So I played the trial and am interseted in the game, but I must admit I was rather annoyed by seeing what everyone else was doing in my area showing up in the chat channel. I asked if there was a way to elminate this and didn't get an answer. Often times I couldn't even read what npc's were telling me fast enough before it wasn't on the screen anymore as other stuff was flooding the chat. Tips? |

What server........ what class for a caster ?

I would avoid the server Crushbone. I've had toons on a couple different servers and made one a few weeks ago on Crushbone and the community seems truly terrible. Level 1-9 chat is just constant flaming of people, talking about wow, or vulgarity of some sort. Have never seen anything like it before and I've played on Everfrost and Permafrost with good results. |

Fasaria World - great MMO for fans of old school EQ type MMOs.

Same here. I download and try a couple MMOs a month. Costs me nothing to do so. Every now and then I find an MMO I like and that MMO gets my money for a few months. Any MMO, especially with the track record of the past few years, that wants money up front isn't getting a second glance from me.
Did you even read the posts? They are going to start offering a trial. |

I took it upon myself to post this because the game just released, the population is low, and I would like more people to chat and quest with in the game. I was in the closed beta so I got to test it for free, but to be honest I do agree they need to have a trial because I'm not sure I would have joined without trying either for 40 bucks. Having played the game already I knew it was worth it but for people just reading these boards it may be risky. I will say that it is very fun but it won't be for everyone, more for an old school mmo niche imo. |

I just started playing this game a few nights ago and I am blown away by how good it is. If you are not a fan of old school MMOs like EQ, Asheron's Call, DAoC, etc. you will probably be instantly turned off by the graphics, but this independent gaming company has really developed a whopper of a game. You get to buy your own farm and castle, which allows you access to a bunch of personal quests and npcs that give you certain items and perks. You also get to open up your own shop that players have access to. You can hire a mercenary to help you on quests, and there is of course crafting and so forth. Really fun game with a great high fantasy feel. I suggest going to the Fasariaworld website, which is just fasariaworld.com to check it out and see what you think. Game just launched a few days ago and I would welcome some questing buddies. |

I agree with certain points here and not others. 1. Joke is on me for paying a sub fee in an open beta, I agree, dumb move. 2. I still believe that the practice of charging that fee is messed up if it's in beta and the system is this unstable, but that wasn't even my original point in the post. 3. It was the response by acclaim to the people who lost their time and investment that was most irritating. What's even more amusing is how they are now locking and deleting posts on the forums from people who are complaining about it, like they are trying to push it under the rug. |

I've also played multiple mmos and beta tested many, never a rollback. That being said, having read all the posts I see that it is common in SOME mmos. I still think it's messed up that Acclaim is still touting this as open beta and wanting us to go through these bugs while paying at the same time for subscription fees. Is it our choice to subscribe if we do, yes, but it's still ultra shady as far as I'm concerned. |

It's not about what happened, it's about their RESPONSE to what happened. Go tell everyone on the forums to "get over it" who lost hours and hours of time. |

That's a great idea about the EU servers, I'll do just that.
People should take the time to read some of the official responses to people's posts on the forums about what happened yesterday, it's truly hilarious. One was "it's just xp and items, you can get it back" lol. So caring. |

Acclaim is up to it's ugly tricks again. There was some big server malfunction last night and everyone got their stuff rolled back, 5+ hours worth. Some people lost multiple levels and leveling in this game is LONG and hard. People are pretty upset over at the forums and Acclaim is basically just like screw you, deal with it. Throw in their dumb ass coin subscription idea and lack of communication by the company and you've got another good thing gone bad due to a sh$t company. |

I see a lot of focus on realm versus realm on the website and from talk, but I'm a PvE type of player, not PvP. So, how does the game fare in that regard? Does it have raids and also is there other things to do PvE wise besides just raids? |

I am so frustrated with this. Today I went from pep level 3 to 0 because of the random disconnections that happened while I was busy fighting in areas infested with mobs. It seems other people are dealing with this also, but some more than others. I've played multiple mmos on this computer in this location and never have had this problem. Has anyone else come up with a solution to this? |

This game is a total grind fest, what are you talking about? Almost every quest is about killing upwards of 20-50 mobs for different quests and it's not uncommon to have 3 or more quests at one time to kill the same mob. BUT, the kills don't apply to all the quests, so if you have 3 quests that require you to kill 20 of x mob, you have to kill 60 of them. I put 20 levels into it and that's enough for me. They can keep their grind and cash shop happy selves. |

So let me get this straight? EVERYTHING that you buy with crowns can also be bought with gold? if that's the case then I don't have a problem with it. |
|
|
What a rip off. Pay 10 dollars a month to subscribe and still not have full access to everything in the game. The game is fun but if you want me to fork out 10 dollars a month to pay, which I don't mind doing, you better not also expect me to fork out more cash to buy crowns in order to buy certain items, weapons, armor, and pets. Total scam as far as I'm concerned. |

I feel the same way to an extent about the community, but it's pretty easy to ignore people and find a few good apples in a bad crowd. Not saying the crowd will be bad, but there are always both mature and immature people in MMOs. I would say you will have WAY more kids joining in OB compared to CB, so I wouldn't use CB as an example as to what the community will be like totally when the servers go up. But, like I said, I wouldn't fear it too much because even if 75% of a community is poor you really only need to find a good few people out of the other 25% to enjoy your stay in a game. |
