You ended that sentence in a preposition, Bastard!

These virtual world chat rooms strike me as a haven for sexual preditors, pedophiles, socially rejected folks and complete psychos? In all of the posts I've ever seen regarding these worlds the psycho's outnumber and other type of poster 4/1.

I must say that I don't think all Virtual Worlds are bad. Many have nice social communities, There for example. I played Second Life long ago. I was a hard core member for 9 months actually. Then I switched to There and I am so thankful I did. I truly see what Second Life is now, nothing but a place for people who obviously are wacked. Second Life is childs play compared to There and I can not tell you how much better There really is. Second Life is full of people who have a bad sex fetis. The developers don't quite have brains either, they are wack-o's themselves pretty much. Thing is, anyone obsessed or even interest in Second Life has mental problems. I am not joking either, anyone who likes Second Life at all needs emergency attention!

But all those addicted to Second Life... (But do get better, for societies sake.)

There

The only limitation in There is your own imagination!

Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?

No, I am going to share There with the entire world! I invite you to join There too. Be part of an ever evolving and expanding online user built virtual world. You truly don't know what you are missing out on, but you can certainly find out! Then you'll enjoy There forever and know you made a difference. You'll know you helped build the future of the Metaverse and virtual worlds in general!

You need freaking help Joel. I suggest seeing a shrink to deal with your issues instead of trying to dictate your beliefs onto others.

Has successfully forgiven SOE/LA for the NGE.

That's a bit hypocritical Joel. To be a 'hardcore' non-stop player of There is acceptable, but of SL it's not? So I have mental problems because I sometimes log on to SL when I'm in the mood to build objects, or design items?

That's a rather stupid generalism to make. You might want to look in the mirror before you go prescribing 'emergency attention'. And what's wrong with people exploring sexual fantasies and fetishes in such a virtual environment, as long as they're not harming those not partaking? Consider that some people, say due to disability, are not able to partake in such things in real life. A virtual environment still gives them the possibility to explore the creativity, sexuality, whatever you want. That's a healthy thing I would say.

I've played There as well. It was crap.

It's quite possible this is true, but those people that society deems to have unsavoury/dangerous interests don't need an excuse like a virtual environment to indulge in their hobbies. I imagine even WoW has a fair share of such types.

Point being, SL, There, Sims, whatever, you'll find unsavoury individuals no matter where you look. Can anyone say 'church'?

As Chris Rock once quipped, "Whatever happened to just 'crazy'?"
