I most certainly WILL NOT resubscribe to AoC ever again. 2 months was more than enough that I have played it (1 month was even free).

With that, I expect that The Secret World, as well as any other title that FunCom will publish is doomed to fail because of their "great work" on AoC...

Too bad you didn't participate in the beta that much. If you did, and read the beta forum, as well as checked here, you'd find my reply on the topic where I quoted both the commuminy manager (Ayase) and a GM .

Basically it comes down that agains botters, RMT's and exploiters they will use a zero-tollerance policy. If you get caught, your account (not only the Aion account, but your whole PlayNC account) will be banned permanently.

Aion also has a bot-button as Lineage II has. So when you see someone botting, report ;)

Like you, I've had the same concerns, but in all 3 beta events, they (CM / GM) stated the zero-tollerance policy, so I keep my hopes up ;)

I'm waiting for the release of Aion, and have canceled my current game subscriptions, since those don't appeal anymore since I've played Aion in beta events (heck, I even blew up my +6 Sword of Ipos in Lineage II)
But boredom is striking, and I'm looking for a nice MMORPG to kill the time till the release of Aion...

So I'm looking for a game that has the following:
No Realm vs Realm (I'll have enough of that with Aion) but with PvP
Descent graphics (no problem it it's cartoonish)
Nice quests and story line
Deep crafting
Pet system (have a level 65 great Wolf in Lineage II)
No forced race/class combo's
No purchase cost of the game (monthly donation is no problem)

Games I don't want to play (in case you'll recommend them):
Age of Conan
Warhammer (I know, RvR)
GuildWars

Please suggest a game and I'll give it a try ;)

If you really skip the dialogs and go straight for the quest goals, I'd suggest you'd take a better look at the following games:

Ether Saga online
Jade Dynasty

For both games you don't have to do a thing, skip the dialogs, go to the quest-log, double click on the quest and it even walks you there!

I'm married for 11 years now, and we didn't have real trouble with me playing every day of the week (weekdays I play around 3-4 hours, weekends around 6-8 hours). Okay, my wife has some issues once in a while, but I don't give a sh*t about tv (most things broadcasted are plain crap or reruns - now during summer mostly reruns), and she gives a sh*t about MMOs.

Yes, we spend a lot of time together (also with our son, who's playing MMOs as well BTW). We don't grow apart because we have different interests here, but what's the point of watching TV when there's nothing there you like..? Better spend your time the way you like..

If your wife really has issues with you playing MMOs, talk with her about it, You could also bring up that some things she wants you to do is of no interrest to you...

When you sign up on the host's site, and they ask you for system information (which they mostly do), you should always include a your complete system info. I've read somewhere that if applicants don't enter any, or complete information, they'll be skipped on the invite list for sure...

Earlier, NCSoft made an announce by e-mail that CB4 would be the last, and that on august 14 the 1st OB would start, and 2 weeks later the 2nd OB. Now that NCsoft has scheduled more CB's, most likely, the OB's will berescheduled as well. This will make it very hard to make the release of september 25 (and september 20 for early access)...

Gratz on Supreme in Jewerly. I know from presonal experience it's pretty hard to get there on Jewelry.

And it doesn't take a nerd to love crafting. You ebviously have dorf-blood in your veins. It's all there: the love for crafting and beautiful jewels :D

I recieved the email for that 10 days as well. I'm still not sure if I should take the time and effort to re-install WAR and give it an other try. I'm afraid it'll be the same letdown as AoC had with the 30-day free key I still had...

I still had a one-month-free key around that I won a while back. I used it, checked the game, and saw nothing more than same shit, different day.

FunCom sais to have fixed a lot of issues, but things like huge overhead of the game, lag and unstable FPS are still there. BEfore you as, that was last week, so I did see that latest "fix all problems" patch...

Looks like the king si about to be kicked from it's throne :D

Seriously... With China putting a ban on the RMT, this is only the beginning. Next, most of the Chinese accounts will be dropped on EU/US servers, and Blizzard will have 2.5M subs. Still a huge number, and IMO a more accurate one for actual active players/

With that, I think other games will follow with dropping subs. I've heard form my friends who still play Lineage II, the RMT spam is changed. It used to be to buy in-game currrency. With the Chinese law prohibiting that, they now offer time-cards for in-game money *wonders what they'll do with the gained in-game money*

Registered players mean crap. Hell, I'm registered. You know how many times I've logged in? At the 1 million, 2 million, and 3 million mark. Just to get the free crap. That's 3 times. Haven't spent a dime and haven't ever left the first area.

I actually have spent 3 hours there, just to give it a try, and to make a comparisation with FusionFall.

FreeRealms comes basically down to one thing: Lots of mini-games that you can play anywhere on the web. This time with a bit better graphics. Your reward..? Skillpoints in one of the few (free!) jobs you get.

Wanna get really into battle..? Can be done - just pay that phucking $5 a month and you can make a warrior or wizzard. BRUHAHAHA

As said with the 3M registered player counter. I believe that number immediately. Now please show us the number of players that have spent more than 20 hours a week in the game over the last 3 weeks... I hope you'll hit 500K
