Actually, Sigil just backed away from Microsoft and their mucho funding to satisfy the gamers and to keep true to their vision instead of turning it into something that they, nor the gamers who followed the game, wanted.

The answer is a sad recollection of the times.

Oh well, it leaves the servers freer of the whiners and the doom and gloom bringers. More fun for the real Vanguard fans that are determined to continue to give the game a chance.

I now see why SOE make the rule that you have to play the game to post on the game forums. Otherwise they would have every Tom, Dick and Harry complaining about the game; even if they don't play the darn thing.

Exactly,  people can't seem to grasp the concept that Microsoft is too controling and Sigil needs a publisher that will let them work freely.  Of course it's going to be SOE because Brad obviously worked with SOE before and EverQuest was a hit when it was released in 1999.

Only a fanboi with SOE blinders on would make such a statement. The concern with SOE's involvement is very justified given SOE's history.

God how simple does this have to be put to make people like you understand? SOE can almost do jack shit to alter Vanguard. Sigil made the deal because they understood how much control it gave them over Vanguard. Any ideas that SOE have they have to go through Sigil with. Brad will not justify damage to his game. He has also stated, over and over, that he has no need or desire to sell the rights to Vanguard in the near or far future.

Maybe I am a Fanboi. My SOE blinders have been developed with clear, logical thought, not fanaticism. You are so determined in you hate of SOE that you will dismiss a game that you previously looked upon as full of promi
