Heh, even with multiple accounts Eve Online does not have near the actually subscription numbers of WoW or SOE.  So for that community to come out here and vote when they were hugely out-numbered speaks volumes to me.  I would venture to say you could ask MMORPG how many unique logins were created for the sole purpose of voting. 

Probably a lot of them were for Eve, that just means that like the get out an vote grass roots movement on our forums worked.  Every community has its vocal portion and Eve is not lacking there.  We are fiercely loyal to CCP for their ability to at least be visible to the community and speak to them daily.

I have been playing the game since it launched and will continue to play and dabble in the other games on the market.  To me, Eve won on its own merit.

Congrats to CCP!

Not giving the best graphics to EQ2 just show some huge flaws behind peoples logics.  Fanboi to the extreme!  LOL.  A community that keep claiming they are mature, not kids...yet they bluntly state EVE is the best for graphics?  I dunno, those choices kinda lose all their credibility over this point for me.  Especially that...it is not even close...it show a clear majority thinking EVE is #1, than WoW?  LOL, presponderous!  Talk about a complete lack of maturity for a community!  Often peoples state what they lack the most as their quality.  EQ vent a lot about soloing.  EVE vent a lot about a mature community.  Now about graphics...LOL.

There is no way EVE graphics are even in the same category...but well...if someone say that Poopy from GU Comics is the best draw Woody made, he have a right to.

But EQ2 graphics are simply outstanding.

Am I the only one who realizes that it's not about how many subscribers the game has?

I'm not a huge EVE fan as I play a lot of other games, but I have to agree with the results. CCP has become one of the greatest independent developers on earth - and their game EVE Online shows why. The game isn't for those with short attention spans. The games complexity casts a shadow that could cover the entire world of Azeroth.

I for one congratulate CCP and their awards because they certainly earned it.

WoW graphics have a style, but they are by no means the same quality.  WoW lack the very tools to compete.  Yes, they are nice, yes they have a style, but they doesn't even have the tools to compete.  Saying anyone won beside EQ2 is like saying someone using 4 colors has the best graphics.  Considering that EQ2 graphics are extremely nices and that they use FAR superior technology and tools and mucho work (Kudos SoE), well, they eliminate all competition.

Someone saying otherwise is blinded.  Yes, I have some friends who are great artists, they make wonderful stuff, but they won't claim that what they do is nicer when they doesn't even have the tools.

Voting is a lot like politics. Eve Online obviously got the votes out. EQ2 didn't. Best graphics is comepletly subjective as well. I know people who swear by the WoW graphics better then EQ2 graphics. If you mean better in terms of processor hog, then YES EQ2 would win that vote!

Yeah, but when they say better graphics in reference to WoW. They aren't talking about texture quality or the overall graphics engine itself. They are talking about the art style itself. EQ2 by far has the best looking graphics of any game currently out. Because the graphics engine itself is very robust and can do many things. Good graphics though is more then just a great engine. It's also art style. You can have the prettiest textures in the world, but if concept behind the world has no flare. Well then that shiny new graphics engine is pretty useless.

I agree with the guy though. Saying Eve-Online has the best graphcis is just plain laughable. Hence why it is one of the reasons that I am disappointed by this poll. Winning 4 catergories? Come on, lets be real now. If the poll was accurate no game would have even won two catergories.

Well i played most of the mmorpgs outhere, and i got to say EVE is one of the best now, besides Asheron's Call which still is a great very old mmorpg, the complexity, the non grind, the graphics, the pvp, and the player market driven universe in EVE won.

EVE is a good game, but is not a perfect game. Bugs do exists, some game design mistakes are in, but overall is the best game on the market, if u like complex, nice mmorpgs.

One of the best things i love about this game, is that i dont have to grind like u guys do in WOW, Lineage and so on. If i dont play month my skill will train anyway( the one i choose to train), and also the market is controlled by the players, the crafting(manufacturing system is great) on comparison with the other games.
Also there is one server( ONE SERVER) with 17-23k ppl on it.

WOW has the largest player data base because is newb mmorpg, most of the players there are at their first mmorpg, which is okie i guess to start with. Before WOW i played other mmorpgs, so i couldn’t resist more then 2 weeks.
