Yes, I would. It would take alot of swallowed pride, I've said some things in forums about SOE that could be construed as 'immovable hatred', but the truth is I'm jealous of the people who like the NGE. I was never a Jedi, but the things I was able to do in pre-CU SWG with my character were ground-breaking to me, and I have never, ever recaptured that same type of recognition and immersion in any other MMO I've ever played.

The main reason I could stomache SOE's presentation of a Pre-CU server is because it would be very low on their list of priorties, I would think. Let's say LA forces Sony to put up the server, I would think that the pre-CU would then be treated as an afterthought, (unless server pop and customer demand forcasted growth) and so, I would get what I have always wanted for the past two years *Gimmee a pre-CU server and leave me alone*...heh

Nope... time to move on.

Now, if they came out with a whole new swg (ie updated graphics, richer questlines) but left the sandbox aspect of the game alone and kept the original 32 professions, let me place my house whereever i want... etc etc.. just like pre cu... oh hell ya... I'd have 4 other games to cancel.

Yup.  Even though I don't like SOE, I would go back.  I have bounced around between other MMORPGs for the last 5 months and none had the appeal that SWG did.

Dunno maybe depends. Probably not then again maybe. Naaahhh i wouldnt although now you ask i might.

And i stick firmly by that.

Very reasonable. You are not afraid that they would change it all again or drop service for some insane made up reason? I have to say I loved the old game but I just can't trust these guys to keep their word about anything.

No really, if SOE had new management from the top down to the SWG project, then I would probably play a Pre-CU server supported by them.

I said maybe because:

I would come back to play on pre-CU servers only if SOE kept them that way and fixed the bugs. (Not including balance issues and problems that were caused by the actual game mechanics of the time)

However, I doubt SOE would do that even if they did start pre-CU servers.
