All I can say is I will do whatever I can to never by ANY Sony product again. It might be hard but I will try my best. I will also try to never by ANY Star Wars product again. I will try to see that my children and possibly their children never purchase from these companies. I was a true Star Wars fan, but this all just seems to play into a bull crap commercial con. Let's face it we all should have known the first time we saw Jar-Jar on the big screen. Much of this problem comes from Lucas. It wasn't just the credits and the rare loots that were lost due to the expansion. It was also the complex communities and the friendships. I logged in one day and basicly Sony said,"You can't play that game anymore. Here is some junk and by the way we are keeping the money you paid in advance." Immediately people that I had known for years began to vanish. I can not ponder as to why Sony did what they did. I can ponder that Lucas is an idiot. But all I can do from now on is have my own personal boycott. Thats how capitalism works. |

What a complete line of BS. They are doing a great job of winning their customers back that way.

I played SWG back in the day when you had to train and grind just to become force sencertive and when there was tens of doctors at Coronet all selling buffs for around 10k, those where the days and i still miss them. I wonna no if a returnuing SWG player could get a free 14 day trial to see how much it has changed and to find out if its worth playing again.

The game isn’t designed to keep people playing." - Smed NOW you realize that! - Shayde |
this is funny as hell. I would like to commend the interviewer for asking the tough questions that the tool dodged like he was Neo in The Matrix. No comment. No comment No Comment He could be the next white house press secretary. |

I wonder how they can honestly expect to rebuild any kind of credit with the potential player base with canned answers and blow offs like "We never have and never will comment in regards to subscriber and player numbers".....the truth is in the subscriber numbers and the sooner they realize that the sooner theyll be able to make a game that people actually want to pay to play. Unfortunately, I dont like to flame but I have gone back to SWG 3 times....each time hoping its at least taking a step in the right direction (this game has teh potential to be HUGE! But its had awful support) so Im very jaded now. I wish someone with a serious ability would take over this game and make it what all Star Wars fans wish it was. But then that answer is obviously locked away in the dark dungeon never to be opened only known as "subscriber and player numbers" and they refuse to look at that.

Not to worry, we are still flying *half* a ship. |
We never have and never will comment in regards to subscriber and player numbers." Well, most recently, I believe the producers letters on the SWG did make a comment about server numbers including the statement that %80 of the current player base was playing before the NGE. Clearly, another clueless remark. "MMORPG.com: We asked this before and the answer was no. However, today, I’d like to re-submit it. Are there any plans for a “classic server” that runs an older version of the game? No, and not for business reasons – it is impossible in terms of technology and resources." Obviously, this person is unaware that modern software development uses Source Control software which maintains and tracks the chages to the souce base. Apparenently, he is also equally unaware of modern backup systems. The Engineering problem is not the issue. They have simply decided the business issue is the reason. I really wish SOE would hire people that could state, with more clarity, what they really mean. |

The Internet. Serious business. |
Why do an interview if you're not going to answer anything?
The game is going... going... plop. | |
