''Death isn''t the end, it''s just another path in life that we must all face.''-Random quoter |
SWG was such a great game before NCU/NGE. A game that used to be good but ruined. SOE or another company should start afresh and make a new SW universe. |

With the destruction of a once enjoyable game, $oe has lost all thier happy customers. Pre-cu, I was content to hang out in the cantinas, go exploring(with and without vehicles), participate in pvp when I wanted, and just play the game. I made a few friends, my brother played it and we all had a good time. I remember the good times of running around lost (first few days) and discovering Jabbas palace. When my bro came home from work I told him, " Dude fire up SWG and Read your mail." Within 25 mins he was standing outside Jabbas palace. He got into see it that day, I could not becuase of a negative jabba faction. Then we decided to roll out in the desert and ran across a krayt. Dear god I ran and ran and ran. My bro tried to fight it but was killed quickly. I finally ened up in wayfar adn tried to run back to Mos Espa but was killed and recloned there. This was fun. This was adventure. $oe singlehandly killed that fun. We tried the CU and played here and there but decided to not play after awhile. Then after 6 months and two expansions later, they dropped the NGE on the game. We both downloaded the trial and both went Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!!!!!! Lord have mercy what they done did to this here game? Since the trial (I played it for 4 hours and tried to like it but could not), I cannot believe this large pile of data excrement is still online as a pay to play game. $oe do us all a favor and shame the devil and tell the truth, "We have no clue what we are doing and have no idea where we are going with this product." Thats all I feel is approriate to say at this time. |

I think the best part is that with all the different forums that have this types of thread, we get to see "angry at SOE" always on the front page of this site as the most active or most recent topic. Wonderful PR for sony. :)

Another name to add to the SOE hate list. As I have posted before in other threads, this was the best game I had ever played - full stop. Not MMORPG, the best GAME. Granted I probably played it far more than any sane person should, averaging between 8-12 hours a day at one point (I was unemployed at the time), lol I even played for a 36 hour session once when I was doing the Knight Trials on my first Jedi. Ridiculous, but there you go - thats how good the game once was. Now it is utter rubbish. I didnt give the NGE a chance when it was launched as my guild (60+ people. Was a Dark Jedi Guild, only non-jedi were peoples alts really) were so annoyed about all our work and in-game credits (for instance I spent over 600 million credits on my 2 jedi suits with all the appropriate CA's, thats not to mention the countless millions spent on Krayt Pearls) being wasted that we all instantly cancelled and moved to another game. I didnt really enjoy the game we went to (CoV), so I left after 3 months and have since then been looking for another MMO to play. I have tried several, but none even come close to what Pre-CU SWG was like for me. So earlier this month I stupidly re-subbed to SWG for a month. OMG it is absolutely awful. My server (Bria) probably has about a sixth of the population it had Pre-CU and from what I have seen on the other servers that I have played around on over the past couple of weeks it is still the biggest population-wise. Bloodfin, Chilastra and Ahazi all have less than Bria but at least you see some people about the place, the rest that I looked at were totally devoid of players. The amazing thing is that the lag on Bria is even worse than before with a sixth of the poipulation playing, way to go SOE. Bugs are everywhere, rubberbanding, entering the vette and then just walking around space, specials not working, animations piss-poor... I could go on all day. The only semi-good thing is the legacy quest Needless to say I have already cancelled the 1 account that I opened up for this experiment (used to have 4, some in my guild had more). SOE have totally destroyed this game, it is dumbed-down to such a level that it is actually painfull to play it. I really feel for the crafters and entertainers, they are useless now as are my 2 jedi. The community is nowhere near as strong as before either, a lot of smack-talking idiots duelling outside Theed SP. i am rambling now, so I will STFU. In closing, SOE ruined this game and crapped all over their customers in the process, great work |

I copied this from the Vanguards "We're Angry at SOE" thread.: High street games shops have been told by Sony that there will be no PS3 pre-owned sections in their stores as it will be illegal for customers to sell any next-gen PlayStation games that they've bought, retail sources have revealed to GamesRadar. It seems that Sony is planning to adopt a licensing system that will mean gamers won't own the PS3 titles that they've paid money for. Instead, they will only be purchasing the licence to play the game and that the software itself will still be Sony property - meaning that the disc won't be the customer's to sell. We assume that the thinking behind this move will ultimately be to stop PS3 games being resold several times - which currently snatches potential sales away from Sony - and to counter the impression in consumers' minds that games are only really worth their pre-owned price and are not worth buying new. When we contacted Sony, it issued us with the following statement: "We have made all of the official announcements at E3 and cannot make any further comments at this time. We will be announcing more news running up to PlayStation 3's launch." I just thought it was an interesting read. Thought I would share. |
