You''ve been a bad girl Miss Liberty, now go to my room! |
With having to play off a ship as a crewan listening to orders, this does not seem like a world to me. This just seems like one mission after the other with no exploration mode. I would of rather wanted to start on one of the Star Trek Planets and then pick a path of my own and be able to travel were I wanted to. |

Mmhh. i think you can choose your path, only restricted by Starfleet existence. You START as a crewman on a NPC ship, but after such a newbie period, you will be able to, supposedly, specialize in a branch of starfleet, and join a players' ship as a bridge officer.... or get your own personal Escort-class ship with which to wander around. Sounds pretty good to me. "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime" |

I belive your going to be able to solo command any ship in the game, NPC's can be your crew, not just players.

Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things you've done. |

Not quite any ship, but some. Many of the larger ships will have a minimum crew requirement, per Executive Producer Daron Stinnett. Keep your eyes on the Perpetual STO site over the next week or two, as the updated FAQ should be coming out soon, likely with information on this topic and many others. |

If you truely believe this is how it will be by all means dont play. However if you evben bother to read their website and still think this is how it will be... seek help NOW. It generally amazes me how little people inform themselves before making absurd opinions and what more then taking those opinions and sharing them with the public. |

I'd like to be a crewmember with the ability to rise in rank and possibly build a reputation as a highly regarded tactical officer, or something of that effect. |

Yea the idea of starting low on the food chain and working up to be captian or admiral is very appealing to me as well... but then again I am guessing we are both roleplayers where as the OP is simply a kid that wants it all NOW handed to them on a latnum platter... |

i also want to work my way up, that is what is wrong with gaming these days, NOW NOW NOW, I WANT IT NOW. If parenting taught about earning and gaining through hard work our future generations wouldnt be such fragile, sensitive cry babies. I grow tired of the immaturity, and when im poppin out kids of my own, ill be beating their asses anytime they get out of line, F the corner and grounding crap, im gonna welt some asses.. When i wanted something, i was told to get a job. When i wanted my car, i bought it myself, when i accidentally wrecked my car, mommy and daddy didnt pay for it, I DID. I RESPECT MYSELF< MY PROPERTY AND MY IDEA OF VALUES. GROW UP GAMERS, or dont play, simple as that.....whew time to take a milkshake break....... lol some agree with me some dont, for those that do, rock on, for those that dont, ur prolly the ones i hate anyway. if you post, remember, ive got a belt and ill whip ur ass.

Keeping my eye on this one. I'm not a big Star Trek fan, but this game could be a winner. I like the idea of a player-manned crew. Will be tough to implement, i.e. everyone in the crew having something vital to do at all times. And the option to go it solo is good for those lone wolves as well.
