Looks like the tally goes to Rift, LOTRO, and EQ2... thanks everyone thats just what I needed... some games I can base my options and make a decision... thanks for the help... I had no idea where to start! I have looked at some videos of Rift b4 the post and it does look good... I'll go check out LOTRO and EQ2 and see what they have to offer...

I am contemplating getting back into the addiction. If I so choose to I want to get into a great rpg that is fairly new or is upcoming this year that I can do research on. A brief on my history so you know what I'm looking for is as follows: EverQuest (played it for about 10yrs) Vanguard Warhammer Age of Conan Aion Again I'm just looking for advise on a title... I will do my own research but will appreciate any and all rumors/opinions to help me steer in the correct path. I have no idea what the good titles are these days being out of the blog loops and outside the game chats... thank you ~SCHOONY~ |

Thx all for the help... I'm borrowing my friends PS3 until my household stuff come next week, and its laggy at times and sometimes wont let me play online. So I'm figuring its the internet at this hotel (close on my house tommorrow!!!woot!!); so I think i'll keep my aion account and battle next to everyone once again when i get my home up and running.. see you soon!!! |

OK upon review of my post let it be known i thought i was on my comp... ( which is on a boat back to the states)... not sure what the heck was going on ( alcohol was there.. but nothin misspelled so not bad enough) I think it was me just mad at the game... so back to the topic... my laptop can play WOW, WAR, Vanguard; but i assume this is more demanding.. specs on this thing is HP Pavilion dv6700 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHz; 3G RAM, 32BIT vista
i know its the not the best but is this sufficient enough to play or is it something else?
my guess is no cause i obviously have the prob.. but hoping you could confirm.. if so it looks like you wont see me on for a while... :)
nother Q: If it works at points.. is it because noone else is in range... my graphics are down.. and im checkin to see if theres updates on my vid driver as im typing this oh its NIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
UPDATE: driver update says installing so I think it found something... hope it works (I REALLY WANT TO PLAY) |

I can get into comp specs but before I do is it just this game or something... ive had this game for a few days now and somehow... and still surprised its been so fast am lvl 7. (20min harvesting aria.. and dont even start asking about killin mobs) I peeked into some forum b4 i bought the game and reemeber something about T.W.C. and aion and lag issues... is this confirmed? Or is it time to somehow convince the warden for a new comp ( which i dont mind but not approaching the warden w/ such a request would be nice... :)

I've read alot of pro vs. con's on the game.... not sure where everyones getting the extra info than the others... seems too early to be truly hating/loving the game. I have been out of the mmo community for 2 yrs (overseas tour) and got back a week ago... now I'm looking for my "next game". I've found a few i might "nibble on" but I have a good feeling I'll be counting down till this release.
P.S. any suggestions on a game to get my fix?!? |
