I actually really like CoH, but was upset by the nerf-fest when I made my account. |
Shut down the servers, kick every fanboy in the jewels and fire the devs.
Hire a good company, NCsoft maybe, to create a good DnD game. Institutionalize anyone dumb enough to pay for this train-wreck.    |

Well said. This is the typical game made by business men that maybe have played a crappy D&D game just to see what it is. A game must be made by gamers or it wont success. You can not make a game just making a crappy study of the market that just think about ppl like part of a math algorith. They think, as many thought, that they must make a game not too different from others, where your character cant suffer any real risk of dying forever, something similar to EQ but trying but changing some things. EQ dont pretend to be realistic, dont pretend to be D&D, just a game for powerlvls, to get power and meet friends ddoing huge raids, and it is well done for what it pretends. |

What sort of games do you guys actually like then?
I've played all the online MMORPGs at one time, and right now I find D&D very intertaning and different in terms of combat and questing style. It seems to me like people are biased cause they just want another WoW or EQ but with better graphics.. I also agree this game is a waste, there isnt even any pvp, its basically group only yet no1 wants to interact, this game is comparable to an oldschool baldurs gate or so, but costs way to much, and a monthly fee...bah i wopuld consider this game if it was say half price andno fee but wheres the point, so many other better games out there, very dissapointed.

Personally, I dislike the community of this game more than anyother I have participated in. very elitist, rude, condecending and eager to insult even a suggestion that there could be improvements. I recently did the 7 day trial out of real boredom and got a couple toons to 7 or so in about the 5 days i actually played. Lag is still harsh, memory leak is terrible, I think the graphics stink, quests are so repetative. Teams run like hell to the objectives, no one cares if you die or are left behind. If you wait for someone who does die, the rest of the team abandons you as well. This was the same for the whole 5 days too, not just one bad party. Overall, the best thing I can say about DDO,.....is that its not as bad as DnL, which ain't sayin' much. |
