all sounds promising as usual but DAoC is dead since quite some time.
one thing that, at least for me, brought it down is when they made it possible for classes to stay in BG with the noxp and no rp commands. a killer for the top lvl RvR that is already pretty scarce. i met people that say they prefer to own in BG with absolutely best equipment possible and just kill for fun...simpy because top lvl RvR is pretty demanding and they cant own there. that was the final nail in the coffin for me and before anyone start saying i dont know what im talking about, i've played since feb.2002 when it started in europe and i've also played on the US servers. I've played the Classic servers as well. i havent tried WoW and i doubt i will since the gfx puts me off but one thing that game has going for it is alot of people about, in daoc it can be pretty empty and it seem only elite players are still around. mythic has imo been throwing breadcrums to us all for a long time while never really dealt with what really bothers people. so now they have finally startet to redo the classes? wow...but way too late. a new class and profession will help? no its just more sugercubes for the lot... |

Actually, your buying a Class, altough this anyone class appears to make a move on unlockable 'jobs'(classes) that is found in MMO's such as FFXI. I have played DAoC since its 1st beta, and left after I got my 'party favors' ( AKA Darkness Riseing) Which I beat in less then one week of casual play, I left beacuse I payed $30 for a week and a over zealous art upgrade. I do plan on returning to Camelot, as FFXI is getting horrid and dull. |
