Note: This is a guide that I have complied based on my research on the internet, I have also added a few things for your convienence.

HolyBeast Online

There are 6 different races in the game as you can see, each has its own strength and weakness and each can only become certain classes. Each also has a base element which it is strongest with, which may effect elemental based mobs later in the game (Im not sure).

For those still interested in the game, Ill post everything you need to get started and a couple of guides on the classes and races.

First comes first, Registration Guide!:

Step 1: Go to HolyBeast Online

Step 2: Click the "Join Members Go" link, as show below.

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the left option as shown below.

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 for this page.

Step 5: The big page! Use this guide to help you fill in your user information. (I put single letters in the "anything" spots, used a 10 digit random phone number and also did a random address (like 123 anything street)). You don't have to remember anything other then your User Name and Password. Also, put no spaces in the phone number section.

Also don't forget to check your User Id (the grey button by the User Id box):

Now for Installation!:

Step 1: Download the Game

Step 2: Install onto your computer.

After you download HolyBeast Online, run the setup program. I wont post images since its pretty self explanatory and theres already enough images (poor 56k'ers) but I will give a short verbal walkthrough.

After running the setup, click the top bubble to agree to the TOS then click (N)ext. After that select (if it isnt already selected) the top option for typical installation then click (N)ext. After that choose a download folder and (yep you guessed it) then click (N)ext. Wait for the install and tada, HolyBeast Online is installed!

Step 3: Update!

Go to the folder you installed HolyBeast Online to, and look for a application named UpgradeClient.exe. If you don't see it, run HBOnline.exe. Youll get a black screen and some message, which is normal because its outdated and cant connect to the server. It should however, give you the UpgradeClient.exe.

Upgrade Client Window:

Red: Server Selection (They are all mirrors of eachother, and all your character data is supported on each one, so choose one as you wish, you can switch between them).

Blue: Start Game
Green: Exit
Orange: Single File Download Progress
Brown: Total Download Progress

The update will start automatically when the client is run, use the red drop down box to select a server then click the blue option when available.

Note: HBOnline.exe acts as a quickstart after you update and chooses the last server you selected with the upgrade client.exe

Game Start!:

(Note by me: If you have trouble seeing chinese characters properly go to Start > Control Panel > Date, Time, Language and Regional Options > Regional and Language Options > Advanced Tab > and from the drop down tab select Chinese [PRC]. This will NOT effect your programs that display unicode characters (such as english) but it will use Chinese characters for any program that shows up in giberish (like the weird symbols you see in kRO setup).

Log In Screen:

Pretty Self Explanatory, but for those lost:
Red: Username
Green: Password
Blue: Ok [Log In]
Brown: Cancel [Exit]

Server Select:

Red: Servers, 4-2 is where the english community meets.
Blue: Number of characters on said server. (3 per account)

Character Select:

Color Key:
blue=play with selected character
green=create new character (note: 3 characters per account)
red=delete currently selected character
black=cancel/exit

Character Creation:

Color Key:
black=change animal color (only 2 choices)
red=change character hair style/color
cyan=male or female
green=character name box
brown= animal selection (tiger, bull, hawk, dragon, dog, monkey)
purple=ok and cancel

Note by me: The two drop down boxes below your character name box are (in the following order from top to bottom):

Starting City: (there are two, the second one is the biggest)

Class Selection: (In beta there are a total of 5 classes, Warrior Thief/Rogue Mage Priest and Archer however only certain races can be certain jobs, here is a guide to help you choose the class you want.)

Warrior:

Tips and more information:

The English community Ive met so far is at HolyBeast Unleashed, they all meet on server 4-2 (in game). All the information Im about to show you can finde on HolyBeast Unleashed, but for your convienece Ill sum it up here.

Stat Effects, (listed from top to bottom as they are in game):

力量 [ Strength ]
Increases physical attack and critical rate of skills.

智慧 [ Wisdom ]
Increases max MP, magic defense and max magic damage.

毅力 [ Stamina ]
Increases physical defense, max CP as well as CP and HP
regeneration rates.
Max CP = Stamina x ( 30 + level/4 )

敏捷 [ Agility ]
Increases dodge rate and critical hits.

體質 [ Vitality ]
Increases physical defense and max HP.
Max HP = Vitality x ( 60 + level )

定性 [ Intelligence ]
Increases magic attack and MP regeneration rate.

Wisdom = + Water spells
Vitality = + Earth spells
Intelligence = + Fire spells

Stat Placing Guide: (Black for main stat, white for supporting)

Mages:

All 3 races for mages have different characteristics. There are 3 types
of magic skills namely fire, water and wind which corresponds to each
race.

Magic attack :
1. Fire ( Tigers )
2. Wind ( Apes )
3. Water ( Dragons )

Speed of magic casting :
1. Water ( Dragons )
2. Wind ( Apes )
3. Fire ( Tigers )

As you can see, fire skills deal the highest damage. Since tigers are
of fire nature, tiger mages with high INT are insane killing machines.
However, fire skills takes much longer to re-cast compared to water
skills so you must be able to handle the cool down time.

Wind skills is a complicated issue. Tiger and dragon mages can deal pretty
good damage with both fire and water skills. However, if either race tries
to use wind skills, their damage are kinda pathetic. So it would be wise to
leave wind skills to apes.

Water skills deal the lowest damage but needs lesser cool down time.
There is only 1 water skill below level 40 as of now therefore current
dragon mages mostly use both fire and water skills.

And as most of you would know :
- Wisdom increases damage of water/ice skills
- Intelligence increases damage of fire skills
- Vitality increases damage of wind skills

To sum up the difference between dragon and tiger mages :

龍 ( dragons )
- high max MP
- low MP usage
- quick spell casting
- high magic defense

虎 ( tigers )
- low max MP
- high MP usage
- slow spell casting
- high magic attack
- quick MP regeneration

A few tips for new players :
- HP & MP regeneration is much faster in beast form
- Make use of quests to level
- Remember to change weapons as you level up
- Mages only need to focus on 3 stats ( WIS, INT & VIT )

Well, there was plans for one but I'm not sure anymore. The english site has been down for a while, I hope they make an english beta but right now its not looking too good.

I signed up but when I try log in it says aload of stuff and gives me the log in screen again, any idea whats up? I've signed up twice now to make sure I didn't get my password wrong

I encountered the password wrong problem too, I believe that is an issue on the other end. It seems it takes at least a day before they verify your account. You can try to use the small guide at the bottom of the guide that details how to register for the game with your account, you should get an acceptance email but I havent gotten one. Then again I did that after I was able to play, so maybe its for people pending to be accepted.
