I know what your talking about, thats why i gave EVE online a go and never looked back!

Once you get out of newbie land and hit 0.0 and a corp that is at war with other corps god dang is it fun!

Thats my opinion! and it took me 3 ttrys to understand it!

Thought i would add my 2 cents,

Ive played almost every MMO since  UO. And right now im playing EVE and im loving it and wish i started earlier!

Its as complicated as you want to make it - its a game you learn and keep learning, there are so many paths to take and the choice is yours.

I will add though i tried it twice 1 year apart then 7 months later gave it another crack and worked it all out!

This game looks very interesting, i have been waiting to try it for some time but due to the dated look of it i held off.

Once the new graphics upgrade takes place i think i will dive in and give it a go!

Was a long time Planetside player so im hoping for some large scale battles!

I am not sure why they didn't but god if they ever did do a Planetside2 i would be all over so would thousands of people if not hundreds of thousands.

But when i think of  the next MMOFPS the thing i think of is a Warhammer 40k version.

Can you imagine that???

Would be simply amazing with all the lore and work thats already been done my gameswork shop

I am much in the same boat as you ive been back 3 times now, and only recently decided to give it another go.

I am no vet nor expert but my angle of trying to get more out of the game and understand it etc was to find a corp (on vent) that could help me and guide me.

Im only 2 days into my 3rd attempt at the game and have had the account for over 4 years so some of the hard learning skills have been trained thank god.

But yer thats my suggestion dude - get into a good corp that can help you etc.

Lets see how long i last this time.

Hope you and me both get something out of it, these fantasy kiddy mmo's (WoW, conan, etc) are killing me.

Dude thats exactly what happens for me! I get to the teir 2 missions and keep dieing / having to warp and run away. And i get bored and confused / frustrated. I feel your pain.

But there is something about EVE that makes me come back time and time again.

I think all i need is a good corp that uses Vent that can assist me in my massive learning curve.

Orb strikes have nothing to do with the game being bad. I have no idea what your on about.

I do agree if only a compitent company other then SOE managed the game it would be that much better but to say orb strikes ruined the game is just silly. if anything BFR's did.

Either way pops are up and im likeing it!

So i guess i will answer my own question.

I logged on last night and mind you this is off peak! Its was great pops are back like they where at launch!

And i noticed some screen shots of peak time and it had 2 conts popped locked!

Mass orbital strikes, just like the good old days!

yer that does not surprise me.......

Get back to us after the merge though and fill us in on how it is.

It would be fantastic to see a realistic siege, but let's face it: until they can make 1000 players appear on a screen without any performance hits, massive sieges aren't possible. Its not an mmorpg but Planetside was what you called EPIC! 1000+ players in the same map / same base killing the shit out of each other. It can be done, funcom obviously need to work on there .net code.

Well im a Vet (since beta) but i do know why i left. But yer apart from all that to answer your question yer im back not sure for how long lets see how the merge goes but i agree every time i do come back i have a shit load of fun! Im playing allot of alts atm before the merge but hell yer its fun it always has been.

I think allot will return to see the massive battles taking place onced we have been merged.

Should be fun!
