Carolyn Koh looks at the third adventure pack, "The Fallen Dynasty", and the second expansion, "Echoes of Faydwer". These two upcoming releases were announced just before E3 and on display in the SOE booth at the show.

The 3rd expansion, and the first with content for beginners to players in the end game (levels 1 through 70). This expansion has been compared to the “Kunark” expansion in scope, as it contains an entire continent with over 20 zones and a new race with associated starting city, quests and newbie hunting areas.

Release is slated for November 2006, so I received few details other than what was provided and many “Yet to be decided / determined type answers.”

Can the Fae fly? “We don’t know yet.”

ive bolded the mistake, its the third and not second expansion to be released for EQ2 :).

The adventure pack sounds good, more free content for us all access users, however a new expansion already sounds a bit rushed... id rather have them work out the bugs with the first two expansions before they start making new ones. Also give a guy some time to lvl? lol.

Sounds like a money graber but will probaly still preorder for in-game item.

At least the questions seemed a bit more digging, even though the answers were not LOL.  Good article all in all, I just have one question that hasn't really been asked yet, "With the addition of a new race, will players be given another character slot or two for creating the new race?"  Other than that, hats off

Very exciting news :) I'm happy to see that while we will have to wait for quite a while for the next expansion, the next adventure pack is just around the corner !

I seriously do not see that happening. Never hapened in the origonal Eq when new races were introduced.
