[Preview] WildStar: Unveiling the Dominion and Stalker Class
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 2/14/13 7:52:59 AM
As far as "Dominion" is concerned not very original. Ironic that the Dominion's Order concept has been used since Angels of Fasaria Browser based game (2004), Fasaria World (2009) and Ancients of Fasaria (2013). Either a common concept or irony.

Just out of curiosity which game do you like more now, wow or g2? Also, which game do you find yourself playing more often and why? It seems as if you enjoy both but I wouldn't mind hearing a "non" bias opinion of each game compared to the other.

Boring, Sophmoric, Tries Too Hard to be "Different"
Beta Weekend Event Reviews & Impressions (Archived) « Guild Wars 2 7/23/12 12:02:38 AM
Honestly to tell you the truth, I would respect a half way decent review are complaint from: 1. Someone who actually purchased the game. 2. Someone who ate least got to level 30 and couldn't take playing the game any further. Someone who purchases the game shows they aren't just a spectator or trolling. Also, someone who both purchased the game and got to somewhere like level 30, shows they have enough experience to properly examine and comment about how well or bad the game is so far. I once reviewed WoW at level 30 and changed my review at level 60, 70, 80 and 85. Anyone who says WoW sucks and doesn't have at least one level 60 toon hadn't experienced enough of that massive world to even give a proper review. I feel no different about GW2 or any other mmorpg. Purchase the game and level to at least half of the level maximum before writing your complaint or review.

Let this topic die. I would have at least respected the fact that the OP plays or played the game. |

Originally posted by SuperXero89 I agree. It is what it should be and it isn't much more than what I would expect. It just isn't what I had "hoped" for. The game plays fine and is quite fun up to level 27-30 before it starts to fade a bit. The game isn't bad at all, the bashing is not waranted at all. For a subscribtion based game it just lacks enough fun factor to keep players paying a monthly fee to play. Making it F2P would kill it for me so I hope they find a better way to maintain their player base. |

Why the new video on HK-51 Shows that SWTOR is not in peril...
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 7/19/12 1:35:24 AM
It isn't about how much is invested into the game, it's about the game itself. SWtoR has a large support base and I even still play it every so often but for a sub based P2P mmorpg, it will not hold my interest for now with GW2, D3 and a few other games out (no subs required). To OP: I don't think a video at this point has anything to do with this game's future...

Diablo 3: Item Hunt is Not Enough, Devs Admit
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 7/05/12 2:38:28 PM
Originally posted by Z3R01 I see the point you are trying to make but consider your comparison is strictly to be compared with D2 (an amazing accomplishment by Blizzard). Titan's Quest, Dungeon Siege, Torch Light and Dungeons and Dragons are the few decent dungeon crawlers we can compare to and most are one player experiences that many who have played have played through once (not including expansions). Titan's Quest had online multiplayer options that was awesome but for the most part underappreciated by the gaming community. I don't expect D3 to be D2 but even in spite of that, D3 has surpassed my expectations hands down. I don't expect games to "hook" me anymore (old school gamer). I simply expect it to be good enough for me to complete at least once (even mmorpgs). If a game is good enough to keep me coming back after I've completed it either with end game features, pvp or harder levels, it's all good. D3 does that. If some players want more, fine, it would be nice to get added features and a highly perfected, tweaked game experience... But come on, D3 is currently the best non sub multiplayer scratch that satisfies that looting itch. I'm more than happy with it. Can't wait to see an expansion. *PS: I like some of your ideas for "improving" D3 but I don't believe it is broken at all. The other suggestion would be some way to create a fresh high level character once you reach the level cap. Having to go through the tedious job of leveling through the normal levels can be a bit much. Maybe one new character that starts at level 40 per each character you get to level 60. This would also help the game progression for those who want to start a new character at a harder level. If they increase the cap to level 99, this would be a nice addition. |
