Hey All, I just wanted to share some links to some SWG videos. Some are VERY well done, one musical called Don't Stop Movin' is very entertaining. Others reminded me of what a great game we used to have. Some really didn't have my taste of music so i just turned down the volume and watched. Hope you guys and gals enjoy some of these as much as I did. If you do .... leave a post. Some of these videos, tributes to what SWG once was are truley great but sad. I especially liked, Exodus, SW Veterans Montage and SWG Goodby Small on the farewell line. The authors chose very good and appropiate songs in the backgrounds. At of the time I'm writing this there aren't any stupid dumb remarks usually made by the few who always run to defend SWG whenever anyone says anything about it. The only people who understand the farewell videos are the ones who were there before the CU's and the ones who are mature minded enough to know when to leave a company that screwed the entire player base. I see these "defenders" who some called "fanbois" constantly ask why we, the ex-vets put down the current game. They say, "the money you paid is nothing". They add, "it's only a game". WE know its only a game and the $16 is nothing but its a game we came to enjoy and love. A game we took time and effort to indentify with. A game that was part of our lives for a few years. A game where we met many new friends and injoyed their company. A game that became part of us for so long. This isn't something you can easily forget or throw aside. Yes, for these SOE puppets it's nothing as they are totally clueless and have a lot of growing up to do to comprehend things like this. To understand the meaning of unity which translates into strength. To understand you don't continue to support a company like SOE who continue to do the things they do. But for us, we know what it was like and how much it meant to us. Getting stabbed in the back by a company we were loyal to is bad enough, but having to leave it all behind just makes it all that much worse. These puppets of SOE will probably never understand any of this. Hence, their comments and their rushing to constantly defend this treacherous company. The only consolation is that, somewhere down the line it'll happen to them too. They can't be that naive to think it can't or won't. |

Video under the funny listing is great. She becomes a Master Jedi under the new NGE and she couldn't kill anything. She starts out by trying to kill the real tough creatures and foes but can't. She now goes down the line and even a few Robas kill her. Finally, she confronts a Nuna and hits it with electricity and nothing happens. She tries all her Jedi powers and the creature still stands. And this is an almighty Jedi. This goes to show you how much the NGE stinks. Well said video. The entire state of this new game is the same way, weak! |

I am please to see that at least some of you are enjoying these videos. I agree that the video about a Jedi after the NGE hit was extremely funny. There certainly were some very talented people making these videos. Sago Mactow |

The group that did the Helios Men vid ALSO did a Fett's Vette video and now makes WoW videos. They go by the name Windspire Entertainment and I'm pretty sure you can still get their stuff if you google Windspire. Anyone who has NOT seen Fett's Vette, really should go out and track it down, as it's a SWG must see on par with the classic Sith Code vid. As a matter of fact, Windspire's videos are directly responsible for my having finally broken down to try SWG in the first place. These guys were true masters of the entertainment profession and frapps. _______________________ |

Finally got around to watching most of the vids and both the story ones were awesome but hats off to that second one (story vids) the final 40% of the movie was just too funny.

I honestly hope the folks designing Vanguard learn something from the disposessed swg vets on their forums and translate it into their game. While I'm not a fan of the fantasy setting and think elves, etc are fit only to grace a dinner table at this point, I'd bite the bullet and settle for fantasy if there were any hope of reclaiming the fun of being a crafter or (sadly I think this is not to be) a dancer, musician or stylist of some sort again. I am so WEARY of the continuous rehash of kill-kill-kill-loot-loot-loot-raid-lootspamspamspam..... where there is no break from the monotony and only the avatars and playfields identify the game you're playing. I'm sick to death of forced link between combat and crafting, sick of rewards ONLY given to the repetitive cycle of kill-quest-kill, sick of the mindnumbing sameness of it all. I hate the lack of individuality and uniqueness. I despise the lack of intellectual exercise and the horrible sense of limitation of choice. I NEED the freedom to be rewarded for both social behaviors and actions AND to pursue more (typical) violent goals as it suits me. And I know I am NOT alone in this.

Hey all ... I need a break from daendor ... my blood pressure is getting too high ... LOLOL. Anyways ... I am soooo glad you guys like these videos so much. I thought some of them were awesome ... I just had to share what I found. One question ... do they do stickies here? It doesn't look like it, but it shows that you guys are enjoying them. BTW ..
