get anyway...

I retract my previous statement then as far as the 30 days free for a new account only as I have a lifetime sub but 40 bucks for the full game and Xpac with 30 free days is a steal.

You can say its an inferior game and thats why if you want as I will respect your opinion but I am curious to know what makes it inferior besides it does not have 11 million subs.

WOW battle chest =$40 then another $40 for Xpac $80 to get the same deal from LotRo for half the cost and twice the conent.

Yeah, what LOTRO did is basically the same as if you bought the WOW battlechest.   You get the original game, the expansion AND a free month.  But the free month only counts if you start a new account.

The same with eq2 if you buy the bundle with the new expansion you get a free month of time only if you are a new subscriber.

Crafting is not deep, it is performed entirely by a NPC, and the only thing they do is make items without stats because TCoS does not have dropped items or crafted items with stats as is described on site.

I do not know what you read on whatever site, but Sigils have effect on character performance much like stats and they drop and can be crafted.

Sigils? I thought those were in vanguard.

I suppose the feller 3 posts up isnt into the eq2 lore, the world went into a shattering of epic proportions, lands were ripped apart and eq2 is placed in the future of eq1 and the people are starting to reawaken to try to explore and are finding these places all over again, yeah a lot of places are revamped from eq1 but i suppose if you dont get into the lore and understand why these places are resurfacing and such it would appear that it is meerly rehashed content from eq1 with no purpose.

hey bro, do a google for RYL, theres several RYL mmo's, great hack n slash, with quests if ya like and then you can battle the other side in wartime hours if ya like, all spells are looted and can be learned almost immediatly, you craft yer own stuff from looting junk and putting it together at the blacksmith, this may be down yer alley,

For some reason I just don't think Ozzy, Mr. T or most of the ''famous'' peeps in the comercials actually play WoW, but they sure landed one hell of a marketing scheme I'll give blizz that much.

I jhave stayed up for 24 hours many a times, didnt ever think 24 hours was that long to be awake, perhaps his hospilization was due to the things they may have been using to stay awake like massive amounts of caffeine, meth or ecstasy.
