It would be hard to be more excited about this game. It's really great to know that there are still at least a couple of companies that will wait till a product is ready to be released rather than dumping cargo to meet a marketing deadline. The money from Asia should insure the success of the title for everyone, I'm hoping.

I WAS excited about this game. I was so ready for this game, simply because of the genre, that I joined the forums signed up for the beta and even told my friends to do so as well. Although now, as I have stated in previous posts, I have serious disdain and hatred for this company now and put them up there with the morons at SOE for screwing up SWG. They originally claimed to release the game in DECEMBER! When actually beta testing had not even started. It doesnt matter how cheap they make it, how many countries are offered in it or even if everyone in the world played it except me. I would not touch this game or anything else from this developer because of the fact they have led the fans along on a leash for too long, empty promises and hardly any updates to their website. Its sad and pathetic. And this article about them tapping into the rich asian market only proves that they are more interested in making money than satisfying the consumer and that, Mr. Wiliams, will simply not do.
Thanks, Aaron |

I know, I'm just a fanboy (the banner in my sig should say it all), so I suppose you won't find it strange that I got quite a different impression from the interactment of the developers of PotBS. And yes, I can see how you interpret this article as a hunger for money. But aren't they just promising to create a localized expansion of a game, so it will be liked better by the consumers? It'd be like saying a comedian is only trying to be amusing so he can get more bucks. You'd be right, but isn't it also rather obvious, that if the comedian is not trying to be funny, the audience would have a lousy time at his performance? What's the point of playing a game if the setting means nothing to you? So, yes, FLS is in there for the bucks, but as much (and personally, I'd say more so) to create something that people will actually enjoy playing. Personally I really get the idea that the FLS developers do care a lot more about their fans then you experienced it. At least they often join the PotBS irc channel (and aether is there pretty much all of the time), they work along with interviews hosted by fansites, give us a good share of developement logs.
