A fond farewell

The original classic MMORPG Roma Victor is no longer available.

In January 2011 the Roma-Victor.com web servers experienced a significant hardware failure. Given that both these servers and the Roma Victor game servers themselves were being kept online free of charge, the costs in time and hardware for a full recovery are prohibitive at this time.

So it is with a heavy heart that we've taken Roma Victor offline for good. We had announced back in May 2010 that the servers would be taken offline before the end of 2010, and obviously we let them run, at our own expense, for some time beyond that original deadline.

RedBedlam is currently focussed exclusively on developing projects for third parties. It is worth bearing in mind however that a great deal of work was put into the project codenamed 'Roma Victor 2', and we still have every intention of releasing a top quality historically authentic 'remake' at a later date.

Roma Victor was a massively ambitious project and it would never have seen the light of day were it not for the support of, what we still maintain, was one of the best and most coherent of online communities.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of those who participated in this project.

For a MMORPG game what is the maxim vertices a mesh #d model can have to be rendered very fast but have a damn good smooth loking graphic?

im asking after ive seen cryengine who is used for a single computer not an online game whre rendering of models must be done very fast.

Honest commanderjim heh? From my side wasnt same honest since i finished banned from RV for who knows what reason. but when my time will come RV will feel it very bad. This game is a money scam. Since 2006 when they launched without implementing in game what they already said. And RV2 wont come to soon, they coudnt keep a simple promise to let a trial try for all comunity at begining of Octomber. This is just a backstage project made by some students to scam some money.

Here we go again. Another story to tell ur grandnephew, another lie of RedBedLame and mainly of his CEO KFR. we passed middle of octomber and yet no new testing trials implemented. Well for all others who wait an improvment of this game.... keep dreaming.

lol i bought it in 2006 if u woult interested to know. And i keep playing this crap cause i bought it. why quiting? isnt a montly fee. if this fee will be placed not more then 10 persons will play the game

I hate to say this, what they did was wrong, but in many ways you did have it coming to you.   Taking stuff out of peoples pens without asking.   Accussed of stealing from players that you lease out property too.

I dont care about your high prices... I do care that you target new players with those "deals".   And thats just wrong.

 

So I hate to say this, if you REALLY have a problem with the game just shut up and leave.   If you just have a problem with some players, switch sides.   Nothing is stopping you.

 

erhm this topic is for reasons to not buy the game, not reasons I have to not play. Every1 should know what to expect if they buy the game tho. Because RB take 10 pounds from me from u and from other who knows how many, and they get rich for just selling a project. a beta game . Why KFR need Re-realease? Didnt he released the game once? oh yes he lost most of the players. not many remain to play it. And for new comers the price will go up.

Reasons are many.

1. Graphical. Low graphics

                         Graphics bugs unfixed.

2. Crashes. Plenty of them, and they all happen when your either in wilderness either enter ur own house etc.

                      Loads of Server bugs and client bugs know for very long and not fixed. Building bugs(when all buildings disapear from a board and all NPC can be killed inside a private house)

3. Very low player base in the history of games. Wurmonline another game has even more then this game. IF u buy it ull find many characters but only 1 player lol.

4. Spawnkill. Yes its allowed. i died 5 times today.

5. Community. Like in every single game, in here too ull find some mockers, and peoples who talks nonsense (see philz50 posts) or to much and arguing. We, i think are still humans and ..oh well we are  evolved, can accept other opinions even we dont share them. But no here is i said so. So if u like this game DOnt worrie. ull quit in less then 7 days like so many others.

dont let u foul by what they say. It easy to talk harder to do. IN 4 YEars since realease in 2005 from what i read Little has changed and actualy in KFR statment he wants a re-release which means what i posted many time until now. RV was IN beta testing. A payable betatesting.

Oh oh and another thing. IF u play Barbarian u do a big mistake. KFr dont like barbarians and if u criticize him u get banned. IF ur roman and kiss his GOD feets ur not banned even if u use third party soft that makes u Uber soldier. Think twice before  buying this CRAP
