I don't see why people expect these release dates all the time, have they forgotten that for most MMO's over the years the release was announced a mere 2 months before release? Most recent examples that I can think of FFXIV of which in July was said that the release would be in September, and Trion that announced the March 1st release of Rift in January.

They also already gave a reason why they'd announce a release date close to the release itself, which is keeping their competitors in mind.

Have they released the release date for the announcement of the release date of the game yet?
