You're just jealous because the voices only speak to me. |
My understanding is that alot of the original design team for WoW has moved on. I wish they were back. That the highend content design has been left in the hands of the "hardcore raiders" such as Tigole is frustrating to say the least. They continue to design more and more content and expend ever more resources on events and content that will be seen by an ever smaller group of players.
I'm sure it's all nice. All I got out of it were a few server crashes when the gates opened on my server. But whatever. I'll play my own game. When I cease to have fun. I'll move on. It's only a game anyway. Just wish they'd expend as much effort on the other 99% of us. |

Your editorial further proves the most valuable resource WoW has is the positive spin. The game patches are very very thin on content given the number of subscribers. Coming from AC2 I'm shocked by what morsels keep the WoW players happy versus how much hell we gave Turbine for monthly updates that had much more content than a WoW patch. I'm sure many MMO's will try to copy WoW but I wonder if they really get how much of WoW's success is based on great artwork and positive spin? Buck |

I can see more about why I left WoW everytime I see such updates. I am still wondering what would pull me back. I see content that only drove me away from the game. I had to travel all over for quests to go back to start to go the same places all over again. That got old and so my guild wanted me to do raids. Raids were boring and not much fun. I tried though to help my guildmates. I lost all interest though. I have moved on to other games. I see updates like this and for the Battlegrounds and feel like I made the right choice. I am glad people enjoy the game. I wish I did because there is so much I do like but playing WoW seems extremely boring to me. Good luck to all who are playing.

First of, WOW is the first MMO(RPG??) I played and to be honest, lvl-ing was great fun for me, doing some Q's alone, sneaking around, discovering new areas, geting that rush when I first saw a member of opposing faction, and ofcourse finding a group and doing an instance, working together, making a diference, and then I HIT LVL 60 BG's are a topic for it self, I tryed and I stay the hell away from them! I would like for a game with over 5 million players (I live in a country with 5 million citizens) to have litle more creative energy, not just turn it in numbers, numbers, numbers, grinding, farming and all those nasty words I dont like, I know its harder to think of a Q that requires inteligence and creativity to solve but to make the game have none is the worst, I see myself as WOW-er few more month's max, gonna try few more classes, maybe even Alliance, if push comes to shove, but if I want mindless action there are so many FPS games outthere and they can also be played online, and they take more skill to play, and U can't be lifelless zombie that has spent last 6 months in MC to be able to 1crit wipe me with your gear I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy but the funn this game is pretenting to be when u hit 60 makes accounting look like bungeejumping and rafting rolled into one!

Have to agree with the above posters, WoW just sucks at 60+. The illusion of "end game" is a farce, since you spend more time gearing out at 60 than you do just getting there, and it's a hell of a lot more repetative - the content itself; adding more should make it a bit less so but every new instance seems to be the same dull grind for gear with scripted encounters that can only be completed one way. Left months ago and haven't yet seen a reason to re-sub. |

Should have talked about the absolute destruction of Server performance and stability that ocurrs when this Special Event fires off. This whole 'article' reads like an advert for WoW. Not that I don't like WoW; I play it, and have done so since launch. But a bit more even treatment in articles like this would be nice. Let's hear the bad along with the good.

I have to agree with the other posters. Hawken's 'editorial' is almost like a parody of a fanboy gushing. Kill 41 THOUSAND of a mob? Where do I sign up!?! Fortunately, I still have barely explored many of the classes in WoW and the quests on the alliance side, so I will probably be able to keep interest until NWN2 comes out. I just have to remember to stop lvling at 49 if I want to do BGs. |
