AL hasn't even been released for 1 year in korea yet. the game WAS a pay to play game, but because of the low quality support from NHN games, they lost a lot of players and the game had no choice but to go free to play. |

Yeah, thats correct. I'm not sure about Archlord China ( I think its still in Beta), but Archlord korea went from pay to play to free to play.like I said, it was the low quality customer support that made the game go free to play. the game was fine, it was just NHN games that gave bad support. In Korea, there are litterly hundreds of MMORPG's, so changing MMO is not such a big deal there, and a game that has 1 million subscribers one day can have only 200k subscribers the next day. thats how it works there. we get Codemasters, so the support shouldn't be a problem, hence the game will be pay to play here. |

Everyone needs to remember the lesson that Horizons taught us. There is no miracle patch that will fix a game with 2 weeks left to launch. If you actually believe that lie...then you deserve to lose money. And if I was in Open Beta with 2 weeks to release, then yes I'd draw a pretty good conclusion that the game will be very close to it's current state come release time. Bashing people for judging a game in open beta because they are drawing conclusions during their time testing it is utterly moronic. Open beta is used for two things: Stress test and Public attention...if there are still glaring bugs then this game either will push (good thing) or will launch in a slightly better state then it's currently in now...it won't be much improved. |

http://www.archlordsource.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=99 let me point out some important parts: "We still have plenty of time to make changes so players should not assume they are seeing the final version" How we treat patches in BETA and on a LIVE service differ greatly. Players shouldn’t forget that this is BETA, where possible we will always advise players of known changes that are going into the patch and are working closely with NHN to get detailed patch notes." As codemasters has PROVEN the last couple of days, they can and WILL make changes to the game in open beta. they lately made quite a lot of changes..IN open beta. Codemasters has proven that open beta is MORE then just promotion and stress test to them |

Sorry GL, David Bowman said the same thing. This industry full of liars who like to spin things their way. I'm not bashing ArchLord, but warning you not to blind yourself....I believed everything David Bowman said also.

True, but I'm not talking about people talking. Codemaster DID patch and change the game in open beta a few days ago, and made lots of changes to the game. |

For the first time ever on these forums, I have to agree with Gameloading. The O.P., and several posts after, are nothing more than complaining rants. If the O.P. is a review, then that stuff written on the wall in the mens room is poetry. Let the game actually be released and then start whining about the bugs. |
The result are either very bad luck, or the patch is broken. Average drop rate is up around 3% than normal , potion drop rate is up around 1%, while I might not be awake or feeling the best the last few days , I have seen movies of those people who use to love the game and thier average drops. We also have a major problem with enchantments , you can now kill a weapon with over 70% failure on stones , prayers , and reinforcement pots. We ask CSR about the "this weapon physical is 11" every which way , the weapon would reset itself at +8 damage (and blow up a purple weapon more than a few times at +3) also completely ruin a weapon with destorying slots and stones. The reason for this , I believe is that Codemasters main focus is around the Item Mall , it the only way to get decent damage , decent xp and sometimes decent gold. Personally I feel as many even the diehard fans within our group , that Codemasters has no ability to direct NHN to produce a patch without destroying the game or making it a Eastern clone. CSR is terrible , growing worst every day , the only reason I stick around the boards is to help answer newbies questions. I get couple emails a day , from people , most people who are new that dont understand why Codemaster does the ciricle jerk thing when trying to ask questions.
