Something about this reminds me of Neil Gaimen and his sandman series, even the artwork looks like his illustrater.

Wow man, now if we can all complain about something that will make the world a better place, or make our own lives more productive and meaningful, to someone that matters I am sure we could acomplish something, but it is sad theres 4 pages of arguments and complaints about a game when theres people in this world eating fucking mud cakes for dinner.

As much as I'd like single-player instances (or even instances for just two people), they need to fix their instance infrastructure first. I really enjoy WoW, but the "too many instances" bug has gone from annoying to making the game unplayable for those of us that raid. 45 minutes to get in to a 5 man instance that takes 30 minutes to finish is a joke.

There was a whole raiding guild that got banned for exploiting a bug that let you bypass all the trash and get str8 to the raid boss

I have just started playing aoc. I had avoided it for awhile to let the bugs and such get ironed out that I had heard it had, I am surprisingly enjoying it more than I thought I was going to.

My good rig is down at the moment, waiting on a new hard drive, so I am playing on my older rig, and surprisingly the game is running very well, admittedly I do get lagged a bit but it goes away quickly as I sync up, but that is to be expected on a 5 year old comp running a radeon 9800 pro vid card LOL,

As far as content is concerned I have always been on a quest, or task or whatever the kids are calling it these days, I am so far a lvl 33 conq.,and I barely notice any type of complaint I would call a boring grind, as I am always traversing somewhere to do something, be it to kill something, run something somewhere, harvest resources, run an instance, while following whatever story arch I am in within that particular moment (to my understanding this type of content was not implemented as much at launch as it is currently, which was the reason for my initial hesitation upon getting the game, or any game at launch for that matter, I usually enter a game a year or so after it opens to curtail things as bugs and rocky releases)

All in all I am very pleased with AoC as it stands currently, and I am hoping for it to have a good future with more great content to be added and a continuing story, lands, raids, dungeons, quests and tasks. Well thats my opinion on AoC, oh yeah one last thing, I almost immediatly joined a guild and this enabled me to turn off the general chat LOL, as with most mmo's being in a guild can be helpful and fun, as well as get away from certain people whom may spew crap from there mouths in general. If any of you are interested in a growing guild we are called 'the band of the red hand', on the set server I do think.

yeah....Mods lease move this topic to the Aion forumns this is in the wrong place

Do these crashes come lateer in the game or something? Just asking because I am playing on a 5 year old dell with a radeon 9800 pro video card and havent had a hitch yet, and I am enjoying the game so far.

I would definatly try ac2, As this is one of the gam,es i didnt to get to at least try and i wish i would have.

if all of EvE wasa 0.0 I would think that there would be one huge corparation and maybe a few smaller corps made from assholes that the larger corp kicked out for being so, and the larger corps would kill them over and over , eventually running them out of the game due to it being virtually unplayable and unenjoyable.

ahhh, I forgot to ask, I was in the last 2 betas, is this third beta for pre-orders only or something, apperently I cant log into it as I did b4.

Not at the slightest dude, i HAVE NOT KILLED HUNDREDS OF MOBS just to lvl, I have killed stuff via quests and a deep storyline as to why I am killing stuff, you wont be revealed your true self till around lvl 10, but as you notice, npc's will notice something ''special'' about you.

I am in the same boat as Zorvan, I prefer xbox 360 due to it haveing more games that I enjoy, the ps3 may have the same amount of games exclusivly for it but I dont enjoy many of them.

Aion supports gameguard, I have found that gameguard shows as a virus especially on free virus software, I have to disable my avg virus scanner with every game that uses gameguard, or most anti-cheat games.

50% downloaded, .....omg, I havent loved playing an mmo as much as aion in so long, I cant even point out what aprticular thing it is that makes me like it so much, but it has that ''it'' for me for some strange reason.

I would suggest dungeons and dragons online, I cant talk much about it under the nda but I would highly suggest it when it goes live free to play,

So far in aion I never had to ''just go kill shit mindlessly to level my toon'' . I have leveled by quests mostly which opens up the story arch of whats going on in the lands, of course one could just kill shit to level, but why would they want too, theres always a reason to kill shit and a story behind what yer doing, this is why I love Aion so far.

