EVE is original. EVE has a great dev team. EVE has political action that is unmatched. EVE has mass PVP. EVE has small group PVP. EVE has great lore. EVE has the best crafting system which drives primary, secondary and tertiary markets and production. EVE has player controlled regions and EVE can be played casually. Ofcourse it got an 8.4. It deserves it hands down. It might not be the game you like but lets face it. In today's era of cookie cutter EQ knock offs and vaporware EVE stands alone at the top of quality. Make a difference!

Its just the only space flight simulator thats a mmorpg. EVE IS NOT A GOOD GAME. I dont care if im banned for this, and dont make the remark that iam a carebear cause i played and loved old school UO which is more hardcore then your nightmares. EVE is a horrible game. Im bringin sexy back.

Theo, I've stared at that picture you posted for a good 5 minutes now and from what I can tell it is a leprechaun holding a pool cue standing next to a floating turkey that has a small flag sticking out of its ass. You haven't played UO. Infact, i don't think you've played anything. Everything you say have to be taken with a grain of salt, since you're nothing but an petty liar. EVE IS infact an good game. It's an -niche- market game though. The fact that EVE's population continues to rise, and the fact that they yesterday broke their User-online-at-the-same-time record(Went from 26xxx-28020) says something. The fact that so many actually enjoy the gameplay, the fact that you can loose months of works by being a fool(Heck, the most expensive ships takes.. what? 6 weeks to craft? 6.000 man hours to haul all the components? And is not, in any way, immortal). As soon as you enter 0.0, it gets really scary. You can get squeezed between alliance wars, ganked, gate camped, or just plain out eliminated by an POS. The skill system, ofcourse, goes slow. But when it comes to the PvP/PvE, EVE is in fact very similar to Guildwars skill system. By that, i mean - Pick a role, then customise a ship for it. Big doesn't equal better, and even an 2 day old Character can be usefull in an epic clash among huge alliances(Scrambler+Webifier=You ain't going anyway). But it's not for everyone, and most likely not for you mr I'm-L20-L2-is-cool/next-day-i'm-L10-And-L2-Sucks-Sooooo-Bad.

EVE is a nice game, but it definitly does not deserve to be the highest rated game. it lacks in too many areas. PVE, for example. completely ruined.

When did i say EVE can do no wrong? Are you a bozo? There are plenty of bugs and plenty of room for improvement. I'm sure theres a list on the EVE-Online forums. Theres a very rich story line. A story line that has a huge past and is ever changing with action from the players as well. You never have to fight for survival. Anyone can survive in empire. You fight for your friends. You fight for fun. I'm sure english isn't your first language but i think if you wandered over to the EVE site and started reading the lore you'd like it. The majority of people prefer simplistic games. Look at how big pong was. How do you have to be aware in Guildwars? Is someone going to uncloak, warp scramble you and try to kill you before you can react? I don't think so. Is someone going to bring 200 players into your home system throw up warp bubbles and trap you for 2 weeks while strangling the life from your alliance? No i don't think so. But hey you can go enter that arena and toss some spells at each other... Man thats intense and in WoW you can enter another instance and climb a little bit higher up on that rankings ladder. Man thats awesome. I'm glad you can get some gratification out of such a simplistic platform. The majority of people like simple games. They don't want to think. It's the same as life in general as far as that goes. Deal with it.. Lemming. Make a difference!

If you're in the relatively safe areas then what you said might be true. But the moment you enter a low secuity system, 0.0 space, or enter a corp war then everything you said just went out the window b/c anything less than constant vigilence and 100% attentiveness will cost you days, if not weeks, worth of work.

Anyway about the EVE rating, I was impressed because I expected it to be lower because of people like the retards I've seen posting about flight sims and that they'd be looking over their back more in Guild Wars. And you seam to be the only person giveing decent awnsers that make sences! Ok i accept half of the things you say but when your dis-ing wow and gw please have some knowledge of the game! you said in wow you enter instances and try and climb the ladder ! What ladder? the guild ladder is in guild wars ! And saying you dont have to think in guild wars is like saying eve is'nt a space game! Guild wars is a team based game warriors need the healers healers need the warriors necro's need the ritualists to self kill your spirits and creat minions Guild wars is a very tactical game to good players! EVE has next to no thinking in its vp its just sit and watch!
