Runes of Magic: Fires of Shadowforge Review
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 7/10/12 9:06:17 PM
I did alot of the content for free when I played this game. I played the auction house, buying the cash shop currency (diamonds) for in game currency. I would then re-sell the diamonds at a higher rate on the AH and continue repeating the process. Never spent a single cent of my own money.
Sure, it take time, but it is the same as playing the AH in any other game. |

Requiem: Bloodymare: Four Years & Counting
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/16/12 9:53:42 PM
Yeah, I got an Assassin to about level 58-60, but quit because leveling was getting a bit tedious. Leveling isn't so bad if you get the premium + exp boosters as they affect quest exp. The secret was to do all the available quests for the level, pop a short term high exp booster, and quickly go turn in all your quests. Would usually get your level or very close to it. Leveling is pretty easy up to 45 or so without any cash shop exp boosts, and you can get pretty good gear and exp by doing instances like the Secret Lab.
Solid f2p game, was a good choice for those looking for f2p years ago.... but now I would just point people in the direction of League of Legends, Aion, or Lineage 2 for some cheap entertainment. |

Diablo 3: Favorite Diablo III Classes (So far!)
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/21/12 6:54:49 PM
Tried the WD in the Beta, but I have been playing Wizard since launch. Magic Weapon + Familiar (with +dmg rune) + Lightning shield (lower arcane cost) + Disintigrate (Nexus) = Stuff dies super fast.
Just beat Skeleton King in NM, so im not too far yet. |

3.6/10 user score with 2071 reviews on Metacritic
General Discussion « Diablo 3 5/16/12 8:52:46 PM
Been enjoying the game just fine, I would place the game between a 7 and an 8.
Guess the secret was that I didn't hype myself into a tizzy like some who heralded this game like the second coming of christ. Oh, and I skipped midnight release, I worked that day, and picked up the game after work. By the time I got the game installed, took a shower, made some food (yeah, priorities...) the servers were just fine if a little laggy.
Also, metacritic user reviews on most big name releases seem to get some serious vitriol. I would imagine that is because the people who are actually enjoying the game are too busy playing it to bother going to some website to give their thoughts on it. Meanwhile, the people who are upset or angry over the game are trying to find a place to vent. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Weekend Pass Coming
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/15/12 5:17:03 PM
I read this as "Hey guys.... can you please stop playing D3 and doing OTHER weekend betas to look at our game? Please...... :( " |

The wait is over for the game to release, but the wait to actually get to play because of server issues has just begun. |

Originally posted by DiSpLiFF Exactly the same reason I am not bothering with midnight release. Figure I will enjoy my night tonight, get a good night's sleep, and pick the game up after work tomorrow. The servers will (hopefully) be in working order by then. |

Why do Game Sequel Basic Mechanics Change?
General Gaming « General Discussion 5/13/12 10:43:00 AM
Skyrim was fun, but I enjoyed Morrowind much more. At least Skyrim is better than Oblivion imo.
As for the the OP, the reason the basic mechanics have changed is probably to try new things, or to keep up with the changing preferences of gamers. |

Well, that beta key is pretty useless to me atm. I can't even download the installer, just keep getting a browser error that it could not connect.

How am I meant to get get through the weekend and Monday?
General Discussion « Diablo 3 5/11/12 3:31:25 PM
Yeah, the wait doesn't bother me anymore. It was waiting for the announcement of a release date that was killing me. Reading Game of Thrones and playing Portal 2 has been keeping my free time to a minimum. Working 6 days a week also helps me keep busy, so I don't have too much time to think about Diablo 3.
Stay strong. |

DarkBlood Online: Combat Training Video Part 1
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/10/12 6:36:46 AM
Yeah, that is bad logic behind your math to prove a point. You are assuming that 100% of their registered users have a facebook. You are also assuming that every person who plays the game even cares about going to the game's facebook page to "like" it. To put that in perspective, that is about as bad as assuming that every person who gets a mail in survey sent to them will respond and take the time to answer honestly.
The game looks okay, I will pass on it as I will be playing other games soon enough. |