What are people thought's on player run economy?

Let's take a look at EVE Online which has one of the most advanced economies.

And like a real economy, over the years I have seen prices rise higher and higher for ships. I am now paying bout 55% more for tech 2 ships that I did previously. And recall- if you get this ship blown up you gotta go buy another. Ouch!

Where are people getting all this ingame money to buy this stuff????

IT's gotta be due to all these macros and cheats. I know in EVE, there is now a macro so advanced, it will farm everything for you and even hide your ship if another player might possibly attack.

I'm starting to think player run economy = GET SCREWED BY OTHER PLAYERS 24/7!

I guess for you WoW players the equivalent would be Auction House for rares. I dont know bout now but I remember pre-Battlegrounds we saw insane prices for tradeable rare Epics.

Really sucks that players can accumulate all this ingame money from hacks, cheats, farmers, etc. Ruins the game for other players indirectly and we dont even realize how bad we're all getting screwed over by cheaters

IN EvE you can get 600 million isk for plexing someone, plexing is the selling of a gametime card for isk, and this is all a legal transaction which is monitered by the csr's and what not.

Being in a guild is very helpful in  a player run economy, in all games that I have played in player run enomy's me and my guildees would help eachother get the best stuff, all that was needed to craft what you wanted was the rare item if needed, but yeah if you were not in our guild and needed something crafted from us you would have to pay the going rate, this is almost an unwritten rule in most if not all mmo;'s ''GUILDEES PAY THE BARE COST ONLY, IF THAT''. If this is not the case in your guild I would find a different guild, if you are not in a guild and are paying top dollar for items then I would suggest6 joining a guild to help you go a bit easier on yer ingame wallet lol.

uggg, this speculation creeps me out, it is all the same classes in your average fantasy mmo's but with fancy starwars names tagged onto it, tank, dps, mage, crowd control, healers ect, If I ever decide to play this game I was hoping you can mix match the classes and skills, hopefully you will be able to branch off in different areas, say, some bit of jedi and then a bit of slicer and medic thrown in , just make it open already so you dont have to be set in stone playing the the life of your toon.

I disagree aion being a bad game, the high intensity of the fighting animations draw me in as well as the storyline, this is one of the most fun mmo's I played in a long time, all the way to lvl 20 i did not just kill mobs, I always had a quest and a reason to do so, and it all links together in the story nicely, its casual enogh for me to play with 2 young ones and its able to run on my older dell when my oldest is on the good comp, as for the fighting animations being over the top from the beggining ..This too fits into the story, you are in the story the highest of the most powerful asmodians or the deavas, and you are recalling your memories as you follow the story.

im sorry to say ,something is wrong with this game i played to level 4 and it felt like i played 50 level.might be me but i will never reach lvl 10 thats for sure ,or its the shitty repetitive sound my toon make everytime he hit or being hit i dont know

1 thing is sure im feeling bad i had high hope for this game but this game sound like any f2p game that was out 4 years ago ,no im wrong it sound exaclty like lineage 2 oo graphic look fair but this game will be a lag party i had to lower my setting way lower then they recommend or i would have been going at hasty 5 fps

this game will never be a wow killer i d rater play wow again instead .gees who think this can pass in america 4 years on to this game gees i hope content is good cause the sound effect from toon is so annoying i was desperate to get out after 4 lvl

sound effect from toon spell fire bolt is so anoying i wanted to trottle the toon if at least only my opponent heard it it might actually be fun but me hearing that gees no way not even till lvl 5 ,hell guild wars is 10 time better and its a 4 year old game

so i guess ill keep an eye on gw 2 then .and there i thot aion would be cool,if they want this game to be a wow killer they better post pone lunch cause it still miss 20 % work on it for america

its not just the sound either something is wrong that annoyed me first second i was in the game .dont know what tho

dont get me wrong it looks good in a gothic kind of way. makes me think of dracula went in a nuclear test zone

maybe im too used to cartoon look a la wow the shadow side it doesnt look like there in constant shadow they look underwater

nope this game aint for me

The first at least 15 levels are all about the opening of the storyline and learning, after 15 the game picks up big time, at least it did for me in the last beta, made lvl 17 and was frikking loving it.
