What's the difference between the trial and the real deal?

I mean, should I just go ahead and buy it? Or is the trial just as good,  I was checking out the website having trouble determining the difference.  Help me out :D

Don't mind dropping $40 if it's a cool game!

The trial limits you to the first area only, Levels 1-8. There are 2 versions you can buy, the single player version where you have access to the entire game as a single player (rpg) and multiplayer mode where you will have access to the entire game as a mmorpg. Either one you buy requires a one time payment (no monthly fees).

As far as "Dominion" is concerned not very original. Ironic that the Dominion's Order concept has been used since Angels of Fasaria Browser based game (2004), Fasaria World (2009) and Ancients of Fasaria (2013). Either a common concept or irony.

Ancients of Fasaria is a futuristic, fantasy online experience where you unravel the mystery behind an illusive force threatening Fasaria and her 3 moons. Journey between worlds as you build your character, populate your space station, collect tribute from your fleet, earn rare items and defeat challenging foes.

Single player or multiplayer mmorpg.

Ancients of Fasaria is a based upon the mmorpg Fasaria World that was released March 27th 2009.

Just out of curiosity which game do you like more now, wow or g2? Also, which game do you find yourself playing more often and why? It seems as if you enjoy both but I wouldn't mind hearing a "non" bias opinion of each game compared to the other.

Honestly to tell you the truth, I would respect a half way decent review are complaint from:

1. Someone who actually purchased the game.

2. Someone who ate least got to level 30 and couldn't take playing the game any further.

Someone who purchases the game shows they aren't just a spectator or trolling. Also, someone who both purchased the game and got to somewhere like level 30, shows they have enough experience to properly examine and comment about how well or bad the game is so far. I once reviewed WoW at level 30 and changed my review at level 60, 70, 80 and 85. Anyone who says WoW sucks and doesn't have at least one level 60 toon hadn't experienced enough of that massive world to even give a proper review. I feel no different about GW2 or any other mmorpg.

Purchase the game and level to at least half of the level maximum before writing your complaint or review.

Let this topic die. I would have at least respected the fact that the OP plays or played the game.

1. WoW - 8 years
2. PSO (Phantasy Star Online + v2 and Episodes I & 2) - 4 years (tied with SWG)
3. GW - 3 years
4. Warhammer - 7 months
5. Star Wars: The Old Republic - 5 months

This makes comlete sense. Its all the amazing new ftp games that killed swtor, not the fact that the game is a pile of hot garbage.

Reality check, if this game was ok, not even great or good, just ok it would have been fine. But it was shallow copy paste single player garbage that was made for wow players, showing complete disrespect for the fans that got it funded in the first place. Best of all tes is doing the exact same thing.

Judging by your quote, I am guessing you expected SWG v2.0? SWGEmu is thataway --->

SWTOR is great for those who knew what to expect. It's horrible for the folks who thought it was the next greatest Sandbox MMO, and people looking to roleplay a wookie jedi, artisan brawler Sith Emperor.

If anyone thought it was going to be a sandbox mmo, then they didnt do any research beforehand.

And yet to this day people still criticize SW:TOR more for what it isn't than what it is.

SW:TOR has problems, but you rarely hear people talking about them.  I'd be willing to bet that the majority of the whiners didn't even play long enough to comment on issues within the game itself.  Rather all you hear is the game doesn't have this or the game should have had that.  Nevertheless, SW:TOR is exactly what the developers promised it would be.

It's not perfect, and it needs work if it wants to survive for the long haul, but the base game is as it should be.

I agree. It is what it should be and it isn't much more than what I would expect. It just isn't what I had "hoped" for. The game plays fine and is quite fun up to level 27-30 before it starts to fade a bit.

The game isn't bad at all, the bashing is not waranted at all. For a subscribtion based game it just lacks enough fun factor to keep players paying a monthly fee to play. Making it F2P would kill it for me so I hope they find a better way to maintain their player base.

It isn't about how much is invested into the game, it's about the game itself.  SWtoR has a large support base and I even still play it every so often but for a sub based P2P mmorpg, it will not hold my interest for now with GW2, D3 and a few other games out (no subs required).

To OP: I don't think a video at this point has anything to do with this game's future...

D3, AoF, SWtoR.

GW2 on release.

Still play Skyrim offline.

The game is even better than I expected and for good reason.

1. This isn't a real mmorpg. It is a one player RPG that happens to have multiplayer features. For such a game they have done an awesome job.

2. No monthly fees although you can play online at anytime with other players, you never have to spend a dime on subs.

3. Auction house doesn't kill the loot system. I actually have a great time selling my useless gear for gold and then putting the best useless gear up for auction. The extra gold I get allows me to get a few rare pieces in the auction house but most of my good gear are earned in game. I can't imagine spending real cash for gear, lol, (but good luck to those who do).

4. Most RPGs or dungeon crawlers are only meant to be played through once. Blizzard created a dungeon crawler that can be played years to come and they are trying hard to make it a game to return to over and over again even now. D3 was and is more than worth the money I paid for the game and then some. I have no idea what some players are crying about.

*It would be nice to include some type of PVP system that earns you honor that leads to exclusive gear but that might be a bit much to ask for.

Highlighted in Orange.

No they are not. The action Rpg is known for high replayability with its higher difficulties, Procedurally generated content and constent item farming. Do you think it took players 10+ years to get through Diablo 2? They made hundreds of characters, farmed epic rare loot and played on the highest difficulties.

I see the point you are trying to make but consider your comparison is strictly to be compared with D2 (an amazing accomplishment by Blizzard). Titan's Quest, Dungeon Siege, Torch Light and Dungeons and Dragons are the few decent dungeon crawlers we can compare to and most are one player experiences that many who have played have played through once (not including expansions). Titan's Quest had online multiplayer options that was awesome but for the most part underappreciated by the gaming community.

I don't expect D3 to be D2 but even in spite of that, D3 has surpassed my expectations hands down. I don't expect games to "hook" me anymore (old school gamer). I simply expect it to be good enough for me to complete at least once (even mmorpgs). If a game is good enough to keep me coming back after I've completed it either with end game features, pvp or harder levels, it's all good. D3 does that. If some players want more, fine, it would be nice to get added features and a highly perfected, tweaked game experience... But come on, D3 is currently the best non sub multiplayer scratch that satisfies that looting itch. I'm more than happy with it. Can't wait to see an expansion.

*PS: I like some of your ideas for "improving" D3 but I don't believe it is broken at all. The other suggestion would be some way to create a fresh high level character once you reach the level cap. Having to go through the tedious job of leveling through the normal levels can be a bit much. Maybe one new character that starts at level 40 per each character you get to level 60. This would also help the game progression for those who want to start a new character at a harder level. If they increase the cap to level 99, this would be a nice addition.
