Why would a company keep headcount around if they no longer need them? Seems reasonable to layoff after any software release. Most companies do it.

Don't bother, people don't want to hear this.  They want to point fingers and feel vindicated they didn't like a certain game / company.

Actually, since I already own Rift & Storm Legion, but not currently subbing... this is pretty good news to me.

I actually think this game will be quite popular under a F2P model.

The problem is that there is no way to fully remove all the duped gold.

People bought up all the high quality gear in the GAH and then either transferred it to other accounts, or gave them away.  Alot of duped gold was used to buy up crafting mats and then used to craft Radiant Star gems.  The truth is, there is no way the economy is going to be fixed without a complete rollback.  The gold from the duping is far too diffuse among the populace.

Now the RMAH comes back to bite Blizzard in the arse, because rolling back all the RMAH transactions that took place during this fiasco is a nightmare scenario.

I feel your pain.  I have always had an aversion to swimming through murky water in any of the Elder Scrolls games, and most recently Farcry 3.

I just hate those unexpected attacks from amphibious creatures.  /shudder

I would actually say I enjoy this game more now than I did at launch, just becuase I now understand the weapon system enough to see the possibilities of different loadouts.

Shooting things in the head with a sniper never tends to get old either, I love it.

Best: FFXI & Rift

Worst: TERA & LoL (if you can consider that an MMO)

There is a work around for it. if it happens again make sure to not close to patcher that gives you error..do not click anything not even the white box over your patcher.

Click defiance shortcut on your desktop and it will check files and resume. Let the patcher with error as it is in background. For now this is the only work around but it won't work if say your pc restarts lol.

Frankly this is one of the worst patchers i have come across in years of playing MMO.

Tried this and it didn't work, that is why I am upset.

The worst problem with the game doesn't even have to do with playing the game itself.  It is the fact the patcher cannot be paused and if you have an error (or try to pause it) you have to start re-downloading the game from scratch.

Was gonna hold off until I saw the most recent pre-order bonuses on Steam.  Was just too good to pass up.

As others have said.  Great news for Diablo 3, terrible news for Titan if he is put in any position that will affect the direction of the game.
