I like dungeons and dragons online but it's not how I would of done it and I'm not sure I going to play it. But no matter how well a game company does there will be a loud contingent of folks screaming the blues. I don't for one moment think my opinion speaks for anyone else but me and when I see these familiar rants (on all game forums) I try to remember that it's just one person's view (no matter how much they try to speak for all of us). It has become almost a circus on all game forums with this "let's see how much I can trash this game" attitude because they personally didn't like it. I try to remember that many do like the game (and will not argue the point in a forum) and try to respect their feelings with my posts. I wish the game had gone for lots of short dangerous quests that didn't allow rushing and I knew going in that pvp and soloing weren't part of the deal so there was no need to bring it up. But many seem to need to force each game that comes to us to conform to what they want and expect which leads us down the path of clonism. In any event, if you like D& D you will probably like the game if you can get past the mmog regulars that flit from game to game wreaking havoc with their "I beat the game and hurry up" attitudes and "the game will fail" doom and gloom predictions. Only time will tell and I hope the game is a hit with the kinds of folks that like group play and the strategy and tactics in how the grouping is done. Good luck to DDO (and to their fans). |

It's the type of syndrome that the people are suffering from. Every time a new game goes live... People always say it's gonna die, or lots of ramble about it. I'm not that type of person for some strange reason why every game needs a fanboy. |
