Switzerland beat the Czech Republic 3-2 at the Olympics. The Czech's where top seed in their group I think. But wow, Switz was the underdog. What an amazing game. Kudos to both teams.

"It''s a simple matter of weight ratio, a 5 ounce swallow can''t carry a 1 pound coconut!"

Switzerland won because "The Dominator" (Dominik Hasek) went down with an injury....oh well, them the breaks. I feel kind of bad for the Olympics, the ratings are down 30% on TV and they are being beat by stupid American Idol (27 million viewers to 16 million viewers) and in Torino they are filling the venues, which are rarely full, with school kids.

Hate to say it Fulmanfu, you are among the minority in watching this....and judging by your little hippity hop hop thread....you are both crazy and have waaaay too much time on your hands.

Anyways the Candians (Eh!), Russians and Czechs should be the favorites.....poor USA tied Latvia, who you may ask...yes Latvia...::::16::

Latvia did well the US was one behind in the last quarter. US had to tie it or else face a loss. But you can tell in the end Latvia was kind of playing keep away in fear of a US comeback. Both teams did well, but the US team made a few mistakes.

Yeah, I saw Hasek go down. I've never seen him play so I don't know how good he is Vokun (sp?) did pretty well though.

Russia just beat Sweden 5-0, rough for the Swed's.
