FASA is no longer owned by microsoft.. the rights were baught by the guy who created it, and he has a new company called smith&tinker. includes mechwarrior, shadowrun, and crimson skies. this is a good news for somebody want a professional to manage the funny games, so I wish there will be more and more people who like to play the game. |

No, as I said in the previous post, Smith&Tinker just licensed the IPs from Microsoft, M$ still owns them. Right from the horses mouth: 10/15/2007 Smith & Tinker is pleased to announce that it has licensed from Microsoft the electronic entertainment rights for Mr. Weisman's previous creations of MechWarrior, Shadowrun, Crimson Skies and the other properties of the FASA catalog. We're not quite ready to announce our plans for each property, but please be assured that our goal is to surprise and delight old fans, while welcoming new fans to these fantastic worlds.

A mechwarrior mmo based on the EVE platform would kick ass. Almost all of the mechanics could be modified to fit a mech based game. |

ya........I think he did.
Exteel is crap compared to Mechwarrior.......and MW was the blueprint for all mech games.(There are a couple exceptions such as Robotech) But very few anything that goes into Mechwarrior/Battletech has been around for 30 years. As I recall Exteel is only a couple years old. For Jordan to raise enough venture capital to justify starting a new company that has the Shadowrun & Battletech IP is a pretty big feat. The design process for a Battletech MMO could take a very long time. |

Ya I'm dying for updates as well, My snooping skills got me exactly where they did when S&T was created. We don't even know which they are doing first Battletech or Shadowrun. I wan't Battletech though. |

None at this time. That news blurb on S&T's site is still the only one which exists. I sure do want a BattleTech MMO though. |
