EA is partly responsible for killing UO off, their track record isn't squeaky clean either. |

As a former Earth and Beyond player I just want to offer my condolences to those of you who play and enjoy DAOC. Enjoy it now cause as soon as EA takes over things, it's going to be runied. Just for reference here is EA's MMO track record: Motor City Online Earth and Beyond Ultima Online The Sims Online Sorry I know how you feel, I've been there. |

Not a joke. But it's not all bad. EA has a hell of a reputation for MMOs, sure, but they've got a few good devs under their belt that they've apparantly treated well. What'll determine DAoC and WAR's fate is how greedy EA gets for the success of Warhammer. Take a wait and see approach. It'll be evident how things are going for Mythic post-takeover in Q2 '07. Plenty of game time to be had until then. |

Warhammer and DAoC are screwed, because I guarantee you their sole reason for purchasing Mythic is getting a big ol' slice of that WoW/Vivendi pie.
I feel for you guys, I really do. WAR was like a miracle on the horizon to me, and now it's been almost completely squelched. |

Aw common guys, we cant just assume that DAoC and WAR are gonna be killed. Im sure the DEVs will be the same and evrything , it will be called EA Mythic, not just EA.

EA will be more like publisher and marketer for them, since Mythic has been using all the money to development. But yeah,hopefully they don't let them touch WAR and DAoC and don't make them rush WAR out.
It has been said all current employees of Mythic will stay. |
