"What is life if not a series of half eaten pizzas?" |
"If I'm required to know the back history of 5 clans, or watch 20 minutes of cinematics, or read a website before I can have fun," I'm sorry but I cannot remember one game that REQUIRES you to read to play the game. It's always optional to read it or not to read it. Misinformation like this tends me to believe that this might be another game of false promises. Great first impression. -Syloc |

When in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout. |
Though I could be wrong, I believe that he used the word "required" within the same context as "you're required to get LOOT X,Y,Z to compete with the twinks".
You're not actually required to compete with twinks at all but it's perceived to be true because they're rampaging through the content, or because guilds require characters to have loot from Uber Dungeon, or because people won't group with your character because you have n00b gear, and so on. You could easily go through the game at a merry pace and accumulate items as any new character would, but that would kind of suck and/or would be pretty dull. Therefor, most perceive it as a "requirement" to compete with the twinks, even though technically it is not a requirement. My take on his comment is that he used the word "required" in much the same way. Sure you don't HAVE to, but the game could be pretty dull if you don't know what's going on. Some titles simply do not explain enough within the game. Don't take his comments too literally. :) Of course, I could be wrong. ~Mysk |

Well beside the semantics of the whole thing the whole "bashing of other mmos cause mine is better" and then describing how he's going to use an ingame advertisement system... doesn't sound too hot.

Violence has an unfair stigma in games thanks to Take 2 with their dishonesty when questioned "is there adult content in your game?". I like this comment because it stuck me as utterly absurd. What mother or father would buy GTA game with any kind of delsusions about what kind of game it is? Just to be clear, violence had always been acceptable for games, while sexual references are not. Insuinuating Take 2 or anyone else making violent games is responsable for some non-existent 'stigma' is a pretty silly idea. We don't live in the TV Dave, we watch it. |

Ehh... Well the Advertising is optional and you dont have to watch stupid adds if you dont want to as David said. And i could say that if the game is free to play there must be something else to support it like Advertising. 97% agreed with it in the forums cause there is a price for keeping it on and thats better exp. And The Game is Free To Play if you understand what the text saids.... Oh well what should i care, i just had to post a reply for this because it annoyed me and i hope other ppl wont get the wrong idea by reading that post :P I really think this game is going to Rock! |

Unfortunately it happens some parents are completely oblivious to what their kids play and the "unfair stigma" that David i presume is refering to is companies like Take 2 that when asked how violent or adult oriented their game was and respond that there is little or no violence and release a very violent game give ALL game companies a bad rap like David said nowadays game companies have to be upfront about their games content as well as the "the violent game made me do it" that is constantly used when a kid goes and kills someone or gets into trouble with the law then everyone says "well there should'nt be any violence in games" which is why we have a rating system for games now which suprise surprise most parents don't pay attention to their kid says "I want this game" and they go out and buy it for them with out even looking to see what kind of game it is so yes there is a "stigma" against violent games |

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king - LAST OF THE MOHICANz |
This guy has struck gold with pushing the concept of gaming forward - advertising in-game - fine by me if I level up quicker and more so if i like the product being advertised (other games?). The mmo is an industry still in the dark ages and anything to break it out of its donkey kong mode has to be good! Sadly the game sounds pretty awful. Survey says - class system not as good as skill system...and yet another fantasy class core game structure yawn! Survey says - Asian conversions to Western market are always terrible - Archlord any one lol storyline sounds like a big cliche. If the target market is adult then let's up the game mechanics. I would play this game if sex and violence were uber explicit purely for the novelty factor. If it is GTA level then yawn...i know 6 yr old girls that play GTA. Otherwise 2Moons does nothing for me (apart from the advertising element). I sound very critical but as a consumer it is only fair I speak my mind. I will still keep an eye on this one in the hope it has some more USP. |

Um, you can't lose...
The game will be free to check out and free to play (with Adverts turned on). So um.... Aside from the extra gore/violence and new advert system, it doesn't sound like anything new. But heck it still might be fun, and you can't go wrong with FREE to play :) |
