12/21/12 What is the Last Game You Will Ever Play?
General Gaming « General Discussion 12/03/12 10:43:47 PM
If the end were actually approaching and for whatever reason I was forced to play a video game as my last rememberence on this earth I guess I would go back to where it all started. I'd plug in the Nintendo and fire up Super Mario Bros.

If you could travel back in time and tell the Pre-AoC-Beta "You" something about AoC, what would you tell yourself?

"Don't do it you idiot! It's a trap just like Warhammer was. This game is crap - Trust me! Take that 50 bucks you're about to waste, go to Pig Al's - get a lap dance, get wasted and then wake up tomorrow and forget about this game completely."

Whats some of the most interesting (NON HUMAN / NON ANIMALNOID) Playable Races in your MMORPG experience ?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/05/11 7:18:16 PM
Well considering Humanoid = something that has an appearance resembling a human being. You'd be hard-pressed to find any considering I dont think I've ever played an mmo where each race didnt have legs, arms and a head etc... oooh maybe eve or perpetuum? |

Looking for something to play for 6 months...
General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 5/03/11 11:17:22 PM
Would this be a good fit? I'm basically waiting on the new MMO's to launch (Guild wars 2 and SWTOR) and would like something to keep my interest until then. Are a lot of people still playing this? Would it be possible to reach endgame and have some fun within a 6 month time-frame? |

Cataclysm end game : A whole lot of meh

Cataclysm end game : A whole lot of meh
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 3/28/11 5:27:17 PM
You can really tell that this time around the development team spent 98% of their resources on improving the noob game and ignoring the endgame. Not only that but it's becoming abundantly clear that a large portion of the development team has moved on to focusing their efforts on Blizzards next big game. Take armor models for example. On my druid I went from 80-85, upgrading my armor about 3 times. With each upgrade my shoulders, helm and pretty much every other piece looked exactly the same. When I reached 80 I took a look at the JP rewards and heroic dungeon gear and ... whats this? The exact same armor model as what I'm wearing right now?? WTF is the point of grinding heroics? I digress. Another example: "Heroics are hard because we want the game to be harder for hardcores". No... Heroics are hard because you want the content to last a lot longer. Instead of being able to run 2 heroics in a night, you want me to spend the same amount of time running 1 heroic. Basically more effort for less reward. Stretching the content out more. Example 3: The return of Zul Aman! ... are you effing kidding me? Not only are they re-using the same armor models from 2 years ago; Theyre just going to re-use the whole bloody dungeon. /rant |

Have MMORPGs progressed at all over the last 7 years?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/07/11 8:00:09 PM
I honestly dont know why theres been such little innovation over the past few years. Every time an ammo is released I think to myself "Nice it looks kind of like WoW but better!" Then I try it and think to myself after a few days "Why bother with all of this grindy questing and leveling when I already have 10 level 80's in another game that's pretty much the exact same if only slightly different "? And inevitebly find myself playing WoW again... |
