It may be a massive multiplayer online rpg but it's not a massively multiplayer online rpg.

There are already a plethora of non-MMORPG's on this site anyway so there isn't any reason not to add Diablo 3 too.

I will play a thief which dominates other thieves and my counter class will be a thief.

It's really a cookie cutter triangle/circle situation where thief beats thief, thief beats thief, and thief beats thief.

EA announced today that The Physical Warfare Pack (which will be available world-wide) will arm eager soldiers with the Type 88 Light Machine Gun, described as having “superior firepower;” a flash suppressor for the SKS sniper rifle that “reduces enemy awareness of your position” and is “the essential weapon mod for teamplay Recons at the front;” and armor-penetrating flechette shotgun ammo. All of these items will be 100 percent exclusive to the PWP.

 

Same thing happened with Bad Company 2. Since then I've spent exacly $0.00 US on anything produced by EA. ;)

The guns that came with Bad Company 2 were easily unlockable in the game. These guns cannot be acquired by any other means.

After reading through every comment listed in the OP the consensus is suggesting that I stay away from this game. They are suggesting this because I don't like wow like combat mechanics and KOTR will only be an enhancement of those. That said I am conflicted as I don't hate wow combat mechanics and an improvement might be enough for me to enjoy playing through the story, after all I did enjoy the single player star wars games from bioware.

The first Knights of the Old Republic is the only released star wars game made by bioware

Warhammer was a decent MMO and it would have been great if EA wasn't the publisher.

IMO, if it were between EA and Activision then I wouldn't even have wanted the game to be made.

EA since 04 and the whole "EA spouse" have massiveley improved their PR, working conditions and over the last 5 years have lead the way in creating quality titles and not regurgetating the same crap every year.

 

I'm a die hard PES fan and even I can say they have made great strides with FIFA over the last 5 years, then you have BF:BC2, Dead Space, ME 1 and 2, DA 1 and 2 and most recently a reboot of the NFS series taking arcade crap and shifting (pun intended) it to one of the best semi-sim racers for the PC.

 

EA genuineley have that feel of quality not quantity these days and looking at my steam purchases something around the 50% of all games I've bought in the last few years are EA games.

EA nickel and dimes people with DLC including day 1 DLC and with overpowered weapons in the case of DA2. I have an NPC in my camp in DA:O that wants me to buy DLC and there is an option for buying DLC in the opening menu of ME2.

As for quality, I wouldn't really know about that. I have yet to play a Bioware game that I can consider better than good. ME2 is barely an RPG IMO and I don't like the combat, DA:O is slow as hell and I dislike the combat system, the only class with any customization is the mage and the story is extremely generic and bland.

Never played any of the Battlefield games as I don't do generic, modern war shooters.

Never played Dead Space as I don't do zombie games.

Don't play FIFA as I don't play sports games and if you consider reskinning the graphics "making great strides" then by all means, all the power to you. 

Just because you like EA and the games they churn out doesn't mean they haven't made extremely shitty decisions or that people don't like them for those decisions.
