Another idea that would make Eve more rich and interesting is that of mobile facilities.  Larger ships could equip components that are normally otherwise available on stations.  Examples:

Mobile recyclers.  A component (likely preferred by Support ships) that can take raw ore and turn it into minerals.  It would be more ineffecient than most stations (20-30%) and it would also be a process that takes time, rather than an instant one.

Mobile manufacturing facilities.  These would likely be highly specialized (weapons only, ships only, ect) and would also be more inefficient than the station versions.  However, due to their specialization they would be faster  (Otherwise, they probably would not see much use).  A carrier could be manufacturing fighters while 1-2 support ships manufacture weapons for the fighters and the fleet could replenish their supplies on the way to an operation and during an operation.  Combine this with the above and operations are very much possible in deep space without any stations nearby, as the fleet could be self-sufficient.

sort of.
Titans and motherships can allow you to fit a ship and can hold a ship hanger fully stocked as well.
but no construction.  here is how you do it though.

get a carrier or mothership or Titan.
put a small POS (personanly owned station)  tower inside with the fuel you need to keep it running along with the mineralst to make stuff with and the proper construction array.  (this is hard on a carrier only like 5k cargo)
motherships are said to have much larger corp hangers and cargo bays.

the bad part is if you are running a pos to do this your are using ICE to fuel it and if your using a mothership then your eating more ice to move it around.  the ICE overhead could really start to suck...

the way to do this in empire is to get a freighter and load your bps and minerals (compressed or otherwise)
into the freighter take it to a location with a marget for what your making and then make the product till you run out of minerals,  go get more minerals with the isk you made.

Yes quite true i guess thats why last year one of the devs cant remember which one hinted that there WILL be a capital class ORE ship so that should be interesting.
