I just resently have noticed RV, I havent played but have researched, as a SWG vet(ex vet), I am loving what Im hearing as far as core game values, and may get a copy when I get my Comp fixed and bury this craptop.

Its very refreshing to see your post on a off site forum, and rare. I do agree with the peeps who are complaining, They do seem to have legit reasons. However I have been lost for a MMO since SWG fell.

In my searching I came to the conclusion that all MMOs seem to be the same crap just different skins, they seem to have no vision (unless you count business model ripoffs). I can only see change coming from a small company whos bold enough to not max profits and stand behind their vision.

I understand lifes a bitch then you die as do most people, your honesty and explainations was very refreshing, even in the face of absolute flaming. SOE would be working as intended and continue violating every oriface with ruthless conviction.

I just wanted to let you know people do notice "the little things" and I hope you never forget that, If you get the bugs out, this game will take SWGs niche customers whom RV should market too once its smoothed out.

You may consider a disclaimer on your site explaining the current state of the game and the gameplay is free while in this state, most people have been raped by game makers. SOE lol, I really hate them, but honesty will take someone far with most peeps, we all make mistakes we just dont all admit them (we Should)

I dont mean to go as far as responding to every post or kissing flagerant ass, just to know people truely care about their product and are on top of it, is stranglely rare.

So thank you agian... Ill be watching RVs progression from what I see it looks like a game thats outside the box and in the mind. A game this complex will always require attention and is more art than game, all the staff deserves a pat on the back and a kick in the ass lol.

Just dont let the flamers keep you down, there are alot of us who admire what your doing just be mindful of communicating and letting us know what near future plans for fixing major issues and thats all anyone can really ask

Not to worry, I don't get worked up becaue of what people say online.  Difficult to invest that much emotion into something so easily done as type a few insulting words. 

I'll bring up the "disclaimer" idea you have here to see if the guys think it's needed, though the largest complaint of lag was greatly minimized earlier this week, and with the new patch coming out very soon I think we'll see people who left coming back.

I was going to say a ok article based on their communication until ofc the you put down the word "flamers".

Personally i think before you call those who kept their money to buy a sub standard product "flamers" you should have shown your support as we did initally by buying the game.

Considering how much you hate SoE for SWG .I doubt you would be happy if someone who never bought or played SWG would write an article and say "SoE don't let those FLAMERS let you down you are doing your best have some encouragement".

If you wish to kiss ass thats fine and dandy with me.But don't go around calling customers that PAID  for the game(again something you have not done)  flamers.

If there's a definition of flamer, hercules is it.

at least i don't go around selling a sub standard faulty product as "in working order" as you did.

And the fact the game has very few and poor reviews ,is sitting near bottom on the rating list here below http://www.tibia.com shows what most people think of your overhype of a faulty product .

Ok  see your point, however it was SWG then is now NGE so a completely different situation, With info provided you should have known what you were getting into.

I used flamer just as the standard term, not to offend you. I agree the game should havent been released in this state and will suffer maybe even fail because of it.

BUT hell at least they are admitting problems and showing patch plans and explaining.

2 years of paying SOE and all my in game items some took a HELLA lota work to get all gone in one day in place I get a complete turd that just sinks to the bottom and heres their feedback.....

There will be no rollbacks or pre-NGE servers. This has been covered too many times to be considered current game play discussion. Please do not repost this topic or we will be forced to take actions against your account.

Erm no when i bought the game i was not told that over 1 month i would have to try to log in for 2  hours to run into a slowdown in 5 mins that requires a reboot and try logging again for 2 hours.

I was told that there be a graphics update.I was not told about the missing features.I was not told it used a choppy engine .

So  dunno where you come with this statement we knew what we were getting into.Who would buy a product that could not play for more then 1 month eh?

And oh if you want to talk about knowing what you get into then you did in SWG because its in the EULA!!!!!

It states content and chars are sole property of SoE and subject to change.So if they decided to make all players wear fairy pink outfit and become dancers they have the right.Yes it will lose them all clients but they can and you agreed in the EULA.

So in effect we knew less of what we are getting into then you did in SWG as it never stated this game will be unplayable for over a month with missing features in any eula .

You will never see me come to SWG board and scream the SWG devs are doing a great job because they messed up many fans(only post you would see from me is saying SoE devs did a good job with EQ series NOT SWG).If you frequent the SWG for a while you would know i became unhappy with the direction of the SWG since the first jedis appeared and quit shortly after that.

SWG messed up and so did RV  just in 2 different ways and i would defend neither of them.

And you got every right to complain seems alot like DnLs opening, Too many MMOs do this.

I sure dont think its wise to launch in shabby shape, seems to be common to MMOs in a attempt to generate cash flow ASAP (even though it seems like it would hurt more in market share overall).

BUT

I was saying I liked the core value of game and the communation vs SOEs working as intended

By no means am I praising launching a borked title of any kind. (seems to be a industry standard in MMOs)

All I was saying is I really like the scope of the design, No levels ,complex crafting, .....well sure you know Ralphs MMO vision. Seems to be on par all I was complimenting and encouraging.

Currently no MMO offer this ,its all same crap different skin, get quest, bang bang, loot. Those games cost less and are easier to make and attract more people so Ill encourage anything outside instant gratifaction and point and click gameplay.
